Mathcad

New to this Mathcad Prime here. Version 10.0.  I converted a sheet from Mathcad 15, In the converted sheet, every time I change the inputs I get question marks on the outputs and have to go back and manually type the uints over again. Is this a bug or can I solve this somehow. Thanks.

Could anyone suggest how I can setup a function within Mathcad to resolve the attached expression where I am looking to find theta?

Over 2 decades ago, I had a need to document technical analyses.  After some research, I discovered Mathcad V3 (?).  It worked with Windows 3 (or 3.1).  I was ecstatic that Mathcad served my specific needs!  Over the years, there were somewhat regular updates.  As had been mentioned in other posts, Mathcad originally used the Maple Symbolic engine and then moved away from it.  That was not a problem as I purchased a Maple license to fill in the gap.The above arrangement worked for me until PTC no longer supported Mathcad 15.  It served my purposes for many years, so I decided to try Mathcad PRIME.  It was an early version and it would not serve my purposes.  However, I kept track of it and it became obvious that PTC was serious about developing PRIME's capabilities.  I have had the opportunity to work with PTC PRIME 10 (and soon, V11) at my workplace.  I am pleased with the capabilities and considered purchasing a personal license.

I have Mathcad 14, working fine till now. I was bound to reinstall the PC, but now I get error in licensing the mathcad 14. "Unexpected Error. The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden."I did not get any time limit when I bought Mathcad 14, so I should be able to continue using it. It is only for occassional private (academic) use.

Hello, I have attached the Excel and P10 sheet. I'd like to read data from the second tab of the Excel sheet. The P10 sheet can read from the first tab of the sheet, but not the second tab. I don't know why.  Also, I am interested in reading the values in several columns. Is it better to do one column at time, or there are other options? HelloI have issues with matrix calcualtions.  I am calculating the stifness matrix of something but I want to multipy a matrix by a vector. But I want to put unknown variable in the vector so the resulting vector is a function of the variable. I am ataching pictures to illustrate what  I mean. Thanks for any help.

Hello, I am reading values from an Excel sheet. I was building on the answer that Werner had for one of the questions. I have attached both P10 sheet and the excel sheet i am reading from. I was able to read the values for some but not others. The problem is there are dashes at TPP3,TPP5,...  Thanks,Sam  

The Mathcad Prime Documentation tab contains two dropdowns for adding and removing space, respectively.   The Add Space button allows the addition of a single line or a page.  The Remove Space button allows the deletion of a single line or all empty space down to the next region (if any).     I frequently add extra pages to allow plenty of leeway for adding new regions in between existing ones.  I always find it a bit of a nuisance having to press the Add/Remove buttons twice to tidy up the worksheet afterwards.   I don't think I've ever used the single line option for either adding or removing spaces.  It is almost trivially easy to carry out these tasks using the Enter or Delete/Backspace keys, switching to Draft Mode if necessary to ensure the correct cursor position (which is almost certainly necessary to use the single-line button options, anyway).   So, I was wondering if anybody makes use of the single line options, or would miss th

Hi,How a Mathcad program will look like in which Barnsley fern  fractal plot can be seen?

I have a set of bounding temperature data Ti, at coordinates (xi,yi,zi).  I would like to linearly interpolate the temperature at interior points within the bounding points.  The bounding points could be like a cube, or other shape, or a plane or a line element.  Is there a mathcad prime program that can do this?

Hello, I have to process~750 rows, pulling values from another PRIME file using the INCLUDE statement.  I'm trying to write a text file in a certain format (just 6 row sample).  First column of values would have no quotation marks.  Second column of values would be text or string if a decimal place was included, only to two decimal places.  The delimiter between rows would be a comma.  Attached are a sample PRIME file of what I created and a text file of which I would like to see.Ideas?

When making a template in Mathcad Prime 10.0.0.0, i set the document -> View -> to "Draft".  I then save and reopen the template but it always reverts to "Page" view.  I never had this problem with Mathcad15.-Is there not an ability to set the user made template (document -> View) to always open in "Draft" on that specific template?-Additionally, i have the same question for setting the default zoom on the Document -> View.  Can the zoom setting be set in the user made prime template. Note: if i've got 10 people using the template, i doubt many of them will remember to manually change document to "Draft" view each time they open the template.

This time, I need your expertise to help me resolve the following:I have several 3D zones defined by two opposite diagonal points, as shown in the figure below. I have prepared the zones as an m × 6 matrix, where each row is [x1 y1 z1 x2 y2 z2]. Row 0 → Zone 1, Row 1 → Zone 2, etc.I also prepared a list of points as an N × 3 matrix. Let PTS be N × 3 with columns [x y z]:My inVolume formula is producing the correct Boolean answer (1 or 0) depending on whether a point lies inside the volume or not. However, my matrix implementation is not producing the expected result. I would like also to work with units of length.    Attached is the MathCAD Prime 7 worksheet. I've been exploring various research papers and online resources regarding four-bar mechanisms, and I noticed that most of them include complex and advanced equations for motion and force analysis. Hello All, I have attached P9 mathcad sheet. I am struggling to do four "if" statements. I have  four different exposures A,B,C, and D. I managed to do up to exposure B. I just did exposure "B" and I don't remember how i did it.I am not able to add another "else" statement for exposure C, D.  Thank you!Sam

When I am working I screensnip and paste sources I am using for my calculations on the side of the document for easy reference. If I try to copy them further down the same worksheet or into a different worksheet often the image doesn't paste and instead I get a "Browse for Image' button. THE IMAGE IS BEING COPIED FROM THE SAME WORKSHEET!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN??? It doesn't always happen, which makes it even more frustrating!! The problem is that the image is a screensnip and may have been taken by someone else using the document or not saved to my computer, so there is no file for which to browse.  I am kind of new to mathcad, so maybe there is something I am doing wrong, but this is a very aggravating problem to have.  Attached is an example of what I am talking about. Some of the images pasted, but not all of them.Also some screensnips.   Any help is appreciated!!

Hello, I defined an electron volt in terms of Joules, and tried to convert Joules to electron volts in prime 11, and got an error saying electron volt was undefined.   What am I doing wrong? I get the same error when I replace the J with the eV in the 2nd to last expression.  This worked in MathCAD 15. Thanks for the help, Paul
