Does anybody know if STP file can have material of the original parts info stored?
Software used: Mathcad Prime 10There are 2 Matrices defined as below: I want to create a function with these 2 matrices as input, to compare the values of 1 matrix to the other. How can i do this?I tried doing it like below, But it seems that a function depending on another variable (pnumber or row in this case) cannot be given as an input to another function.IsParamMatch(RBoM_fixed_params_list(pnumber),RParameter_fixed_params_list(row))
See the attached screenshot. I've reinstalled CREO view several times, checked the checksum, I really dont know what to do here. It's incredibly unreadable. Is there somewhere i can try an older version of CREO view?
I want to move my Mathcad Prime 3.0 license from one machine to another. I have the Service Contract Number (SCN), but not the product code required to proceed. Can I retrieve the product code from the SCN?
I'm trying to export a drawing as a vector based PDF for suppliers to create files from. I have looked through all the export settings I can find:File>Save As>Type:PDF>Options>General/ContentFile>Save As>Export>PDF>Settings>General/ContentFile>Print>Settings>Print>Microsoft Print to PDF>Properties>AdvancedFile>Options>Configuration Editor>{literally anything to do with pdfs, vectors and rasters]ChatGPT suggested a number of options that don't appear in Creo 9.0 such as changing the 'Output Mode' to Vector, changing 'Raster Quality' and setting the PDF export method to 'PDF (2D vector)'. I feel like I've exhausted all the options I can find apart from maybe the strokes and pentable options but I think they'll still save as a raster without some other option checked. Does anyone have any guidance?
Hello, So right now I am designing a model with multiple assemblies and each having their own constraints and connections. I want to ask if it is possible to assemble all of them to one final model? if yes will all connections and constraints of each assembly remain?
Hello,we are migrating from Creo9 to Creo10 but I have an issue with the embedded browser only when I open Windchill. When opening Windchill both Workspace and Commonspace, the browser resolution is very very small and vey difficult to read. I've changed the DPI from the parametric.exe configuration but I either have this very small browser line or very blurred icons of the Creo software. For information I have no issue with the Creo9 we have used so far, same config, same DPI configuration, different outcome. Do you have any other suggestion about how to solve this issue? Thank you!BR,Giandonato
I am using Pro/ENGINEER and Creo Elements/Pro Release Wildfire 3.0 and DatecodeM070Hello. I have a customer who are using ProE Wildfire 3 + Pro Concept. He recently changed his computer and needed a new license archive due to HOST ID Change. The license has been updated correclty for ProE Wildfire 3 and the soft is now working, but, se has a troubleshooting with his soft Concept. Could you help us to determinte possible causes which are provoking the message attached below? Here are the errors that I facedptc_setvars.bat
Electrical engneering uses RMS(Root Mean Square) values for the signal wave forms. Using the magnitude of the waveforms to be 1, rectangilar , sine and triangle waveforms show the RMS values 1/sqrt(1), 1/sqrt(2) and s1/qrt(3), respectively. So, find the 1/sqrt(4) and 1/sqrt(5) RMS waveforms with magnitudes = 1. Also find the average values of each wavefrom. Advanced problem.Make the f(x,n). It provides the above answers.
I've consistently had this problem in Creo with curve patterns. You can see in the pictures that I have several sketches (3, 4, and 5) made to represent the horizontal curve of my bolting perimeter (shown by the rectangle). I'm doing this to control the bolt perimeter's major dimensions (length and width) but have the bolt hole pattern equally spaced along each side. I don't care about the hole center to center, I only care that they're equally spaced. The intuitive approach is to make a sketch with a projection of one of the rectangle sides as I've done with sketch 3. I then use a curve pattern to generate the instances, but to my dismay the start point is at the opposite end to where I made the original hole and there doesn't seem to be a way to change the start point. The inability to change the start point is very surprising considering most other features (sweep, datum point along curve) have the option to change start points. I've seen a solution previously to unlink th
I'm writing a journal article and importing lots of MathCAD equations into Word (. There's three ways to show a MathCAD equation, colon, control-equals or equals. Only the equals key gives me a publishable equals sign (colon gives a colon-equals, shift-colon a bold equals)., but I can't use the equals key to show variables on both sides without one of the variables turning red ("This variable is undefined"), or if defined, other problems. Any ideas? ...Larry
I am unable to install Mathcad Prime 11 on my Windows 11 PC. When I attempt the install, I get the following error message even though I already have .NET Framework 4.8.9 installed (apparently it is now part of Windows 11 and cannot be uninstalled): Anyone have a fix/workaround for this?
While clicking around to see what different options did, I selected Single part surface and chose a surface in my General View, applied it, and thought "oh, this is hot garbage."Have we found a way to get out of this, or reverse it once you've chosen it? I can technically get my view back "looking" normal by choosing a surface that's not part of the part used to generate the general view, but the options are stuck like this as well as the View Display options are mostly grayed out. So my question is there some magical hotkey command to fix this or is there a way to reset a General View back to it's default options? Creo 9.0.6.0
Hi, I am trying to make a calculation sheet however i have unit problems since mathcad doesn't seem to work correctly. First is calculating parallel resistance gives a weird result but can manually be corrected. For example RPV should come as ohms then further down Ilimh*RPV should clearly come as volts.....
