Our new Creo Community Challenge focuses on two powerful tools that are already included with your base Creo installation: the Advanced Framework Extension (AFX) and the Intelligent Fastener Extension (IFX). What the Challenge Is AboutAFX (Advanced Framework Extension) helps you quickly design structural frameworks using standard steel and aluminum profiles. It simplifies the creation of frames, supports, and welded assemblies, and makes it easy to modify your design as it develops. IFX (Intelligent Fastener Extension) lets you insert industry-standard fasteners such as bolts, nuts, washers, and screws, with automatic hole creation and intelligent placement. It ensures that your fasteners fit correctly and that your assemblies look realistic and complete. The challenge is to combine AFX and IFX to design something practical, creative, or just plain fun. The goal is to show how these two extensions can work together to build realistic structural assemblies with automated intelligence. C

I would like to set Measured MAX and MIN Value in MDO within a certain range for BMX Constraint.Model Motion is Rotating 0~90 degree range and MAX and MIN value in whole degree range can be selected in BMX without settingBut are there any way to set MAX and MIN value in a certain degree range (i.e. 30~60deg)? (attached file is simple model for this question. so, I hope solution wihtout modifying MDO setting)
I have been using CREO MDO for some time to evaluate forces, crank torques etc. It works very well. But what's the best way to dynamic balance a complex mechanism such as a internal combustion engine in MDO?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.6.0 I currently need to work from home, so I am using the Home Edition license of PROE_DesignEssH in my home office environment. I need to open *.drw files created by my colleagues using PROE_DesignEss (155) (which includes the Creo Language Option License—CHINESE (formerly Pro/ENGINEER)), but the Chinese characters in these files appear as squares (unreadable). How can I resolve this issue, since I need to continue working from home? Thank you. Here are the errors that I faced The characters are displayed as squares (unrecognizable)
Hi everyone,I am facing an issue in my Creo Toolkit application and would appreciate any suggestions.WorkflowI launch my Toolkit application. A UI dialog is displayed where the user enters the required drawing parameters. When the user clicks the Apply button, the drawing is loaded using ProMdlFiletypeLoad(). I then apply a drawing setup (.dtl) file using ProInputFileRead(). The model parameters are updated. The model and drawing are regenerated.ProblemWhen the drawing is first loaded, it appears correctly with the expected formatting and DTL settings. However, as soon as the parameter update/regeneration begins, the drawing temporarily becomes scattered. Dimensions, tables, notes, and other annotations move from their correct locations, almost as if the drawing is momentarily using a different unit system (for example, inches instead of millimeters).I would like to prevent the user from seeing this intermediate scattered state. My questionsIs this expected behavior when loading a drawin

When I export a PDF, the phantom and hidden lines appear to be the same, but in the Creo drawing, it’s clearly different. The only way I found that will reflect the phantom line geometry is what I did with the line highlighted in yellow. I described how I did it below.Does anyone know how to fix this? I want to use the component display to make the lines phantomopque, and have it reflected when I export a PDF. I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.9.0 part mass appears incorrect. Please see screen shots with this case. I would like to know why we have 2 density values. I would like to know why "assign material" is greyed out. Here are the errors that I faced no error messages. Incorrect mass
Whether it is able to do Cleanup Dimensions for the entire drawing sheet in Creo 10 via J-Link?
I’m testing out a multibody part design workflow.Everything seems to work well except for the link to the source model. If the source model is moved or renamed, the child models regenerate but I can’t find a way to reestablish the link. Any suggestions? My workflow.Create multibody part. Import the multibody part into a new (empty part) using inheritance. This brings in solid bodies and datums. Do “keep bodies” to keep just the single body that is necessary. Repeat for other bodies. Close parent and child parts, erase from session. Rename or move parent part. Open one of the child parts and try to re-link.
I’m trying to run a validation case in Creo 12 Flow Analysis based on the first example in the link below, but I can’t seem to reproduce the same results shown in the example:https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r11.0/usascii/index.html#page/simulate/cfd/TurbulentFlow.html#The pipe is designed with an inner radius of 2 mm and a length of 2000 mm.In Flow Analysis, I define the inlet (IN) with a velocity of V = 50 m/s, and the outlet (OUT) as a specified pressure outlet of 0 Pa.The air density is set to 1.225 kg/m3 and the dynamic viscosity to 1.7894e-5 Pa·s.To display the mass-averaged total pressure difference directly as a graph, I use the following expression:plot.MassAvgTotP_Loss = flow.mpt@IN - flow.mpt@OUT#plot.MassAvgTotP_Loss: Mass Avg Tot P Loss IN-OUT [Pa]However, my results are significantly different from the values stated in the example. I get approximately 21,970 Pa difference between the inlet and outlet, while the example shows a pressure drop of 0.73 Pa.What am I
Hey there! I have been using Creo 11 for the longest time and have always been able to get 2D Drawings into a PDF file easily via Export function. Two months ago I upgraded to Creo 12 and created a big assembly. When I tried to export the 2D Drawings I had created, I found that the export to PDF does not work for whatever reason (tried via “Menu - Save As - Export” & “Quick Export”, as well as “Save as” and select PDF in the popup window). The weird part is, that it opens the dialogue window where I can select a location to save the file and I can enter a name, but when I click Save, it does not create any file. Also there is no Message or warning displayed anywhere which could lead me to the cause… Just in case: I know that I can use Print to PDF, but unfortuneately the plot quality is way worse and for this assembly specifically I need an A2 format which is not supported by print to PDF. I have also tried all AI Assistants but none of their tricks worked. I have done many workaro
I'm hoping someone has come across this before because I'm running out of ideas. My setupMacBook Pro M4 Parallels Desktop Windows 11 Creo Parametric Education Edition 11.0.5.0Issue 1 – Hidden Line Views in DrawingsWhen I create a drawing, all views display correctly in No Hidden or Shaded mode. However, as soon as I change any drawing view to Hidden Line, the hidden lines are completely incorrect. Instead of showing normal hidden geometry, they all radiate from a single point, producing a starburst effect. This happens with:Top view Front view Side view Projected views General viewsSo it doesn't seem to be related to a particular drawing view or orientation.I've attached screenshots comparing my result with the expected result from the course lecturer.Issue 2 – Facet / Triangle LinesAfter creating the first feature (hole, round, chamfer, etc.), the model starts displaying triangular/facet lines across the model. The geometry is correct and the model regenerates successfully, but the displa
After recently upgradeing to Creo11 from Creo7, we came across a strnage conflict where our mapkey $F2 works in drawing mode but not in Modeling mode...sometimes. As it turns out, if the layer tree is open in the model, the $F2 mapkey will not work but if it is collapsed or closed it will work. Drawing mode is unaffected by the display of the layer tree. I understnad that everywhere in Windows and many windows programs that $F2 is for rename. I am not sure though why Creo does not unbind this, even after the Creo dialog pops up asking the user if they want to use the key for a mapkey or for a Creo Shortcut. Even after choosing mapkey, it still is depending on if the model layer tree is open, and if you click on a layer and press F2 it will rename that layer. I opened Creo7 and verified that it did not work this way in Creo4, regardless of layer tree display status. For a moment I thought it would be a workaround to add a collapse layer tree to the mapkey before running but of course

