Mathcad

Hello all, I believe I am suffering from a similar problem to a previous post; Solved: Mathcad Prime worksheet Running Slow Compared to M... - PTC Community I have a legacy calculation converted from Mathcad 15 that is mathematically very simple but approximately 170 pages long and as you will see from the attached is butchering my cpu.  The aforementioned Prime calculation is consequently running painfully laggy and occasionally crashing.   Does anyone have any recommendations on a sensible procedure for processing such conversions that goes beyond the standard PTC Mathcad Migration guide? For example, is it advantageous to break the calculation up into areas and disable them etc... @VladimirN , @terryhendicott 

Making some calculations with MathCAD I got an error such as: Unknown error: A call target threw an exception.Is there some stack trace which I could investigate to comprehend the situation? Thanks in advance. 

I converted a part of file from my Mathcad 15 worksheet and getting the error due to this i am unable to proceed with calculations Can it be converted somehow?

The LIcense .dat file does not seem to be working when installing on a new computer.

Can anyone recommend a good introductory text book for mathcad (I've got Mathcad15). I need something that covers the math operations, with plenty of fully explained examples (with keystrokes etc)? I use Mathcad as a math person (not an engineer). Many thanks. Peter Kirby.

We are currently using standalone Matchcad 14 and 15.We are encountering issue with the software. Mathcad is blank and showing break lines. Please advise how to rectify and also how to update the software.

Has anyone tried this... really important for school that's about to start :E I would like to keep using open source alternatives but I must make sure I can still learn like the rest at my schyool. Thank you!

Hello!I wonder if there is any way of plotting parametric curves where the parameter can't be  expressed in terms of variables ("x" and "y"). Example 1: Parametric curve x=t^3 - 4t,  y=t^2 can be plotted by using this equation x=sqrt(y)*(y-4). File attached. Example 2: Parmetric curve x=t^2 * sin(t), y=t^2 * cos(t) - "t" can't be expressed easily in terms of "x" and "y".(or is it correct to write t=asin(x) * (asin(x))^2 ?) Best,Sergey

I have been trying to create a simple while loop and just can't figure out the error Mathcad keeps prompting. Can someone suggest what the issue is here?

I used to have this problem when I had regular sheet. However, now, I'm using API and input everything using API, but my output isn't refreshing. I have to open, refresh and open again by hand. Anyone faced this issue before?

Run Mathcad License wizard user by browsing default Mathcad installation location C:\Program Files (x86)\Mathcad\Mathcad 15\mclicense.exe (Right click and #Run as administrator) or Run Mathcad 15 as administrator     On the Welcome to Mathcad 15.0 page select #I want to acquire license via the Internet and click #Next   2.  On Acquire a License file via the Internet, select #Educational - Student, enter the Product Code and select #Next   3.  Installer will prompt for Account Creation,  on Page  "Create New PTC eSupport Account", enter all the required information under #Basic Account. Select #Create Account(3). Once an account gets created, you'll get a confirmation PTC.com Basic Account Created (4). Now select #Next (5)    4. Provide the details and select options as highlighted in below images:   Provide PTC.com account information   Mathacd License will be acquired   #Finish the process   5.

Hi   I would like to subtract the values in the column by subtracting 2 from 1, 3 from 2, etc. and have results in a new column. Basacly i would like to have differences betweene two lenghts.

No matter what the value is it always passes to ok

Hi, I'm trying to figure out the math for something that I did in CAD. Eventually, I have to code it in Fortran. However, I thought I should try in Mathcad first. I found some websites and tried to use the information they provided. For their inputs, I get their answers. However, when I try to use the real inputs from the CAD model it's way off and doesn't seem to make any sense. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. This isn't a Mathcad issue, just me trying to figure out the math. From what I can tell this is the point normal form of intersecting planes. I actually know what the surface normals are. But the values I'm getting from the math don't match at all. Ultimately, I need to figure out the angle between the intersecting line and the local xy plane (rather than the global xy plane). I tried to provide some pictures. I have triple checked my inputs and don't see any issues there. I suspect my math is not right, but I have no idea why. Anthony 

Hello. I have Mathcat Prime 4.0 Student Licencse. I cannot find a download for Mathcat Prime 4.0 and cannot use the License to activate Prime 7.0. How can i upgrade my License to work for 7.0? My account is not permited to use the PTC LicenseManger online

When running MathCad 14 it is looking for a license file. It cannot retrieve one over the internet. Can you provide a license file?
