Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Heyooo, I needed to create a datum plane that was angled in a specific way, then offset from that angle. Usually this would take two plane features in my tree, one to angle a plane, then another to offset that plane. However I fat fingered my keyboard and while in the first step to set the angle, I entered an offset function. This gave me two planes the way I needed them, but under one feature in my tree. Does anyone know how this is done?

I'm looking for a tool that removes all traces of PTC Creo from a computer system. Does such a tool exist?

I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.3.0アセンブリ中にCtrl+Gで再生をしますが再生されないことがあります。なのでパーツごとに定義編集をすると最新の位置になりますが全てのパーツをやらなければいけません。また再生されないときにCreoを再起動すれば治ることがあったり、一部は再生され一部は再生されていない状態になっていたり。

I am using Creo 10. I have a number of udfs meant for Hydraulic Manifold Block design ease. It is all independant udfs. I had started developing them from about 2005. It includes BSP/NPT ports, angle holes, holes within holes, cartridge cavities etc. It comes out with its own 3D note which can be pulled into the 2D drawings, thus ensuring data transmissibility. Hole tables are also creatable, with hole coordinates in each plane being measured from the centre of the block. But this can be changed, if one so desires. If anyone is interested in using them, please ping me.A note to the moderator:I am a retired Hydraulic designer (32 years). I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.0.0I create counterbored holes using the hole feature in my model. When I create my 2D drawing, I create a hole table. The table will give me the through diameter of the hole, but I can't get it to show the counter bore diameter, or the counter bore depth. How do you add the counter bore diameter and depth?

Hello ptc community, Is it possible to get an overview to loading cycles. For Example a big assembly should get loaded to Creo, my point of view at Creo 4.0 is, that i only can watch at the taskmanager that the file gets loaded (throgh looking at the RAM load, CPU and GPU have not much to do at that state). Also between loading utilizations the programm is kind of locked until the File is completly available.I think a progress bar maybe with a percentage value would give an overview of the task. For program commands (for example: clusters) there is already a progress bar that shows the final calculated geometry that has been clustered. Yours sincerelyAlexander

Hello ptc community, If I create a List of materials (BOM) of an large assembly, the list does overlap with the frame of the drawing.Is it possible to split the list from one to two, to shorten the length? I know that I could use a bigger format for example to change from an A3 sheet to A2.But if everything fits to the format sheet (If the list is split to two) it would be worse to take a bigger sheet. Version of creo is 4.0 Yours sincerely,Alexander

Hi,  Our current drawings use stroke font as the default for drawings. But we need them to be with Truetype font. The reason behind it is that we need to manipulate the PDFs after Creo generating them. By simply use "use Truetype font" option during PDF export does not work well. The default Truetype font looks very different from the stroke font and also is much wider. Hence cause issues to fit into the table. Unfortunately, there is no option can change the default Truetype font. The only method is to change the default annotation font for the drawing.  The drawing default font is controlled by a ".dtl" file in each drawing. There is no universal setting that can change the font for all drawings all at once. That being said, the "dtl" file needs to be changed in every drawing one by one. For one project, we have around 3,000 drawings. It will take a long time to change them manually.  The Creo object toolkit or VB Api doesn't offer a function that can be

Using Creo 8.0.9 I'm working on a drawing that has a large table of dimensional values that directly reference dimensions created on views in a later sheet. When I create the dimensions on the drawing view, I enter a symbolic name (like 'H4', see image below) that corresponds with the name of the value on the first page. This way if the model changes in the future, the table automatically updates instead of needing to manually type in the new value. So, the table on sheet one has the value &H4, but displays the dimension named 'H4'.The issue I'm running into is that sometimes when I enter the name I want, it brings up a pop-up that says "This symbol is reserved or exists already". When I look through the annotations dropdown in the drawing tree, the dimension name I want isn't found under any of the views so there shouldn't be a conflict.Is there a way to see a list of all created dimensions on a drawing? I've also tried looking in "Show Model Annotations", but don't see the n

Have you ever encountered such a situation: In Creo3.0, when editing parameter properties, I wanted to define a drop-down value list for the parameters, but I found that I couldn't click the Define TAB in the Edit Properties dialog box. However, this issue does not exist in Creo4.0 or later versions.

I am having issues trying to open a UDF from a folder in our Windchill library.I get this error:'wtpub://PDM-PD/Libraries/COMMON CAD/CAD Documents/user defined features/90-4118-795-000' does not exist in the database.Caught exception: com.ptc.wfc.Implementation.pfcExceptions$XToolkitGeneralError When I dig into the log, it looks like it is failing here:Exception of type com.ptc.wfc.Implementation.pfcExceptions$XToolkitNotFoundXPFC Message: pfcExceptions::XToolkitNotFound...at com.ptc.wfc.Implementation.WFCRemoteCommImpl.makeObject line: 5453 If I put the UDF "90-4118-795-000" into my working directory, it executes fine and places the UDF as expected. I have tried to retrieve the UDF in a sandbox code and get the same error, so it seems it is related to .gph files?I can retrieve .prt files fine, so I am looking for any ideas on how to resolve this issue.

An issue was brought up last week by 2 of our users wanting to work with skeleton models. Users were reporting "Assembly license is required to use this functionality.", this was showing when trying to populate their assembly without existing skeletons. After further investigation I noticed all features of the AAX module are missing. We're not sure when this started, but has anyone noticed similar behavior?  Creo+ V12.2.0.0-020Windchill+ V12.1.2.12

What is the best way to find a dimension within a family table? Is there some sort of search function that can filter through the family table? For example, if I just have a dimension 'd160', what is the fastest way to find it in a large family table. 

Hello!I am trying to add a M7 ISO thread to my 3D piece but it has the wrong size. It's way tinier as what it schould be. The sizes are wrong for every ISO thread, and doesn't disappear after restarting Creo, or by creating new pieces.Im am Using Creo 8.0.4.0, and I believe the problem came once I changed the language.Thank you for your help and your time.

Hi everyone, I'm working on automating a process using a batch file that will be triggered as a scheduled task. The steps I'm trying to automate are as follows: 1- Launch Creo Parametric (version 10.0.7.0)2- Start a tool that interacts with Creo to run it automatically in the background.3- Shut down the configurator.4- Shut down Creo itself. Parts 2 and 3 are not a problem: this tool was developed by our consultants using the Creo toolkit. It's simply a matter of invoking one batch file to start it and another to stop it. The issue is with the shutdown of Creo. I don't want to use a brute-force taskkill command to close Creo, as I'd prefer a more graceful and proper way to do it. I considered simulating keyboard shortcuts (such as Alt+F+X) to close the program, using either VBScript or AutoHotkey, but here's the catch: since this task will be running as a scheduled task, with no user logged in, none of these solutions will work because they require the UI to be accessibl

I am using Creo 11.0 I have multiple Simp Rep in assembly for example S1, S2, S3 and S5. Now I am assemble one more part and create one more sim rep S6. So, S6's part automatically added in all existing representation. Now my problem is that how can I exclude S6's part from all existing easily.  Thanks in advance. 

Hi Folks,Using Creo 7.0.8.0In the 'Shape' sub-tab of the 'hole' modeling feature ribbon, I recall the graphic used to show the tap-drill depth. I don't see this anymore. Nonetheless, is there a way to add drill depth to the note callout properly? This is omitted and only tap-depth is shown. Thank you.
