Hi Has anyone done something similar  in mathcad that I can use as a guide to write a four fours solver in mathcad? A self learning automated solver is my goal.    

Hello, my question is if there is a way to find all the points given a vector Y1, for a function, without having to evaluate each one manually (as seen in my file with point 4.609 and finding the X1 = 0.677), that the vector Y1 will change values (but all within the range of vectors X and Y), Thank you.

Hello everyone   Attached to this post is a zip file with prime 3 sheet and an excel with the data. I need to fit this data using the following equation:   y = ax^2+bx+c   The solution I tried is not able to find an awnser.   Can anyone help me find a good fit to the data?

Hello,   I am designing a Steel Sheet Pile wall for a project and I'm having an issue with solve blocks not actually solving the equations in the "Given" area.   For this design, I am trying to determine my embedment depth to reach Sum of Forces = 0 and Sum of Moments = 0. I have initial guess values based on conservative estimates and was intending to have Mathcad solve for an exact solution.   The issue I'm having is that Mathcad will provide a solution, and then when I try to verify the solution, Sum of Forces does = 0, however Sum of Moments does not.   The conventional method I am basing my approach on is shown in the "Conventional" attachment and the actual site characteristics are shown in the "Project Site" attachment. These are purely for reference if there happen to be any Civil Engineers looking at this post.   Do you all have any ideas why this might be the case? I appreciate any help you can provide!   Thanks Riley

Hi, I am new to matlab and I wanted to know what are the different ways of creating .mat files as shown in the picture attached?   are these done from the command window? imported from excelt or text? both? any good explanation    What is an array, cell, structure, string?

  Using the .dft function in Prime 2.0,  I cannot figure out how to get Mathcad to generate the Fourier transform (F.T.) of a function which is centered about  the zero point (in the time domain).  Regardless of the actual values of the indices used for the array which represents the time-domain function, Mathcad seems to interpret the first point in the array as being at time zero.  So if I have a time-domain function that runs from t= -10 to t= +10, when Mathcad calculates the FT, it interprets the time domain function as running from t=0 to t=20.  This gives the correct frequency amplitudes but it does not produce the correct phase profile.  For example, if the time domain function is a rectangular pulse centered about t=0,  the phase of all the constituent frequencies should be 0 (i.e. the F.T. is “real”). However, the .dft function produces a phase profile that corresponds to a rectangular pulse centered at t=100, which is a completely diffe

Hi, I met the strange issue with scriptable component. I try to write a table with a hyperlink to excel file. Everything is OK without hyperlink note "link" If I add semicolon+"link", I get an unknown script error. Problem is in a semicolon. Hello, I'm trying to write a program that will look into a vector (for example vector below) and as an output will return only once each value inside the vector and assign it corresponding number i.e  t1=1, t2=2, t5=5, t7=7, t8=8, t18=18, t88=88   Thanks for help

Hi,   I'm trying to create a program that removes duplicate entries from an array (vector) in Mathcad. I have managed to write a program that converts all the duplicates into "null", but is there a way to get rid of the elements completely and get the "Result" array?  Thank you.

Hey all, I've got some strange issue I've never had before. I'm used to Mathcad15 or Prime2.0 so I'm rusty on 14's issues. I normally back-up files at the end of the day and I forgot this one. Well, long story short I spell-checked this 15 page sheet and was about to print it out and drop it in our network drive to back it up and the whole sheet compressed to one page! I've NEVER seen this! I'm at a loss about how to correct it. Any help would be MUCH appreciated! I've attached the sheet but be forewarned it is extremely slow and may crash MathCad so save anything YOU have open first!

Hi,    I would like to write a program that determines the maximum values per row in a i by j matrix.   I have written the program below, but I am struggling to get it to work automatically, without having to manually add in the number of columns in the max() function on line 3 - please see attached. Hi, I would like to integrate a function between a certain number of pairs of limits. The number of pairs is set by a variable, n.th. I'd then like to return the result as an n.th x 1 vector. Could anyone help please?   Please see attached.   Many thanks and kind regards

Hello,   I would like to multiply only certain numbers in a matrix. Only numbers lower than a certain variable.  Lets say I have a 1x5 matrix [23 12 89 44 8] and I want to multiply all numbers less than 30 (in the matrix) by 2.  New matrix would output the following:   [46 24 89 44 16]   Can someone point me in the right direction...   Thanks!
