I'm looking for a method to insert a visible date stamp into a wirelist so that a reviewer can quickly verify when the wirelist report was generated. This datestamp needs to also be present in the CSV so that the datestamp is available when the CSV is exported. A datestamp can be added to the footer, but this footer does not get transferred to the CSV file (screenshot 1).If a row is added to the table with a datestamp, this row is repeated between every line, which is not the desired result (screenshot 2). Has anyone found a solution for this? It would be ideal if the footer would carry through to the CSV but this does not seem to be an option.
Hey ptc community,I wrote this simple Java program with AI but since I don't know anything about Java at all I need someone to tell me why it doesn't work.The error message I get is:Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\ENGapps\PTC\Creo 10.0.7.0\Common Files\x86e_win64\lib\jnicipjavamtz.dll: Can't find dependent librariesat java.base/java.lang.ClassLoader$NativeLibrary.load0(Native Method)at java.base/java.lang.ClassLoader$NativeLibrary.load(ClassLoader.java:2437)at java.base/java.lang.ClassLoader$NativeLibrary.loadLibrary(ClassLoader.java:2494)at java.base/java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary0(ClassLoader.java:2694)at java.base/java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary(ClassLoader.java:2656)at java.base/java.lang.Runtime.loadLibrary0(Runtime.java:827)at java.base/java.lang.System.loadLibrary(System.java:1888)at com.ptc.cipjava.initadapt.initadapters(initadapt.java:56)at com.ptc.pfc.pfcSession.pfcSession.<clinit>(pfcSession.java:33)at test.main(test.java:10)I also al
Hello!I am running a model of a bolted connection between 3 parts. Since CREO does not allow the use of the "Fastener" feature for 3 parts, I defined bonded surfaces to simulate the contact between parts. I also defined non-linear materials in order to evaluate plastic behavior of the system. When a bonded surface is defined in CREO, the program automatically creates measures for the interface forces. However, CREO only shows the interfaces measures when I run a static linear analysis (ignoring plasticity). Is there a workaround to be able to see interface measures when running a non-linear analysis with plasticity? Thanks!
I am just putting this out there to see if anyone else has been noticing that anything that seems to check references, especially using "edit references" has become ridiculously slow in the latest releases (Creo 8, 9). In a 300 feature model, half of the time it can take up to 15min for it to display the dialog box with the references. This generally happens when there is sometimes only 2 or 3 references, and the CPU isn't even being taxed at all... generally 6-7%. My drive is an SSD, and the files are local; so I can rule out anything to do with the network. It just seems like a massive bug; amongst others ones that were introduced that have made core functionality a terrible experience. The reference viewer also seems to extremely slower compared to Creo version 6. 8 and 9 seem to be some of the worst releases with regards to core functionality in a long time.
The idea here is to give to the user the ability to turn off the active section while being active in another feature.
A 3D model of a wire mesh net (1539.5 x 177.5 mm, wire diameter 0.5 mm). The pattern is created using 60 extrudes × 512 extrudes (total 30,720)a. First pattern (512 instances, 177.5 mm each) I used "Identical"b. Second pattern (60 instances, 1539.5 mm each) I used "General".Whenever I change pattern options—switching between "Variable", "General", and "Identical"—the regeneration time is about 3 minutes. Is there any way to reduce the regeneration time from minutes to just a few seconds?Note: I can't select both patterns as "Identical", because this prevents me from creating cuts/holes in the mesh model later due to self-intersecting surfaces. hence, I had to choose "General". But now regen time is too long.
Good day, everyone, I am in the process of setting up and testing the Intelligent Fastener Extension (IFX) for the company I work for, and I have successfully integrated some of our legacy data into IFX. However, I am struggling to import nested family table parts correctly. A bit of background:I was successful in getting our fasteners to appear in the screw dropdown (Metric Bolt FT DIN933 SS). However, the length selection was not available, and I was unable to place the fastener set. After some investigation, I realized that the family table instance did not include the length of each bolt. Instead, the file was nested by bolt size, with the length only available in the lower levels of the family tables. This led me to conclude that this might be why the length did not populate. I would like to know if the Intelligent Fastener Extension (IFX) is compatible with nested family tables. I have worked through B&W's IFX training guide, which was very h
Afternoon All, I am currently working with a large assembly, and required to make sub-assemblies for creating technical drawings. At the moment, the only way I'm able to copy parts into the new sub-assembly is dragging each individual part from the model tree into the new sub-assembly. I have tried messing around to figure out a way to simultaneously copy all of the desired parts into the sub-assembly, but nothing has worked out. I'm sure there's a simple solution that I'm missing, can anybody help? Thanks.
