Hi Everyone,I'm encountering a challenge while attempting static structural simulations in Creo Simulate using Mid Surface shell idealization with contact definitions.It appears that the contact interactions are being ignored during the solution process, leading to premature termination of the simulation. This issue seems specific to the shell idealization approach.While switching to solid or thin solid idealizations does allow the contacts to be recognized, it significantly increases model complexity and computational time.Has anyone faced a similar issue or found a workaround for this? Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!

Hi there Why I'm having the wrong answer when calculating Re using (In) When Mathcad calculates it I get Re= 1.65 , however in my calculator I got Re=0.67 Thanks

In Mathcad Prime how  do I specify that I want to establish a matrix that has 2 columns and 91 rows?

Readexcel not transferring correct values for scientific notation.  Below are example of change in the exponent from before to after;Before                                    After-4.30E-07-4,30E-05-4.26E-07-4.26E-05-4.13E-07-4.13E-05-3.92E-07-3.92E-05-3.62E-07-3.62E-05-3.23E-07-3.23E-05-2.77E-07-2.77E-05-2.22E-07-2.22E-05-1.58E-07-1.58E-05-8.67E-07-8.67E-04-6.96E-07-6.96E-058.08E-078.08E-04This results in a curve like this: I have found no way to correct the exponents on the two extreme points. The curve should be smooth.

Hello PTC communityI am trying to solve a Topology optimization problem (CREO 10.0.9.0) for a rotating disc, but it is not converging properly.  Here is a simplified version of the problem I am trying to solve. 1) starting geometry = full disc2) preserve geometries = Center and exterior portion of the disc3) Axis have a cylindrical support 4) Contact defined between shaft and disc5) Centrifugal force added in the center axis direction  criteria below:  6) I tried mass reduction or stiffness and both did not converged correct7) I am defining symmetric distribution around axis and symmetric between central plane😎 material is defined with standard properties  This is the result I am getting  I tryied, axissymetric model as well (pie slice), it did not work as well.Any suggestions what I am doing wrong or how to set this problem properly?   

Hello All, In Creo 7 when saving as a STEP, I was able to select the coordinate system in the window shown in the attachment but in Creo 10 the button stays greyed.Does anybody know why this is ? 

Greetings Members As of this week (10/28/25) I am unable to obtain an Activation Key for Express Modeling.  It was working fine the previous week.  Here is a step by step description of what happens:- Click the CE Direct Express icon on my desktop- Obtain the following dialogue, this is normal or at least has been since direct access to the license server stopped working for me in Nov 2023.  Each time I have to reactivate even though I have an account and have been using CE Direct Express for more than 2 years.  Nothing has changed - same laptop, Win 10 OS, etc.- I enter my email address and password, select ‘Activate’ to get this dialogue, also normal.- In my case there is no proxy server, I am merely a PC on the internet.  My internet connection is fast and reliable.  I select the Submit button and obtain this dialogue:- At which point I select ‘Request activation key’.  Normally I would receive an activation key in seconds, paste it into the M

If I try to Open Using Default Template for a result set, I immediately get an error message and then a fatal error. However, if I first launch Creo Simulate, and then use Open Result → Default Template, the same results open normally with no issues.     P.S. i don't have any Z:\ drive  

We are trying to develop a Creo Java Toolkit based application in synch mode (going by the recommendation from PTC) . We would like to use JavaFX for the UI .We see some old articles mentioning the issues related to using JavaFX in Creo Java Toolkit app and like to understand if there are folks who have used it successfully and any guidelines or recommendations to follow to do so.@Florent_Colab @GS_14113977 

Hello!I have a frame design. I wish to get the reactions on the 4 points.I have as load the gravitation.The "Y" Reactions are ok. Way I get also reactions on "X" and on "Z"? In case that I have on corner "1" and "4" NO translation and on the corners "2" and "3" translation, by using of load by side, I will not have reaction in the corners "2" and "3". So ...this is the art to determinate the forces, but this is wrong be side load. So ..how to set the constrains correct?Thank you! 

I am using Creo Schematics Release 12.0 and Datecode12.0.0.0I need to draw a functional diagram of a refrigeration system.Is Schematics the right PTC tool?Are there libraries dedicated to refrigeration components?Is there a tutorial dedicated to this type of system?

I am trying to use custom units in MCP v11. I have an included worksheet that includes a lot of domain-specific units and functions. This has been carried over from MCv15 and previous. I am now noticing that some of these definitions aren't working - I have distilled everything down to one simple example of success and failure, with no apparent reason why. See attached.I also tried to do my due diligence and see if anyone was reporting anything similar. Why there are lots of questions related to use of units, I didn't see a similar issue being reported.

MathCAD Experts,I'm trying to implement a model of a runaway reaction in MathCAD and I am stuck. I have tried everything including rewriting it several times to make sure that I don't have inconsistent units. I used the same variable definitions and then evaluated the derivative terms to make sure they were properly defined before defining them as functions. I thought I'd solved all my problems and now it's telling me that my initial conditions "aren't valid differential equations." Any advice would be most helpful.  I am using MathCAD 9.0.0Sincerely,Erik 

I am using Mathcad Release 15.0 and DatecodeunknownMathcad has not been opening for the past two weeks (no error message appears). The issue seems to be that the required file MSXML 4.0 SP2 was removed for security reasons, as it is outdated. The IT-department does not allow the file MSXML 4.0 SP2. Is there any workaround for this problem?

I can't download MathCad Prime 11. It says, there were no support avaiable. However, we paid the bill in March 2025.

I am using Mathcad Prime Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.1.0I'm a system administrator needing to upgrade Mathcad Prime for our engineers. They are currently running version 9 so I have downloaded version 11. It appears I also need to upgrade the licensing server. Can you point me to the steps I need to take to upgrade licensing server? Will I need a new license key.

Is the "Multi-line Text" tool in Creo Schematics very tedious to use, or is it just my experience?I am trying to place a multi-line note, in the Multi-line Text user interface the note looks as I want it to appear on the field of the drawing. However, when I place the note, it adds spaces between lines. I've tried changing the settings in the Temporary Note Properties GUI, but even those settings are hard to understand what they do. Help please

Creo 10For non spec driven pipes, is there a way to change the color of the center curve after the pipe has been modeled? Where is the control for the curve color?

1：creo12不能检索pro_Library_dir所指定的库中的元件。这是creo12的一个BUG么？因为其它版本的creo是正常的。 2：能不能设置一个选项，可以让功能区按键提示“ALT”被释放出来，用于快捷键比如ALT+1，ALT+F等。功能区按键这个操作太繁琐，按键次数太多并不能起到“快捷”的作用。而且在使用这个功能时因为软件要加载出提示，还会让软件感觉卡顿。再者大多数人并不会用到这个功能，况且还有一个F10可以用来做这个事。为什么ALT与F10两个按键用来做同一个事情呢。还占用ALT这个使用率超高的按键。 建议设置一个选项让用户选择是否使用这个功能，选择不使用这个功能时ALT键可以用来设置快捷键。
