Hi everyone, I’m facing a performance issue related to PDF rendering between two widgets in ThingWorx. We are using a Repository Connector (not a local FileRepository) where all PDF files are stored.Each PDF is around 4 MB in size.   When I render a PDF through a WebFrame widget, it loads almost instantly (within a second).However, when I render the same PDF using a ThingView widget, it behaves differently:   The first PDF usually loads quickly. But when I open subsequent PDFs, the loading time increases significantly (sometimes up to 8 seconds or more). It feels like ThingView is reloading or re-parsing the file differently each time.   Additional Note:I have also tested the same setup using a local FileRepository, and the ThingView widget works perfectly fine there. The performance issue seems to appear only when using the remote Repository Connector.What’s confusing is that the WebFrame widget still loads the same remote PDFs much faster, so I’m trying to unders

I have KepServer on PC IP 172.17.90.31 with Modbus TCP/IP Driver for Yokogawa DCS using ALE111 device with IP 172.17.90.30 communication. It seems comms is only established when Device ID in the project is <127.0.0.1>,0 and not with <172.17.90.30>,0. I understand this is due to ALE111 is Modbus Master in this case. I am facing issues where TAGs value are not accurately updating in some TAGs, but some are ok. I also have issue where the real parameter values in data type "float" always show "0" and do not update on live run. If I stop the KepServer service via Windows "runtime - End Task" and then restart KepSever project, the QC on initial handshake will display the last stopped value or stored value on the parameter TAGs, but on second update onwards, it will go back to "0" value and no update. I can successfully write to these parameter TAGs via QC and confirm the handshake with device. Can I please get support, if the Project configuration needs modification or Device pr

We have a successful connection from KEPServer to a Siemens PLC using Siemens TCP/IP Ethernet. The only issue we are having is that when the PLC is powered off, we are filling up the KEPServer event log with hundreds of entries per hour. . Is there any way for KEPServer to deactivate the tags while the PLC if offline, and re-activate when the PLC is powered back up?  

Hi all,We're running Thingworx 10 as SaaS with Thingworx Kepware server 6.18 on-prem. I sometimes notice that devices that are disconnected in kepware (e.g. powered off), still have properties in Thingworx that show good quality. When I run GetPropertyDiagnostics on any of the properties, the results shows CurrentQuality as BAD.It also seems like the behavior is not always the same, most often the disconnection will change the property quality & values as expected.As Push Type we use 'Pushed based on deadband', when I change this to 'always', the property quality changes and values are set back to 0 (so the expected behavior) but with ten thousands of properties the impact on our environment will be too high.Is there any other way to ensure that a disconnected machine is always seen in thingworx without using a workaround like a lifebit?

Is it possible to access other Channels' Tag data from within a Universal Device Driver profile? I need to save some Tag data to a csv or text file and am looking at the possibility of using UDD in File Mode to periodically write the data values from a channel (Modbus TCP for example) to file.  I'm just not yet sure if there's a way to access 'outside' Tag data from within the UDD Channel/profile. 

We need to pull data out of an old 5/250 but Kepware is preventing us from entering the address as they need to be.  the PLC5 architecture is "N7:40" for example but in the PLC5/250 it requires a leading digit to identify which module the address is in so "N7:40" in a 5/250 would be "0N7:40".  Has anyone had any experience with this? THank you,Dean

Hello, We are currently running Ignition（SCADA soft） on Linux and would like to use KEPServerEX as the OPC server/gateway. However, the documentation indicates that KEPServerEX is Windows-only, and using Windows is not an option in our environment.We also considered other options such as KEPServerEX Edge, but the available drivers/licensing do not match the PLC we need to connect to, so Edge does not meet our requirements either.Questions / what we are trying to achieve:Are there any plans for KEPServerEX to support Linux (either natively or officially via containerization/other supported deployment methods)?Our goal is to acquire data from a PLC using KEPServerEX and then provide that data to Ignition (e.g., via OPC UA). What is the recommended approach when Ignition is running on Linux and Windows cannot be used?Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello all,Currently trying to read values from 0i-TF CNC machine. Using Open Model in Focas library  WHen try to read the value, the data type changed to Native and Quality and No Value.I tried to refer from previous post/topic but seems never work for me.

