I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.1.0Guidance on the workflow to Create a protrusion that stays normal to a complex internal surface.
I'm trying to simplify a model and I'm not sure how far to go or how much it is worth my time. I'd like to know if there is a way to analyze how my simplification of a part or assembly affects the graphical performance. For example if I take out the inner surface of all the tubes is that better than simply focusing on removing the holes. If there was a way to create an analysis that tells me you model has ___ number of faces that might go a long way with knowing how my different simplification methods are improving model performance. That or if there was a way to do an analysis that say your model is using ___ GPU memory.Does anyone from the community know how to do such an analysis?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.5.0We are unable to open either the VW AG add-on or the Audi add-on (version: 15000100). The standard Creo version (version 11.05.0) is functioning correctly. The two supplier add-ons cannot be started. The Creo version was successfully checked and approved during the add-on installation. This is a Java error. A higher and compatible Java version (Amazon Coretto) is installed. Here are the errors that I faced"Wrong Java Runtime Environment! The defined command "C:Volkswagen\Volkswagen\VWAG_CreoParametric_15000100\app\vw_tools\vw_tools\1.6.2.0\java\x86e_win64\jdk\bin\java.exe" shows version denied.Required ist Java Platform Standard Edition 17 x64 version 17.0.15 or higher. OpenJDK Amazon Corretto 17 x 64 can be used as well."
In Creo Mechanism (MDO) motion simulation,I would like to use different spring constants for the loading and unloading (return) directions, in order to represent spring hysteresis. Is there any way to simulate this behavior in MDO?If not directly supported, what is the recommended workaround?
Hola -Longtime Creo/WF/ProE user (2000i2). Having an issue with fit tolerances using the tables. I've configured both the part and drawing to use the tables. Problem example:I have a 20mm shaft for a bearing; recommended shaft fit is h6. For a 20mm dia, h6 is:+0-13. In inches, that is + 0, -0.0005". So the drawing should show 0.7874/0.7869 if I show limits. I set the diameter to nominal, 0.7874. I apply an h6 tolerance. If is specify plus/minus, the dimension appears at 0.7874 + 0.0000 / -0.0005 (perfect!)If I show 'limits', it changes to the nominal 0.7871 and then applies the -.0005 to that, so 0.7866. This is wrong. What am I doing wrong? TIA
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.9.0With CREO 4.0 we developed a script for sustitution of failed components in assembly. With CREO 9.0 this script returns the following message in std.out:"Attempted use of deprecated config option 'regen_failure_handling' was blocked." even if in config.pro the option regen_failure_handling no_resolve_mode doesn't returns error in the configuration interface. In document CS260154 I've read that an authorization code is needed to make the VBA script working. For the future we are working on a different solution, but at present we are in need of help. Can you help us?Thank you. Here are the errors that I facedAttempted use of deprecated config option 'regen_failure_handling' was blocked
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.5.0问题:我在1月15日有尝试过渲染功能,发现是可以使用的,然后今天再次想用渲染功能的时候发现又用不了了
Hi Community, 🙂I am new in this forum.I have medium experience in Creo Parametric (version 8 ) and have made a lot of 3D and 2D drawings.I will soon get version 12. The reason I am writing in here is that I have just begun my path into advanced surface modelling and that is a steep learning curve. I have attached a render picture of what I am trying to create (made by a friend in Rhino), pictures of my sketches I have made, and pictures of my best result with and without surface analysis. What I am trying to do is to make a surface between the different sketches but no matter what I do, it is either failing, or the surface quality is bad using analysis. I have used several techniques, and I have also tried to use the Style feature. What I Hope is that you can help to me learn how to do this geometry with a good quality surface. I know I am missing some features, steps or adjustments in order to do this right, but at the moment I have hit a wall with my experie
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.4.0In reference to Article - CS126394, I don't understand the provided workflow.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.5.0组装图里插入零件后没有拖动箭头?第一次进去没有拖动箭头,二次进去才有重启后第一次就有拖动箭头,然后不知道因为啥,用着用着第一次就没了,然后就得像上面说的,二次进去才有姓名:邓工邮箱:442787729@qq.com
I'm trying to get the piping weld numbers that can be created in the piping module, and that can be seen as annotations in Creo to also be exported to the pvz file format. That way I can see them in Creo Viewer. I've ensured that the annotations can be seen in the Viewer and have also added normal annotation Notes so as to verify that annotations are exported. They are and can be seen, but not those related to the weld. Any ideas on why and suggested way of fixing this? Thanks,Erik
Hi, can you give me suppliers details who can create GPOST for Lathe, Mill, HMC & 5Axis machine.machine having Fanuc & Mitsubishi controller. we are about to start using CREO NC at our manufacturing shop in India for this we required this.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.5.0We have an assembly where certain sub-components might be shown or hidden (suppressed) by ProProgram, based on parameters, for different design cases. Based on that assembly we have created a simplified representation which shows only a subset of the resumed components from the original design (driven by rules). From that simplified representation we need to merge all the visible geometry into one single part and for doing that we have created a shrinkwrap and enable the option to automatically update its geometry based on the original design. While the simplified representation works properly for different design cases, the shrinkwrap does not update its geometry automatically upon regeneration. The only case when it does is when the design takes the "state" in which the shrinkwrap was created, but other cases don't. We have tried searching for some options in the config.pro that might enable such automated update, but couldn
Hi community, Our questions Creo MBD modules and create to links. I can add links. But how can I ensure that when I click the link, the CAD document opens in a new window?
