Goodmorning everyone, do I have to import a step created by a single assembly as a single part? How can I do? If I decide to open it as a "part" the file does not open correctly (missing parts and geometries).Thank you, Matteo.
I have derived a drawing from a Multibody skeleton in Creo Parametric. Now I want to display only one body. This works, but then I have the problem that the view frame is still very large even though I only see one part, and I want to adjust this. How can the drawing frame be reduced?
Creo 10 Pro/Toolkit developement. How to route multiple cables through a network? I tried following code to route all cables through the network point. But all cables are concentrating in one point as the attached picture shown. It is not what I want. for (int j = 0; j < cablenum; j++){err2 = ProCablelocationrefAlloc(PRO_LOC_POINT, sel_array_route, PRO_B_TRUE, NULL, &cablelocationref);err3 = ProCableThruLocationRoute(cable_route_data_arr[j], cablelocationref, &p_location, &second_location);err = ProCablelocationrefFree(cablelocationref);} How to route the cable through the point like the right pic shown? I will be appreciated.
Hi all,I have created Sheetmetal tutorials for you. In this tutorials you can learn quickly and easily - How to use Sheetmetal features.Note: if you need to learn something more about Creo features - leave a commnet here Thanks.I will try to prepare some other and new examples for Basic and Advanced Creo modeling.Best Regards,Vladimir PalffyList of Sheetmetal tutorials:How to create Extrude featureHow to create Revolve featureHow to create Flat Wall featureHow to define custom Edge Treatment with Flat featureHow to create Flange Wall feature How to use Bend feature How to create CutsHow to create and use Rip, Corner Relief and Conversion featuresHow to use Extend featureHow to use Join feature How to create Blend feature - Rectangle to Circle How to Convert imported geometry to Flat State
Cone shape. 2" on one side 5" on the other, and about 24" apart. Helical cut with a pitch of 24. Surface or sheetmetal doesnt matter to me. The questions is can I flatten it?
I find I need to change the width of the model tree from time to time. After changing the width, Creo 's behavior is to regenerate the model and can take some time when I have a large model. It seem as though this is not necessary. Can this behavior be turned off?
Hello friend,I am facing an issue during study check in Creo Ansys simulation. I see this is because of elastoplastic material selected. later on, when I select linear Material, this is working fine, means no error showing. I am selecting elastoplastic (nonlinear material) because my part is of plastic Material. Now, my question is Does this Creo Ansys simulation support nonlinear material? If yes, please help me how to resolve this issue.
This topic is related to this one but the moderator advised me to open a new topic so here it is. I know there are several examples (like the one in the linked topic above) and had one working in the past but we updated to Creo 11 and now this "open drawing with the name of the open part or asm" mapkey doesn't work anymore and can't get it to work. I'm aware of the case that the mapkeys are not embedded anymore in the config.pro. I have some mapkeys that are working or are working again so how the new mapkeys work I know.. So who has a working mapkey or can help me with this?
I am trying to set up a CFD analysis where a fan is blowing air through a radiator. I don't know the exact geometry of either the fan or the radiator but I know the general size and I have charts to tell me how much pressure drop to expect on the radiator and pressure gain from the fan. Can anyone help to tell me how to set that up in Live Simulation? See the attached picture as a reference. I have tried to enter a positive pressure on the outlet side of the fan and then measuring (with a probe) the pressure on the surface of the radiator in front of it. Then I take that measured pressure value on the incoming side of the radiator and enter it as inlet pressure. Since in know the pressure drop from the chart, I enter a lesser value on the outlet side mimicking a pressure drop. Am I on the right track or is there a better way to set that up?Thanks!Creo 12
I'm putting a captive screw with compression spring in one of my assemblies. The coil spring doesn't have any 'cylindrical' features or surfaces. I made a central axis, but when I try to constrain the Spring Axis to the bolt cylinder surface, it places the axis coincident/tangent to the surface, not concentric. I always have the option to constrain Front & Right planes, but I would like to figure out how to get concentric mates with an axis.
Hello all, since there is no direct way of creating negative volume of a part (at least as far as I know-being relative rookie) I wonder if there is any, still relatively quick, way of doing that in Creo 10. With that I have in mind Ansys Space Claim 3D modeller where it is possible to close the model with planes and create volume inside of complex geometry and these defined planes. I would want a volume of water that fills inside of a turbine rotor. Thank you for your comments, suggestions...Best regards!
