Hi @MartinHanak How are you ? With reference to topic Do you know which config caused the drag and drop issue ? I have similar issue for a customer using CREO 10 Cheers
I have a file with dozens of independent features that I want to create similar parameters for. I can export the XML data, but it does not contain the appropriate information to re-assign the parameters on import. Any one have any ideas?
Creo 9.0.6 Is there a config available to adjust what tab opens when assembling a part that has predefined flexibility? See the attached image as I'm using a pre-defined feature flexibility. When assembling and using that predefined I'd like it to open directly to the feature tab. I've had users completely miss the little (1) icon next to the text on a tab and not be able to find what to adjust. I understand that dimensions are the most likely to be used and that makes it a great default, but a little order of operations rule would be great here.
Need to create a section that combines a full section and a half section for a concentrically assembled assembly. Please refer "section.png" for detail info. Thanks in AdvancePrakash
One of our users is experiencing issue with PTC Control Center not updating Creo and not being able to be updated. When trying to perform a fresh install of the Control Center is says we can't overwrite the current install. Tried everything from an IT stand point except a fresh install of windows. Any one experience this? Screen grab added
I'm designing a Isogrid geometry in Creo 10, but I'm having trouble with the Thicken feature. Creo allows me to thicken only one surface of this "box"—it doesn't matter which surface I choose, it always works for the first one. However, when I try to thicken a second surface, it fails.Does anyone know a fix for this?
I'm installing CREO 10.0.6.0 to use CREO Anysys Simulation, when I start it gives a flexnet version error, I've tried all possible versions and I can't get it to work, the license is for CREO 11, as shown in the print
I'm trying to setup the piping module for use in our company. In the line stock menu you can set user defined parameters but they don't show up anywhere. I need them to show up in the solid pipe parts.I have tried with the following test parameters and valuesPARAMETER VALUEMAKE_FROM A1612309TESTMAKE BBTESTPAR 12 I have tried recreating the pipe after changing the linestock parameters. I have saved the line stock every time.Is there something I'm doing wrong here?
When I open a big assembly, is there a way to open it clean without showing all points, datums, axis, coordinates ? See attach
I am on CREO 10.0.7.0 and I want to hide and unhide parts quickly by just pointing my cursor or at least clicking it. I was used to quickly hiding and unhiding parts with Tab and Alt+Tab in SolidWorks without even clicking anything.I tried H for Hide but it only works when part is selected on the model tree. If I have to go to the model tree, I might as well just right click and select hide.I tried these mapkeys below found on the community but they only work when selected from model tree. Is there a way to make them work when selected through the graphics area?mapkey hc @MAPKEY_NAMEhide the selected component;\mapkey(continued) @MAPKEY_LABELHide Component;~ Command `ProCmdViewHide`;mapkey uh @MAPKEY_NAMEUn-Hide the selected Component;@MAPKEY_LABELUn-hide;\mapkey(continued) ~ Command `ProCmdViewShow`;mapkey spo @MAPKEY_NAMESELECT THE NEXT LEVEL SUB ASSEMBLY;\mapkey(continued) @MAPKEY_LABELSELECT PARENT;\mapkey(continued) ~ Timer `UI Desktop` `UI Desktop` `popupMenuRMBTimerCB`;\mapkey(c
I have a drawing template where I want to set up the layer display by view on some sheets. I am able to read in a layer setup file for the .drw top model and alter/save the display status. I have not been able to find a way to define within the template the view layer display status. Is this even possible? There are 16 drawing views in the template where I need to control the layer display via the view so if I can set this up in the template it will avoid manual setup when a drawing is created from this template. This is a capture from a drawing using this template showing the layer tree use for layer display within views. I want to access the views in the template to define the layers display in the template. Obviously, there is no active model when working on the template.
Hi,I am using one 3D model to represent two parts (one with additional holes in it, using representations. For the two parts, they have different decals due to the number of holes. So I created a surface where the decal goes for each representation, However, every time I check in my part, the surface becomes "hidden". And so when I look at the part in a brand new session (after erase not displayed, or closing and opening creo 8), the decal doesn't appear right. I have to manually "unhide" the surface from the model tree, and then it shows up correctly. I have tried to check out, unhide, and check in. However, after closing the session and reopening, it reverts to the hidden surface. Any tips on what might be happening? Thanks!
I have a situation where I'm welding components together that have a small defined gap in some situations. In the case where there is weld blow thru, I'd like to specify they grind flush the opposite side. The symbol attached is essentially what I want but I don't want the fillet symbol to show up on the other side. There is no welding there, just a grind finish. Seems the finish and contour specs are buried under the type of weld and can't be placed w/o a type. Is there another symbol I can use for this in Creo or do I need to make a custom? I'm using symbol comb_v_bev_sqr_fil. Creo 8.0.0.0 Thanks..
