I would like to design a compliant hinge joint in the same vane as the one presented in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvPSsUkLypY&ab_channel=TheFACTsofMechanicalDesignHow would I go about doing so? So far as I can understand, I believe the solution lies somewhere in adding flexibility to the design, but I'm not entirely sure. I want to be able to model the rolling motion as well as the compliance of the connecting linkage if at all possible. Below I've shared what I've developed so far.

See this image:  The distance between 45° and the curved line is huge compared to the distance between 24.5 and its straight line, making it look a bit weird and inconsistent. I have searched in the config.pro but there doesn't seem to be any setting for this. Any ideas?

Hi, I noticed in the attached sheet that I couldn't integrate a function containing vector input. The same issue came up in my solve blocks trying to find a solution for an equation with vector input. I made a work around by splitting up the vector input in individual elements. Does anyone know a solution that doesn't involve splitting up the vector input? I have highlighted my questions in the attached sheet. Thank you!

Hello, I'm using the AFX extension on Creo 4.0 and everytime I use any of the 8020 profiles, or any slotted profile, the slots never actually appear. Does anybody know why the slots never appear? Thanks!

Issue: Annotations not showing in drawing Views with different combination states. There are three different annotations. I want to show two annotations in one view and the third annotation in the other view-the two views are in different combination states but of the same model (assembly).•Two different views with different combination states.•The annotations are not showing even after selecting the annotation tab and selecting show annotations. The annotations are in a part within the assembly.•In the model (an assembly) the annotations show in both combination states with no issues.•In the drawing they do not show.

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me out with this seemingly simple task.   I'm adding sketch lines to a finished 2D drawing to mark where custom cuts must be made.  How do I define the dimensions of the line, such as creating the sketch line 1 inch away from a predefined part view line?  I can snap to those lines, but I can't define a simple dimension for the distance between the two lines, or even the length of a sketch line??

Hi, I have problem with step range function when I put step which gives me array with more than 5000 elements. It gives me an error with overflowing. It is really strange for me because when I insert an array with more than 5000 elements from excel table, it works fine. So, do you know why this is happening, because 5000 elements doesn't sound too big for me. If it's overflowing, do you know other way how I can make an array with size of inserted array from excel, because it is important for me that number of elements of array can vary with using other excel tables. Thanks in advance and Best Regards!

hi I'm in charge of application support.  How do you generate a mathcad usage report?  i would like to see a list of machine names/usernames/ datetimes and license number to see who is using what version and when?  I have tried doing this through the ptc community website it all it gives me is the license and subscription information.  not the detailed users who are checking out the licenses.  thanks

Hi,   In 3D ,Using Pro3dDispListCreate to keep circles or lines etc drawn with ProGraphicsDraw Func. However, in 2D drawings, circles with Pro3dDispListCreate do not look like circles, and with Pro2dDispListCreate, circles or lines drawn with ProGraphicDraw disappear when panned or zoomed in/out.   If there is a way to keep items drawn with ProGraphics Draw in 2d, please help.   Warm Regards, SeonHo CHA.

Hi, I use creo parametric 2.0. I have problem and questions. IF it possible in creo 2.0 make a part and after split have 2 separate part? I know I'm backing up and cutting etc but I'm looking for a creo function that would allow me to do this without backing up.

When I turn on a cross-section, some solid models appear as surface models. They appear as 'hollow'. Nevertheless, 'Show Clipped Model as Solid' is checked on in 'Options', and 'Capped_clip' in config.pro is set to 'yes'....Any suggestions as to what could be wrong? ( Creo 4.0 )   Kind regards    

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150I have an assembly that contains parts PRT1 and PRT2. I made a parameter KOS that allows me to choose which part is active in the assembly using IF statement in pro/program.In the assembly i also have a coordinate system, that I would like to place on default coordinate system of whatever part is "active".I tried adding the add feature of csys inside IF statement which supresses/unsupresses either part (and changed references to the appropriate csys of part), but it returns an error that feature with that ID already exists.Is it possible to change references for a coordinate system inside pro/program? Is it possible to use IF statement inside the add feature of csys where it requests references?(pro/program in attachment)