Hi everyone,I am setting up a Random Vibration analysis in Creo Simulate and I am running into an issue regarding Measures. It appears that none of the measures I create are available for selection or evaluation within this specific analysis type.Specifically, I need to output the following two quantities: Failure Index: I need to track the failure index across the random vibration analysis, but it does not appear as an option. Stresses in a custom coordinate system: some standard stress components are available, but they are strictly tied to the global coordinate system. I need to evaluate direct stresses relative to a user-defined, local coordinate system. Is there a specific workflow or workaround required to enable custom measures, or to evaluate failure indices and localized stresses, for a random vbration analysis?Any insights or step-by-step guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Hello everyone, I have 2 parameters, and i want that when those parameters are in certain value the system pop up a message that say something like “parameter 1 is… and 2 is … “. Like for example: i have a material and a treatment. Not every treatment can be execute on every material. Fe i choose a quench on titanium. The thermal treatment is not possible or available on such material. A message should appear with “you choose this and this, please check”. FE when i am check in the part. So i want to do an initial confrontation of the 2 parameter. FE the material and the treatment. And where i will do this? I don’t want a real relation. But only a check. I read about the model check. How can i use it for this purpose? I hope i explain it clearly. Thank you
I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.7.0 geometric tolerance jumps off of the witness line when I try to move it. When I create a new geometric tolerance it will not allow placement on tangent to horizontal.
I am facing an issue in Creo Simulate 9.0 while performing a Random Response Analysis on a large assembly. The modal analysis runs successfully up to 2000 Hz and extracts approximately 250 mode shapes from a mesh containing around 280,000 elements. However, when I proceed with the Random Response Analysis using these modal results, the solver fails with the status "Run Failed". No specific error messages are reported in the log files, making it difficult to identify the root cause. The analysis is being run on a high-end workstation with 256 GB RAM and ample local disk storage, so system resources do not appear to be a limitation. What is interesting is that the Random Response Analysis completes successfully when limited to only a few modes (for example, the first 6 modes). Has anyone experienced a similar issue with large models or high mode counts in Creo Simulate? Are there any known limitations, solver settings, memory requirements, or additional diagnostic logs that I should inves
Is it possible to use the home use license with an extension? We have Creo design advanced professional licenses, but cannot use the manufacturing extensions for home use. Myself and other employees have hobbyist CNC machines and were curious if we could purchase a CAM extension to use with the home license?
Tried to research this and found other posts but no results listed. Using CREO Parametric 10.0.4.0In an assembly, I have 10+ components assembled and always try to fully define the constraints. As I am adding additional components and constraints towards the end of the design (hardware) I start getting "Confirm Package Reference" which to me indicates another assembly component is not fully defined. I can click "Use Ref" and move on but want to resolve the unconstrained component that I am assembling new parts to. Looking back at the assembly tree, I see component #10 has a small box indicating it is not fully constrained. I click to edit constraints, and the Set Status says "partially constrained". Yet I have three constraints (coincident/distance/distance) that should fully constrain the part/subassembly. So I uncheck "Set Enabled" and create a new set. Using similar constraints, I get the status to read "Fully Constrained". Close out th
Hello everyone!I am trying to create a pin constraint regarding the rotor of an electric motor. As expected I want it to only rotate around itself. I'm getting an error when running tasks in CREO: ERROR CODE:3 (SUBCODE7). I've already contacted NVIDIA; we've updated the driver, rolled back to older versions, and tweaked the graphics card settings, but the error keeps coming back. The card is a Quadro P400.