I referred to some answers.manually created 3D annotation place flat to screen using Creo's note function;CS153536 - Leader line is not showing for flat to screen annotation feature in Creo ParametricNew to Creo need help with text - PTC Communitythe annotation is placed flush with the screen in the model viewer and its position rotates around the model. How can I achieve the same effect generically via the Toolkit API?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.0.0在一个零件中,如何将一条曲线的局部线段进行复制,并使生成一个复制曲线的端点与两个坐标点重合
According to the PTC documentation, this is supported. I am not able to get this to work in Creo 7, 9 , or 10. Is anyone able to confirm that loading a light file works for them? It is possible my light files are corrupted in some way, if someone has a sample light file they can post here, I will try it. I have included one of my .lgh files for reference.
Hello eveyone, I am currently using the Creo Parametric Educational version 12.4.0.0, more specifically the "Generative Design" tool but without the Generative Design Extension (GDX). What element type or meshing is used by the software/tool? The answer would help me to compare my optimized model design with results from an external FEM software.
Hello, I try to output my fixture offsets with a fil macro given by KenFarley on an other topic but when i try : CIMFIL/ON,SET,OFSETLOFSTYP=POSTF(6,5)OFSREG=POSTF(7,5)IF(OFSTYP.EQ.1)THENIF(OFSREG.GE.54.AND.OFSREG.LE.59)THEN$$CURREG=OFSREGOFSCMD = TEXT/'G90 G',CONVI,OFSREG,2,';'INSERT/ OFSCMDENDIFENDIFCIMFIL/OFF On my machine file i have : ...N0054 ( / SEQUENCE TYPE : PROFILE MILLING);N0056G90G55;N0058 G0 Y5.232;... No spaces before G90 and between G90 and G55.What is the command for output spaces ? Thanks in advance.
We are currently running Creo 12.4.1.0 and we are seeing some odd behavior that I am trying to resolve. When performing certain (seeming unrelated) actions like opening the File-options window or adding a new view in a drawing there is a 10-15 second delay where Creo freezes before performing the requested task. The issue is consistent in that it occurs on the same handful of tasks but oddly not every time we perform them. We saw this same behavior in Creo 4.0 before our upgrade which leads me to believe it is caused by an external factor. My current theory is that our antivirus software (Checkpoint) is checking or scanning some Creo related file or service causing the delay. Has anyone else seen this type of behavior and if so how did you resolve it? If it is the antivirus software, is there a recommended file or service whitelist?
What is the best way to route cabling? P clips assembly first and then route thru them or any other ideas? Please suggest. See image
Hi, I need to split a ncl file by machining duration to calibrate the tool before resuming the path. Thanks,Federico
Hello All, We have a Haas VF-2 with a Haas HRT210 rotary. I'm machining a block on 4 sides (AO, A90, A180, A270). Working off centerline of the rotary. The problem is that the posed gcode creates A0 and A180 in the correct orientation but A90 and A270 are flipped. In the attached picture specifically (WCS.jpg) depicts how I have the coordinates set up A0 being the top of the part (the face with the cbores). A270 being the flat face in picture WCS_A270.jpg. Has anyone ran into this problem? Can this be fixed in the post processor application within creo? Thanks,Jostan
Hello. We got a Tormach 1100mx at our work and we use CREO 7.0 for our CAD/CAM. Unfortunately, I could not find a post processor for the Pathpilot on PTC's website. I am wondering if there is a post processor somewhere out there, or do I have to make my own Post processor. Thanks!
How can I define the length of a flange like this in Creo? Offsetting its distance like this in SE
Creo10 Pro/Toolkit Cabling development issue.I am trying to route wires through a point location starting from a connector side. I created the ProRouting data for each wire. And use following code to route all of them through a point location one by one.for (int j = 0; j < cablenum; j++){...err2 = ProCablelocationrefAlloc(PRO_LOC_POINT, sel_array_route, PRO_B_TRUE, offset, &cablelocationref);err3 = ProCableThruLocationRoute(cable_route_data_arr[j], cablelocationref, &tpm_loc, &second_location);...}But the CAD shows all wires are interfered and concentrating in the point as the left pic shown. What I want is including all the wires in the point with the blue points like the right pic shown. Is there anybody know how to achieve this by the Pro/Toolkit code? Million thanks to this.