Hello,I'm trying to install Creo 11.0 Student Edition, but I'm stuck at the license step in the Installation Assistant. After I enter the product code **BE110908EDSTUDENTEDK12**, it says "Success!" — but in the "License Sources" section below, the generated license file shows the following error:**"Bad file or format"**(C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing\BE110908EDSTUDENTEDK12_license.dat)Because of this, I cannot proceed with the installation.I’ve already:- Disabled my antivirus software (including Alyac)- Deleted all previous files in the `Licensing` folder- Run `setup.exe` as Administrator- Tried restarting the process from scratchCould you please help me resolve this issue, or let me know if I can manually download and register the license file?Thank you in advance!
Creo10 & ProToolkit & Cpp... Button#1 (in UI_dialog#1) would have a callback, which would... step1) load DLL#2, and then step2) Call an exported Function (eg. "display_dialog_2") which would result in UI_dialog#2 being displayed alongside-of, or in-front-of UI_dialog#1. *But, I cant seem to get step 2 to work. UI#2 never displays. Any help&guidance would def be appreciated. Code example(s) even better.
I have a circular part with a rectangular keyway in the front plane.I have created an axis in the part normal to the front plane and referencing the right and top planes with 0.0 offsets. This is prior to creating any geometry. In the drawing of the part the axis crosshair is shown in the vertical plane and horizontal plane parallel to the keyway when the view is shown as front. If I rotate the front view by axis angle 45°, the axis crosshair are no longer shown as referencing the right and top of the part and parallel / perpendicular to the slot.Is there a way to have the axis cross hair fixed to the datums in the part, so that when the part is installed in an assembly , the angular dimensions can be called out depending on the position of the keyway. And if the part is rotated in the drawing the axis stay aligned to the keyway. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, i am having a small issue, when i import a part, i am getting a error message that the part template is not found.i have not changed any settings nor has anyone in the company changed anything either so im a bit baffled why the import function has decided to lose the default templateanyone know how to check for the template or tell creo to search for it? using Creo Parametric 6.0.6.0
When I update a feature that a copy geometry references I will change the model but the copy geometry or reference will not follow. In the latest instance I updated a hole. There is a sketch that references that hole and in the large assembly a part is assembled to that hole. The hole location moves accordingly but the sketch and part stay in the old position. This happens randomly. Sometimes opening a new session fixes the issues. Other times it does not. Otherwise I have to go into the following feature. Delete the reference, reselect the reference and then reconstrain. Creo 8.0.11.0
Hello Together, our company Blocks the acces for programs to the Documents folder so i need to change to config directory. I've already read that PTC help article about the IFX_USER_CONFIG_PATH but it isnt working for me. I'm adding it like this in the default ifx_start_mdl.cfg:IFX_USER_CONFIG_PATH "Path:\to\folder" I'm currently running Creo Parametric 9.0.6.0 on windows 10. (The Documents Block only applies to our win11 machines) Any guess what i'm doing wrong? Maybe editing the wrong config? Regards,
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.3.0Issue with “Fixing” Parts list table with repeat region fixing that pulls in data from a component parameter. We want to pull in information from assy component parameters and display info within a table column. Found that with this implemented, one is not able to “fix” the parts list table (which prohibits resorting).Example, component parameter assigned within assy context :NAME: REMARKSTYPE = STRINGVALUE = PURCHASEDAssy drawing parts list table has column entry fetching value: asm.mbr.cparam.REMARKSWorks as expected, reporting values for all components with component parameter “REMARKS”The problem is if I attempt to fix the table to prohibit resorting, I am met with the following error: “Can not fix index due to symbol.asm.mbr.CPARAM”The only way I can fix the table is by removing entry “asm.mbr.cparam.REMARKS” from parts lists table and also removing the “ASM_MBR_CPARAM_REMARKS” parameter from the repeat region’s relation UI
I am trying to hide the labels related to active combined states like Layer state , apperanace state etc. Also i want to modify or hide some times, the tolerance table label appears in the bottom right corner of the combined state. But i am not able to find any options to hide or modify these labels. Is it a limitation ? or is there any settings to control it. Please guide me if someone faced this problem.Using creo 8
Hello,i have an aluminium cylinder De60 Di54 L148 [mm]with the attached condition (Condition 1 e 2 . jpg)As a result of the thermal analysis (Thermal_analysis.jpg) i have what show in "Result.jpg" about thermal analysis I'm not sure that is correctCan you give me your opinion about it? Thank you
Hello, I would like to see if is possible to create multiple individual drawings from one main assembly. Currently our templates are set up so the revision level and initials displayed in the drawing are attached to the model and windchill. This works fine for the initial drawing that will get approved by the customer but because we treat each drawing as its own separate entity/part number and can be used to make multiple different end items, it becomes a massive headache. Currently we are having to create a family table with a separate instance per each drawing, which is a massive pain for file management and if we have to make any changes to a model once created. Also, since we custom machine and fabricate all of our products, we build our end item/complete assembly first then create the different supporting drawings by hiding components using component display. Any insight on how to make this possible would be greatly appreciated.