I am trying to load an external website inside a Web Frame widget in a ThingWorx Mashup.I added the  URL in the URL property of the Web Frame widget: However, when I open the mashup, the page does not load and the widget appears blank.What I have already checked:The URL works correctly when opened directly in the browser.The Mashup loads successfully in ThingWorxThe URL is added correctly in the Web Frame widget properties.Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am working on Windchill 12.1 and trying to add an action in which if we select multiple documents and right click, then an action should appear to download the stamped PDFs in zip of those documents. The action works when I add jcaDebug in the URL but it is disabled normally.I have added the action in customAction.xml and customAction-Model.xmlCan someone clarify on this.

Hello Everyone,We are using the Advanced Tree widget in our mashup. The same widget works fine in the QA environment but fails in the PROD environment. I have a requirement to add a thin banner to the top of the browser window in Composer.  I'm essentially asking for the same thing as this older post that had no response: https://community.ptc.com/t5/ThingWorx-Developers/Custom-banner-in-Composer/td-p/540405  Is it possible to configure ThingWorx/Tomcat to display such a banner across all webpages served to users, including Composer?

Hi everyone, I have two ThingWorx projects that depend on each other. Both i want to  import as packages into our server. I noticed the following behavior: When I reference the Thing dynamically like this, it works without any issue means package is created:   const Controller = "thingName; Things[Controller ].serviceOne({ id: 234, state: "complete", });   However, when I try to use the dependency more directly (e.g., referencing it statically without the intermediate variable), I get an error while packaging for dependency.   Things[thingName].serviceOne({ id: 234, state: "complete", });   My questions: Is there a recommended way to handle cross-project Thing references? Any insights or best practices would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

We have an application that receives messages from mobile devices. Each message contains a device ID, a coordinate, and the timestamp when the coordinate was captured.This data is stored in a Value Stream as a position history: ID, capture timestamp, coordinate.The issue is that devices sometimes resend coordinates with a capture timestamp that already exists in the Value Stream. When this happens, ThingWorx overwrites the existing record instead of creating a new one.Example:At 10:00 AM, device 123 sends coordinate A,B with capture timestamp 10:00 AM → stored as:123, 24/02/2026 10:00 AM, A,BLater, at 5:00 PM, the same device sends coordinate C,D with capture timestamp 10:00 AM. ThingWorx replaces the previous record, resulting in:123, 24/02/2026 10:00 AM, C,DHow can we prevent overwriting and instead store both records with the same capture timestamp?

Im having issues trying to communicate KepServerex V5 5.13 with BACnet server Automated Logic WebCTRL. The server have some HVAC, eletrical and Diesel equipments, but some of these devices are listed on ARCnet network. Hi all,Having a little trouble getting a threshold transform property to work. My goal in this example is to count how many of the last two property values are above the threshold. The data is changing to above the threshold but the transform is not occurring. Anyone familiar with how this specific transform works? Was able to get other simple ones like mean to work easily. 

Hi Community,   I am using the WebFrame widget in a ThingWorx Mashup to display PDF files. On desktop browsers it works completely fine — I can scroll through and see all pages of the PDF.   However, on the iPad, if I open a PDF that has more than one page, only the first page is displayed. When I scroll down, no further pages are shown (it looks like the PDF is cut off).   Has anyone faced this issue before? Is there any workaround / configuration needed to properly display multipage PDFs on iPads?   I have already tried different browsers on ipad. result is same. Thanks in advance for your help!

I've to do a migration from KEPServerEX 5.8 to KEPServerEX 7, step by step, using a BRIDGE KEPServerEX 7 solution, that initially it is connected in OPC-UA to all OLD channel/device/tags of KEPServerEX 5.8.Then in a new Server with KEPServerEX 7 we migrate step by step each original channel, then connecting the BRIDGE to the new one migrated.Finally we will have the BRIDGE only linked in UA Client to the new KEPServerEX 7 migrated, and no more to the old one KEPServerEX 5.8. Now we are testing this migration scenario creating in Kepware 7 BRIDGE an OPC-UA Channel to Kepware 5.8 OLD, but we have some issue when the remote Channel in Kepware 5.8 is it self an OPC-UA driver.In some cases, the tags seems to be unknown and in bad quality, why ?The issue happen also if I try to read the remote TAGs via UAExpert tool To understand/replicate the issue I have done also another example locally, in order to exclude network and OPC-UA configuration, both in
