My classmate registered for MathCad (trial subscription) but did not receive any emails from PTC/MathCad. Our professor insists that we use MathCad, but he cannot do homework because his registration never went through. Please advise.

My string library defines three different representations of a string, two of which should already be familar: the string and the vector of character codes. The third type is the vector of characters.   In the following, "str" indicates a string, "vec" indicates a vector of character codes, and "chr" represents a vector of characters. For example, chr2str indicates a conversion from a string to a vector of characters.   chr2str itself is relatively quick, even for long strings. chr2str0 has the limitation of hitting Mathcad's recursion depth limit. chr2str2's use of folding over concat, however, is proving somewhat slow once the string length increases to above about 20,000.   The challenge is to define a faster recursive variant of chr2str.     Where the dependencies are as shown below (except the timer functions, which are in an Area at the top of the attached Mathcad Express 11 worksheet).     Stuart

I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.8.0While trying to set up ModelCheck, the instructions say to go to "To configure the Creo ModelCHECK settings, click File > Options > Environment > ModelCHECK Settings." However, that menu option (Environment) is not available to me.How do I get File > Options > Environment to become available to me?Here are the errors that I facedNone

I have a part with Appearance State already defined, how do I "link" that appearance to the assembly? Context:  I already defined 3 appearance states of a part by assigning colors to various surfaces (for texture map, finished product color, and the default model color). In the assembly, is there a way to quickly switch between these Appearance States of the part? The appearance state of the assembly seems completely independent of the part's appearance. I figure it is to be done via layers or representations, but had zero luck. Thank you.

I'm using MathCAD 9.0.0.0. I laid our 2 sets of 3 equations. One set is using variables. The other set has the values plugged straight in. The set with the variables should equal the set with the values because the values are the same, but they don't and none of them equal the correct answer. What should happen is...Rx=Rx=-22Ry=Ry=211.5R=r=213My MathCAD program is written to follow this example...This is how my MathCAD program looks...Ignore the 25 degrees and the 75 degrees in the diagram. This is a homework problem altered to match the example problem so I can test to make sure it works before plugging in the values for the homework problem. Also, I'm interested in fixing the "values" problems Rx, Ry, and r. I only created those to figure out why my variable problems Rx, Ry, and R aren't working. I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.6.0Unable to find where Creo Chromium-browser-cache is located for Creo 11.0.6.0 on the client to be able to clear it at every Creo start.

I'm using MathCAD 9.0.0.0. I'm not sure why I'm getting the wrong answer. The calculation should be...R = 329.687 N...but I'm getting...R = 108695.156 NIs there something wrong with my settings? Thanks,    Brent 

I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.8.0Basically I’m trying to learn how to create a hole feature UDF with pro program embedded in it where pro program would be prompting user to read values from a text file which would create a different size hole each time the UDF was placed. If I had a part model that had 3 different size tapped holes, could I place the same UDF 3 times but each time read the text file (modified with new values) to create a different size hole (8-32, ¼-20, etc.) Or is this not what Pro Program was intended to do?

Does anyone know why the attached issue is occurring? It seems that when you run units of feet, there is some kind of internal rounding error.

When placing a view in a drawing, the boundary of the view is much larger than the actual solid part.  I think it is referencing some datums or ref geo in the view.  Is there a way to get the view to be proportional to the actual solid body in the view?

Hello, I'm trying to draw 3D spline go through 5 points defined by matrix "a" .After defining matrix of x range, y and z, these three matrixes are not able to be combined by "augment" function.Are there any way to combine these three xyz matrixes? or any other way to plot xyz?

I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.4.0I have written a C executable that will not run unless ucore68.dll is in my Windows path. I want to not be dependent on DLLs if possible.Here are the errors that I faced:The code execution cannot proceed because ucore68.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

We are looking at installing ITI's CADIQ and I was wondering if anyone in the PTC Creo community is already running it and can give us some information. What we are wondering is how it compares to ModelCheck in functionality and quality of the analysis.  ITI has told us that it is an external program, so files need to be saved to disk before running through CADIQ, which is a drawback when we have all of  our data in Windchill.   Love to hear experiences from those that have evaluated or are using CADIQ. Hello,I'm using a worksheet in Mathcad prime 11 with the pwrfit function to interpolate the curve of electronic components.Since I like working with units in Mathcad, I slightly modified the interpolation coefficients to include units.Solve this kind of equation, but with the interpolation VPROT = F(I). I is the resultMy goal is to solve a function that uses this interpolation. The solve function doesn't work, but I can find the solution for a single point using a solve block and the Find function.   Could you help me to solve the solve function 🙂 Thank youSee attached file.  

Hidden line removal for quilt not working with 2D cross-section from Sections used. I want image 2,3,4 to be like image 1 that hides hidden line for quilts. Hello community!I request your help with the following: I want to enter a matrix into a larger one.I’m working on assembling a global stiffness matrix of a structure (truss)I have defined the matrices of each element. The matrix of the element is 4x4, "i"= 1 to "n", n: number of elementsI have an auxiliary matrix that defines in each row the degrees of freedom associated with each element. For example row 1 contains the degrees of freedom of element 1 and so on. I named this matrix GDL  What I want is for Mathcad to grab the matrix of each element and place it in the global matrix at the positions corresponding to the columns and rows that indicate the row of the auxiliary matrix GDL. For example the stiffness matrix of element 3 must be placed in rows and columns numbers 1, 2,5 y 6 of the global matrix.I understand that once the correct routine is created I would have to use a FOR cycle to do it for each element. I create a part using the BOUNDARY BLEND command and then OFFSET it. I wish to SOLIDIFY it now, I mean the offset geometry. Creo 11 Student Version does not like it. I am not sure why? Is there a GLITCH in Version 11 for the solidify command for geometry using the Boundary Blend?

We’ve been trying to find a more efficient way of creating springs and adding measures to them, but so far haven’t had much success. We’ve standardized a lot of spring parameters—names, orientations, and measures—but every time we create a new spring, it still takes too long to set up both the spring and its associated measure. Example workflow: Start with an empty model and a point at (0,0,0). Create a spring to ground with stiffness properties in the global coordinate system: Z = 10 N/mm X = 0 N/mm Y = 0 N/mm Add a measure for this spring and name it Wheel_1_Z. We’ve tried to automate the process using mapkeys, but haven’t managed to make it work. Using Creo 10.0.2.0 Commercial license After I completed a model and associated drawing, we had a small issue. I oriented the model wrong.I based my sketch in the "Top" plane when I should have based it in the "Front" plane. That would make it line up better in the final assembly. I know it's not a big deal to rotate it in the assembly, but it would be "nice" to just have it fit correctly in the system without rotating. I figured out I could get the orientation I needed by right-clicking the sketch and selecting references. I then switched Top with Front, Right with Top, then Front with Right to get the actual orientation I needed. Great, the model itself was exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, as one might expect, this completely broke all of my annotated dimensions. I tried to reassign the planes for the annotations, but it didn't work. I then regenerated the original model and tried just switching Top and Front, leaving right alone.