Hi, in Creo 10.0.3 I have included parameter PTC_MASTER_MATERIAL in family table in 3d part, while I am trying to create table which sows all selected parameters on the drawing PTC_MASTER_MATERIAL is missing. Can you please help me how to solve this problem? Thanks!
I want to create a menu bad and a menu button in creo 8.0 using visual studio 2022, i tried to create with " ProMenubarMenuAdd" but in help file it says its depreciated, is there anyone who could help me with this.
Dear PTC Community, I frequently encounter the following problem and I can't wrap my head around it. I'd appreciate if some of you experts would like to shed some light into the situation. I am trying to fill a portion of a component with lattice structures. I have separated the part to be filled as a separate component (you can find the part attached to this post as .prt, .igs, .stp). I am using Creo Parametric 9.0, and it only allows me to fill the part with formula-based lattices. When I try to fill it with beam lattices (e.g., hexagonal, see screenshot), I get a feature error. I also attempted to cut the body from a lattice cube using a Boolean operation, but without success. I tried this with many similar bodys, and can not get it to work properly. Does anyone have a suggestion as to why this is not working? My lattice Options:Option for hexagonal beam lattice Best regards,Garbean
Hi, I've tried to find the error in the problematic sketch, but I can't understand what is the error or where it sits. Somehow I was able to create exterior swept blend but not internal one with material removal... Have tried to sketch it identically to the other end of the pipe but the error is still there. The main pipe track has been copied from another part and rotated. But it works well wen I add paths at one end, but not on the other...
Using CFA, I am trying to set the initial condition of a pressure vessel filled with gas at high pressure, set the outlet pressure to atmospheric pressure, and measure the time it takes for the entire vessel to reach atmospheric pressure. The time it takes for the pressure to drop is almost the same as the simulation time (required time).Specifically,if the simulation time is set to 5 seconds, it will take about 5 seconds to reach atmospheric pressure, and if the simulation time is set to 10 seconds, it will take about 10 seconds to reach atmospheric pressure. Is there something wrong with my settings? For example, maybe there aren't enough iterations.I would appreciate some advice on the settings when performing calculations like this.
Does anyone know how to construct that star shape with a simple white spine?I cannot get rid of the central lines generated by the corners of the three spikes, tried blending to a point or to a smaller star point, to no avail. And when trying to round those corners with an arc, I am having issues with connectivity between the arcs and the segments, and I am not able to get rid of those errors (no idea how to deal with them).Any suggestion is welcome!!
Hi, I’m new to my company, and we use Creo 9.0. Previously, I worked with SolidWorks and developed some useful VB tools there. Now, I’d like to replicate that for Creo. One task I’m trying to accomplish is verifying whether all parts have the correct parameters. I’ve created a VB.NET code to:Generate a drawing template and use the repeat region to collect all the parameters in parts within an assembly.Export the table to a CSV file so I can analyze it in Excel. However, I’m encountering an issue when exporting the table to CSV. The problem is that not all models have the same parameters. When I use the repeat region to generate the table, some cells are empty. Whenever my VB program encounters these empty cells, it stops running.I believe the issue is related to data types. The VB API seems to handle only text formats (stringseq), but when it encounters an empty cell or a cell containing a real number, the program throws an error.Does anyone have a solution for handling different data ty
Hi, can someone help me with why I am getting a regenerating failed error when trying to sweep the wire cross section along the hexagonal twisted profile.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.1.0In Creo 11, after creating a new part (e.g. ctrl-n), the keyboard does not type an "@" character (shift+2) into the lower menu space (where the message log is shown), for example to trigger a mapkey name that contains "@". All shift characters have the same problem after a new part is created. I have confirmed that I can type the @ character into the menu space before creating the new part. The characters can still be typed into the "search" field so it is not a hardware issue. I have also confirmed that Creo 10 does not exhibit this problem.
We are having the same issue: We want to export all of Creo's assembly parts as individual *stp files with a specific coordinate system, with a specific name that is not the "default". We are looking for a way to do it with a mapkey after opening the assembly. Do you know if this could be possible? if so, can you point us to the right direction? I am trying to set the value of a parameter called DRAWNBY using the value of the environment variable %USERNAME% I have tried adding the following line to both the parametric.psf file and the config.pro file, but in both cases, the parameter had a blank value after starting Creo. I have verified the environment variable by going to the command prompt and typing ECHO %USERNAME% and it returns the current user of the PC.
Hi, Having some issue trying to get dimension text to display as intended, I'm trying to get a custom hole note to show: 6X etc etc...... I'm using the hole &P number, but as soon as I try to put the X directly after &p132 it will not display.I'm not sure what modifier I need to use, hopefully someone can help. Thanks.