We want to get details of every GTOL (Feature control frames) created in on the every sheet (sheet wise). session.GetModelWindow(model).Activate() sheet = model Dim drawing = CType(model, IpfcDrawing) Dim nsheets = drawing.NumberOfSheets Dim sheetData = drawing.GetSheetData(1) Dim test = drawing.ListItems(EpfcModelItemType.EpfcITEM_ANNOTATION_ELEM) Dim mItem = CType(sheet, IpfcModelItemOwner) Dim feats = mItem.ListItems(EpfcModelItemType.EpfcITEM_GTOL)But we cant get any GTOL in feats. We tried quering dimensions, we get those dimensions. but from mulitple sheets. How can i get GTOLs. how we can understand to which sheet they belong.
Hi, I've attached an example with two flexible assemblies. Each of these assemblies contains two parts whose x-position is controlled using a variable dimension. Now my task is to get the "actual" position as it can be seen in the main assembly. I obviously can't use wfcWComponentFeat::getPosition as this gets me the "as constructed" position. I tried to call wfcWComponentFeat::Refresh and wfcWComponentFeat::RefreshRelations before calling getPosition but this hasn't changed anything... Do i have to calculate the correct position myself or is there some kind of "trick" that i have to do in order to get the correct position? Thanks, Christoph
I opened a drawing to make a simple revision and immediately had trouble selecting items. If I select a note the green box that normally surrounds the selection is offset and rotated. Creating a new note results in the same. I created a new sheet and switched the note to that new sheet and it is normal there. switching it back to original sheet and it messed up again. It only appears to be a problem on that sheet of that drawing. It is affecting tables in a similar way. Has anyone seen this and there is a way to fix it?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.8.0on a bulk item PProMdlType::PRO_MDL_PARTProMdlsubtype::PROMDLSTYPE_BULKProParameterDelete returns PRO_TK_GENERAL_ERRORThis same code works fine on parts. The UI can delete these parameters. I am a bit lost as to why i cannot delete them. If i am suppose to be able to delete these, i will create a mini project and share the source.
There anyway simple to identify what part is suppressed in a mammoth .asm? Tricks / Tips Pl ....Thx in advance!
I want to rotate an existing group in a part and delete the original. I tried: - Paste special and then used the independent option: It's not independent.- Paste special and then used the advanced option: Cannot simply rotate.- Tried Pattern: Cannot delete/suppress original. Is there a simple way to do it?
Is there a way, in CREO 10, to get the surface of an extrude to look different than the background surface? The first picture is what I was trying to achieve -- a plaque (i.e. an ornamental tablet, typically of metal, porcelain, or wood, that is fixed to a wall or other surface in commemoration of a person or event). The second picture shows how it looks in CREO, using NO HIDDEN -- anything else (like SHADING WITH EDGES) transforms it into something horrible, that cannot be understood (my colors in CREO have always been awful, never managed to get those nice pastel colors that other people show on YouTube). The third picture shows how it should look even in CREO -- I used colors to make a point, but what I had in mind was at least a GRAINY surface, different from the background surface of the respective plaque, just to make sense to someone who is trying to figure out what they are looking at (no need to look artistically pleasant, but to be at least intelligible).Any ideas would be great
