I am working with Creo 8. I would like to implement a dialog with tree view in it. The tree has 3 columns. I have spent few of hours trying to understand API to create and populate tree. But not able to figure how to do it. With C++ I wasn't even able to add node to tree. With C I could add node but not able to figure how to add column. I had to change to a new Computer because of updating to Windows 11. Content drive C: has been cloned. It is not possible to get the license again. Mathcad cannot be used. What can I do?

Whenever I stop working on creo for a period of time or the network pauses creo becomes unresponsive and shows as not responding - this happens quite often and the only way to fix it is to end the process in task manager and restart Creo.Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.

We have just installed Creo 11 in our office and have now found the it is stripping the Mapkey from the Config.pro files and placing them in the App data setting folder as a new Mapkey.pro.   This is a big problem for us....   We have multiple start up shortcut that point to different folder that has different Config.pro & search.pro files depending on the task we are working on, and each Mapkey in the config.pro points to a different file location to set the working directory.   I don't have a problem with the Mapkey being placed in a separate file, but I hope we have the option in the config file to point to a different location so we can mange the different options.   Peter

Hello PTC community,   Im contacting you regarding a reoccurring issue we've encountered with a license on a specific Host,   Since 25.08.2025 we installed Mathcad License(Prime 6 which is compatible with MathCAD 15) Locked version on our host.    The license activates the software and works as intended for couple of days, after that it's getting deactivated and has to be activated again (Activated 3 times already). We've followed the procedure as shown in PTC Knowledge Base and it has worked successfully on multiple other hosts. Only on this case we encountered this issue.   Kindly advise how to proceed & let us know if more information is needed.   Best regards

I have an old copy of Mathcad 15 and Prime3.0 installed on a Windows 10 computer which was purchased 2/8/2014 . I need Windows 11 licenses for both as I purchased a new computer.

Hi, I want to understand what ways you have employed to distribute Creo Parametric config and setup files at an enterprise level to end users. We use SCCM to distribute / deploy base Creo Parametric application, but to distribute config and setup files, we use windows batch script that gets invoked once a day at end users' machines.  The setup files are kept at few regional servers (as repositories) and the batch script copies (robocopy, syncdirs) these files into the end user's device. We have not opted for packaging Config and setup files through SCCM as these files are changed or new files are introduced frequently.  And the need is to get them distributed as immediately as possible. Our requirements: Config and Setup files are maintained at one network location (mother repository).These files should be replicated to Regional specific repositories.The files then should be pushed from each Regional Repositories to end users located in respectiv

I am using Mathcad Prime Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.0.0My company uses Python scripts to extract Mathcad Prime data to Excel spreadsheets. The Python code uses the MathcadPy library to extract data to the spreadsheets, but I am continually getting errors when running the code. I have also seen the error popup when running Mathcad Prime normally.We create a folder structure of Mathcad Prime files, using relative links to point to the folder/file at the next level up. We have a number of Mathcad sheets in the same folder and they all point to Mathcad files at the directory above , to make a make-shift library of electrical parts/parameters for our application.I will randomly see the error pop-up when accessing these files. Hi, I've recently generated some geometry in Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0 on Windows 11, but I can't export it to a different file type for use in a different program. I've tried STEP and Parasolid filetypes, but both export as empty files. What is happening?Here's a photo of the file sizes, something is clearly wrong. Any help is appreciated! I’m trying to create a pen table to automatically print in black and white through a distribute patch. I tried several materials but it doesn’t work, the copy comes out in black and white. Hello All, I have attached P10 sheet and an Excel sheet I am reading from. Many thanks to Werner and Stuart for helping me get this far. On page 12 of the Mathcad sheet, you’ll see the results of the axial forces and moments imported from the attached Excel file. On page 13, I’ve listed a couple of questions I need help with:1 How do I extract from the [TC axial Comp] forces of the panel forces (e.g. TC1, TC2, TC3, TC4, .... ) and place them into a vector labeled TC.Panel.Axial.Compr?2. How can I extract the [TC axial Comp] forces at panel points (TPP#), such as TPP3, TPP5, TPP7, TPP9, … and place them into a vector labeled TC.PP.Axial.Compr? Regards,Sam 