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.7.0Is it possible to view the contents of the buffer populated by ProMacroLoad()? Is it possible to clear the contents of this buffer to prevent execution?
I'm having an issue with Sweep in a channel. I'm not sure why it doesn't cut as much on sides following walls. You can easily guess what the intent was. I'm not sure what went wrong with my idea of how to cut the shape actually. Also, it doesn't generate some rounds around as planned. EDIT: it sems like the cut sketch follows YZ plane in normal instead being normal to the intersect. I'm not sure how to force it to follow the intersection's normal.
Hi All, I have a part created in very old version of creo. The axis "AXS_HOLE_A" in it is built up using reference of two planes DTM33 & DTM34. See attached screenshot. I want to edit location of those two planes. However I am not able to find those two planes in the new latest version of creo. Can anyone please assist how to locate those two planes? Thank you very much in advance!
I am currently working on a project and encountering few challenges.I am confident that your expertise can provide valuable guidance to help resolve these issues. Project DescriptionI am developing hook-type clamps designed to securely hold the red tube. Both clamps lock via hooks and are bolted at the leg end to exert clamping force. Optimal design criteria for the clamps include following: (Length A) gap must be maintained after Assembly to ensure continuous clamping force on the red tube.(Length B) Must be at least equal to or greater than the tube size for proper fitting.(Length C) This length must exceed the clamp thickness to allow the bottom clamp to fit securely inside the top clamp.(Length A, B and C)-Refer Image The clamps are governed by geometric tolerances, with a profile of surface tolerance of 1mm along the inner surface. I have attempted to optimize the design manually using a trial-and-error method, creating different models under extreme conditions
Hi all, I am working on a data retrieval/CAD automation project, and currently I am using a combination of python with Creoson to extract bom data from Creo. Unfortunately, my company's CAD data is crawling with ghost parts which end up getting included in the output data and I haven't been able to come up with a good solution for filtering them out. I am able to find them manually via the find command as shown:The problem with this is that I have to manually go in and pick the parts using the feature info command or hover my mouse over to get the comp id and manually build a list that I can then use to filter the bom output. I would prefer if there were: A method to include the criteria I'm using in the find command to filter the output from Creoson's bom_get_paths function.A method to export the results of the find command with the comp id to an external file that I could read back into my python script to filter by.Or should I be working on cleaning out these gho
Hello, I am currently using the base EMX extension and I noticed the extension utilizes injection molding. I wanted to know if the EMX extension is capable of creating plates/molds for pulp molding? Thank you.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.9.0We are working on an integration between Creo and a nest engine for our Fabrication area. Questions:Can Creo export information like Bend center line, angle of a bend and radius? Can it do it through the PRT file output as a property or variable? If not, how can it be made possible? We need this information for the nest engine to be able to create a bending program when it receives a flat from Creo. Creo would handle the unfolding process of the 3D model.
Hello, My company is trying to create drawings that are easier for our assembly line to understand. This means creating a drawing more like a step by step instructions. This means breaking up the complicated assembly into separate stages and we are doing this by creating simplified reps for each stage of assembly. However, we need an easy way to assign BOM balloons to each of the simplified rep views. Currently we assign a separate BOM table to each view and fix the index numbers to the same index number in the master rep BOM. This is very time consuming and there is a risk of mistakes. I had two ideas as a solution, but I cannot get either to work. Idea 1: Create BOM table with multiple &rpt.qty columns with each column assigned to a different stage. This works well because it shows all of the stages and the quantity of pieces at each, however, we cannot attach BOM balloons to any views because of the following error: "BOM Ba
When i have trying to install the Client of PTC Creo on user system the licence is not getting from server it shows unreachable contionusly when running the reconfigure. Last 2yr we are using Creo on this system. Suddenly it shows error. I have tried below solutions. Checked using servername and ipv for installation. Ping server is successfully in Client system. Added firewall rules in server. (7788 and ptc_d) added value in xml file port for 7789 in flexnet>> conf. (Added in rules also this port) DNS server checked and added again. User profile is deleted and added once in system. In CMD checked server is ping or not, its ping perfectly. Still this issue is not resolving what can i do for that ?
Is there a faster way to toggle part or component transparency in assemblies than: Click to select, then from the ribbon menu: Model Display>Component Display Style>Transparent? As often as parts need to be toggled from opaque to transparent during the assembly modelling process, what I need is 'Transparent on/off' from the right-click cursor menu. Or even better, a hover-over cursor toolbar or menu with a transparent toggle.
MathCAD seems to recognise milli-, kilo- and mega- versions of certain units (eg mW, kW, MW, mm, km) but not others (eg kJ, MJ, kmol). I find that I am almost always having to start a worksheet by defining kJ or kmol ... which is a real nuisance and seems unneccesary. So:- what is the rationale behind the units that have kilo-, milli- or mega- versions?- is there a way of ensuring that these combos are defined for every worksheet (the new Prime 11 units change is no help here)?