Is there any way to copy text from one table A to another table B. What ever I input in Table A should populate exactly in Table B. (This is to avoid redundancy & mistakes)SEE Image attached
Reference topic: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Analysis/Flow-Analysis-Post-Processing/m-p/871276#M11296 Hello @MB_10584523 ! Thanks for this post ... I have the same question or the same request. It would be great if PTC would enable calculation of average and mass averaged report for velocity (so, similar as for total pressure). This option should be available either through XYPlot either/and through interface output property. @tmoser : good advice until implementation of my proposal into Creo. 😀 Have a good day
Hello, I would like ot know if there is any posibility to measure COM of subassemblies. According to direct method there si no way to propagatemeasure to higher level assembly. Most of our frames has simple design with 1 rotation axis and one hydraulic cylinder and we need to confirm if analytical solution is confirmed by FEM model. So key parameter is COM of subassembly. In top level assembly there is a way how to measure COM of whole assembly but it is not enough to calculate reactions in joints.
Hello. I am simulating one beam model which rotates around an axis.・A clock spring is set on the rotation axis.・In MDO, beam model start to rotates upward once it start running I would like to explore Minimum Spring Constant K (Nmm/deg) that allows the beam model to rotate more than 40 degrees.(no need to change Beam model dimension) In this case, is it possible to obtain a solution for the spring constant K with BMX?Or any other solution in Creo? I try setting Spring constant K as BMX Goal by using relation. But it was not explored This problem will be solved by hand calculations. However If a solution exists for this simple problem, I will apply the method to more complex problems . (to simulate Car Seat Tumble Motion) Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Help to see what I am missing. I want to find the first component in the assembly and delete it.I can find the first component, but having trouble deleting. Here is my run methodpublic void run() throws jxthrowable, IOException { Session session = pfcSession.GetCurrentSession(); Model model = session.GetActiveModel(); if (model == null) { return; } if (model.GetType() == ModelType.MDL_ASSEMBLY) { Assembly assembly = (Assembly) model; Features components = assembly.ListFeaturesByType(false, FeatureType.FEATTYPE_COMPONENT); if (components.getarraysize() > 0) { try { // --- Find the first component in the model tree ComponentFeat targetComponent = null; // Get all features in order. Features allFeatures = assembly.ListFeaturesByType(false, null); // Find the first component feature in the feature tree for (int i = 0; i < allFeatures.getarraysize(); i++) { Feature feat = allFeatures.get(i); if (feat instanceof ComponentFeat) { targetComponent = (Component
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.8.0When I am transition my old IDF board to an IDX file, it is giving me an error with my ECAD areas. When I try to edit the sketch of my ECAD area and hit "OK", it gives me the error "Cannot have more than one outer loop". I have several circular areas within my sketch that all should be route keep outs.Is it telling me that I have to make individual features for each of my many zones? That would be a very inconvenient way to model several of the same type of zone. Each zone is slightly different and can't be created using patterns. Is there a workaround to this? Here are the errors that I faced"Cannot have more than one outer loop"
How to keep the symbols also consistent with other Pen_width? SEE IMAGE Please. Thanks in advance with your solution. It looks so odd on a print. There always something crazy challenge in Creo!
hi,i'm using Creo parametric 12.4.2.0 and it seems that with My Filter enabled for selection it doesn't switch automatically to Cabling Items when using Cabling module.is there something to change about that?thanks
I also have this issue. Reference topic: Parameter PTC_COMPONENT_SETS has invalid set na... - PTC Community When I use the "insert here" trick to see when the message appears by dragging this "insert here" lower in the feature tree I managed to find out which model is giving this error. I've tried a lot but also completely remove the model and constraining it again the error appears again. This model is an assembly and within the assembly the PTC_COMPONENT_SETS message isn't shown. @dcokin wrote: The trick is that to find and control these values, you need to look at component level parameters. From the parameter dialog, change the "look in" menu to "Component", click the arrow, and then click the desired component from your model tree. It'll have a string parameter called "PTC_CONSTRAINT_SET", which lists the active sets separated by commas. (In rare cases, you may need more than one active at a time.) Inconvenient thing about
The customer plans to upgrade to Creo 10.0 in the future; however, all drawing work is currently being performed based on Creo 3.0.Accordingly, I am modifying drawing formats (.frm, .drw) in a Creo Parametric 3.0 (M190) environment. In the drawing tables, parameter values are linked to table cells. When the parameter values become long in the drawing, automatic text wrapping (Wrap Text) is applied to improve readability. However, when Wrap Text is enabled, the full parameter value is not preserved. Only the last line after wrapping is displayed, and the parameter is not recognized correctly.According to PTC article CS230831, this issue was resolved in Creo Parametric 2.0 M220.I would like to ask whether there is any configuration change or workaround available to resolve this issue in the Creo Parametric 3.0 environment.
Thanks for any hints for solving this efficiency issue.