i have been a long time user of MathCad, strongly prefer the old, non prime versions.  Thinking of trying Prime once again, in case MathCAD 15 no longer can be made to work.  When to activate a newly downloaded, properly assigned locked licence, Prime does not seem to have an activated licence.  For example the watermark is there, the activate button is live, and not all functionality is available.  I'm not sure what to try next.  I've verified the MAC ID, downloaded new licence files a few times, tried on Windows 10 and windows 11 PC (of course properly assigning the MAC is in licence manager).  I also opened a ticket for support, that I have paid for for years and years and years, and have enjoyed no reply so far (about a week of waiting). Any tips?

Hello All, I have been manually inputting values from an Excel file into a table in Mathcad P10 sheet. I have attached both files. Is it possible to automate this process? I am interested in getting the values I highlighted in yellow in the excel sheet. Regards,Sam 

New to this Mathcad Prime here. Version 10.0.  I converted a sheet from Mathcad 15, In the converted sheet, every time I change the inputs I get question marks on the outputs and have to go back and manually type the uints over again. Is this a bug or can I solve this somehow. Thanks.

Hi All,Would someone be able to tell me how to delete a row or column from any table in drawing mode? I've been looking for about an hour and still can't find a way. Appreciate any help anyone can give. FYI, I am currently using Creo 2.0.

Hello there,i am using creo 9.0 and vs professional 2022I want to create a full asynchronous creo toolkit application on VS professional, but i dnt know how to start in a proper way. using some online materials i have managed to create  something ,1) any guide or start point to async creo application2) How to pass RPC commands and where to find it ?3) when i try to unlock using protk_unlock , i get toolkit for drawing license isnt available , but i dnt use any api regarding drawings ?4) how to generate a pfc file and use that to get all the data of the cad part from the session?sorry if all these are basic as i am new to it . i have learnt creo toolkit synchronous mode but not this

Hi,  you may find this question stupid..  i find out that in creo assembly, lets say i have 10 components ..  when i wanted to edit the mate (say distance mate) of the 5th component,  then the components 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 hides...    the problem here is when i edit the distance, i am not sure whether is it going to hit/interfere with any of components that was added after 5th ..  after coming out of edit definition .. i find that it is interfering , then i have to change again ..  the case is not just with editing mates, but changing mates / position and so on ..    is there a way to avoid hiding of rest of components...  or is it too much to ask from creo...      thanks in advance .. 

Over 2 decades ago, I had a need to document technical analyses.  After some research, I discovered Mathcad V3 (?).  It worked with Windows 3 (or 3.1).  I was ecstatic that Mathcad served my specific needs!  Over the years, there were somewhat regular updates.  As had been mentioned in other posts, Mathcad originally used the Maple Symbolic engine and then moved away from it.  That was not a problem as I purchased a Maple license to fill in the gap.The above arrangement worked for me until PTC no longer supported Mathcad 15.  It served my purposes for many years, so I decided to try Mathcad PRIME.  It was an early version and it would not serve my purposes.  However, I kept track of it and it became obvious that PTC was serious about developing PRIME's capabilities.  I have had the opportunity to work with PTC PRIME 10 (and soon, V11) at my workplace.  I am pleased with the capabilities and considered purchasing a personal license.

I have Mathcad 14, working fine till now. I was bound to reinstall the PC, but now I get error in licensing the mathcad 14. "Unexpected Error. The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden."I did not get any time limit when I bought Mathcad 14, so I should be able to continue using it. It is only for occassional private (academic) use.

Hello, I have attached the Excel and P10 sheet. I'd like to read data from the second tab of the Excel sheet. The P10 sheet can read from the first tab of the sheet, but not the second tab. I don't know why.  Also, I am interested in reading the values in several columns. Is it better to do one column at time, or there are other options? Hi there, is there a way to declare a template for process plan assemblies? When I try to create one, "use template" is grayed out:  The main problem is, that there are no pre-defined orientations, which makes it unnecessary inconvenient to create drawing from that later.  I am using Creo 10.0.7.0
