Hello, I have the attached mathcad with the inputs: "a", "b" and "Table". "a" should be looking in the first row of "Table" to find a match, vector "b" should be looking in the first column of "Table" to find a match for each value of the vector. The final result should return the result from the intersection of the column and line previously identified to get the result from "Table". Thank you, Otilia
Frequently, my curor position will not accept typing a variable name. The cursor location is not close to another region. The location will accept starting new text if I start the text with quotation marks, ". I have to keep moving the cursor around randomly to get Mathcad 15 to accept the variable name. I can paste a variable name at the location; I just cannot start typing at the location. I run Mathcad 15 on a PC with Windows 7 Profesional with plenty of memory. This problem is so frequent that it makes using Mathcad 15 very frustrating. I only upgraded to 15 because my old Mathcad 6 plus would not install on Windows 7 without running in a virtual XP mode.I would just go back to 6 plus running in XP mode, but when I eventually have to upgrade to Windows 10 or beyond, I doubt that running in XP mode will be available.I did not attach a Mathcad file because I did not think the problem could be repeated on another system. If attaching a file w
Hello, I have the vector from the attached file with the input data. I need to do both the sum and the total number of all positive elements from N22 (only positive). How can i do this? Thank you, Otilia
Hello! I am new to the PTC forums, but I had a question regarding how to format a particular differential equation into Mathcad Prime. My equation is: ads=integral(v) dv Below is a screenshot of what I have so far, but it is using my guess value as the solution, when the actual solution for Vo is 15.5 ft/s. Acceleration, a, is given to be constant at 12 ft/s^2, initial displacement, So, is given to be 0 ft, final displacement, Sf, is given to be 140 ft, final velocity, Vf, is 60 ft/s. That leaves initial velocity, Vo. The basic form of the differential equation I am employing goes a*ds=integral (v) dv where ds is the differential for displacement and dv for velocity. Any help regarding this formatting would be greatly appreciated guys! Thanks!
Hi all, For the attached sheet, I am trying to calculate the mid-point of each layer using an if statement. The values are entered using an Excel table. For the first layer, the mid-point is simply H0/2 (so 0.9 m). For the second layer, the mid-point is the previous mid-point, plus the average of the previous and current points (so, 0.9 m + (1.8+1.6)/2 = 2.6 m). For some reason however, the simple IF code I am trying to use doesn't seem to work. I am not very familiar with programming in Mathcad, so any help would be appreciated.Thanks!-Fikret
Hello Everyone. From : Is there a way to edit the program function to otain the output as the above ? Thanks in advance.
We have a floating license set up on our server and in the LMTools program the status says 1 license availible. There has been a rule added to the firewall on the server to open port 7788.When configuring the client, I've tried using both the server name and the server IP address to no avail.Whe also have an Autodesk Simulation license issued on another instance of LMTools on the same server. Would this be causing an issue? What else might I try?
Hello All,I am struggling to get MathCad 15 up and running. The problem started when I had our purchasing agent purchase the software for me (all emails went to him).I have downloaded the software and installed it on my computer and registered on the PTC site. I received 2 emails containing flex/LS license filesEmail one - lm_xxxx.txt - necessary for license borrowing.Email two - lm_xxxx_standard.txt - required for older Pro/ENGINEER releases.I don't know what to do with these files and the links given in the email containing the instructions are not available to me.I have sent emails and attempted to contact tech support and also the MathCad sales group. The sales group refers me to Tech Support who do not answer my emails and cannot be contacted by phone. It has been almost 4 weeks since I purchased the software. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks,Craig ChristensenCampbell Scientific, Inc
Hello Everyone. From : Thanks in advance.
Please see attached Mathcad (prime 5)- Won't let me past the picture. So pic also attached. Exceeds 2000 words or something
Hello, Need urgent help for this problem in Mathcad Prime 4.0 , What is the problem here ? The file is also attached in this post. Thanks in advance.
Hi, I am really new to Mathcad. I have a problem to find a "d" variable in constraint with L as the dependent factor. The problem is, I want to get "d" with range variables of L from 0 to 1000 mm. So I get range value of "d" based on the L inputs. Could we do this by that way with solve block? Appreciate your guy's help
I am running the same function in Prime and Mathcad but get different results. See attached
As resol for as equações para encontrar o valor de x e eu sou novo no mathCad Eu uso o MathCad Prime 5.
I am trying to plot a stress strain curve using a model but the strain values don't start from zero. wonder if anyone can look at the template attached.
I need help solving these ODEs. File is attached and the ODEs to solve are at the bottom of the worksheet. Thanks! Help is greatly appreciated.
Hello, I am trying to work with my final solution but Mathcad is saying the variable is undefined even though it's being defined earlier. I have attached the file. Any help will be really appreciated. Thank you, Faisal
any help would be appreciated with changes i need to make so the last formula on page 4 will calculate the individual values correctly.
Hi, I have been working on this equation and the worksheet works. Now I want to export rho_ms(w) and w to make a plot and be compared with the result from other program. I have read about the vectorization process like in this https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Mathcad/exporting-the-vector-of-f-x-y-function-into-matrix-or-table/m-p/569400 and follow one of the uploaded file. But I have this labeling issue. What I understand about this vectorization is we need to change our range variable into an indexed variable. what label should I put for that index i?if I use w(i), it is ok, but it comes back to a case of range variable, doesn't it? I tried with auto and variable, but still have error while one uploaded worksheet in the link above use auto and works. maybe i missunderstand something here. I attached the worksheet.I appreciate the help.
Hi, I need a help how to derive the graph . I attached all the reference and Mathcad for your reference.
Hi, During integration with infinite upper bound, I found that the result makes me doubtful. Then I checked it by changing the infinite upper bound with a large enough number compare to other numbers in the equation. I got a more sensible result. my question: 1. when should we not use this infinite bounds? 2. did I miss something here in my worksheet?
Hello, I need to find roots of a periodic equation by making initial guesses of x and assign the derived roots in "a". But, Mathcad is saying " the value must be a scalar". What does "scalar" in this case and how can I solve this? I also need to sort "a" after assigning. Thank you very much, Faisal
I had to revert back to using freeware after hitting this snag with Prime 4.0... I don't understand what the difficulty is at step 5. Troubleshooting further down the page was successful after using new variables, so it seems to be a problem with my variables... I even tried clearing the variables like my reference "Essential PTC Mathcad Prime 3.0" textbook suggests. Any help would be greatly appreciated in getting me back going...
The … is for me an animations tools in first line! And for you? Tell us please!
