Hi everybody,I am new in coding with the Mathcad. I am trying to code a model related to civil engineering (geotechnical engineering), but I have faced several problems. I think the problem is not that much hard, but I couldn't solve it. I wonder If somebody could take a look at it and give me some hints about that. I have attached my file as well as the picture of what I am trying to code. Thanks in advance.
Hi,I have a dropdown list in Mathcad. I have sections in it and it calls in some of the required section properties under it.Unfortunately whenever I close and reopen the file, the list jumps back to the very first item and forgets what I had chosen before.I have tried to protect the area but didn't help.Could anyone tell me how can I fix it to remember my choice? Thanks in advance,Viktoria
In Mathcad 15 page breaks are shown and it is possible to repaginate the document. That feature appears to be missing in MCD Prime 4.0. Am I missing something? In Mathcad 15 it is possible to align equations along the left document margin. That appears to be missing in MCD Prime 4.0.
Hello,I am using Prime 3.0. I want to export data from a trace in a plot into Excel. How can I do this?I can see one can import data from Excel, but what about exporting from Mathcad to Excel? Thanks in advancePascal
Hi Every oneCan any body Help me about this problem?I Have Attached main file which is done by MathCad Prime 4.0This is distributed load on a simple support beam and "V" and "M" are shear and moment, regardless of what is physical meaning of this parameters just as a mathematicsI do not know why M(x) does not return any answer while I can take answer in MathCAD 15 with same formulas!!I do not want to use Evaluate for first integral because it makes another problem when "a=0"Thanks in AdvanceRamakjavascript:;
Hi all,I have some problem in computing ODE in AdamsBDF.I want to use AdamsBDF function as below,S = AdamsBDF(initial, 0, 10^6, 10^10, D)But, when I try to use 'S' as above, I am getting an error as not enough memory for this operation. Is there any other way to increase the sampling interval.I attached my code below.
Hi, I had to change computers and my Mathcad 15 only loads 75%. I am trying to load onto a 64bit machine with Mathcad 15 M010. Is that the problem? Prime 3 loaded fine and is working but I need 15 to convert my old files.
How do I break up an expression so that it appears to be two lines?
HI, I just need some help to simplify Hz in a simple mathematical program.
Hello, I am new to Mathcad and am getting the error "unable to form derivative matrix" when using OdeSolve. I think I may not be able to use OdeSolve inline like I am doing, so I tried putting it outside of the solve block as well. Can anyone confirm this? And what should I do instead? I appreciate your help. I am re-posting this because I have changed the code since then thanks to help, but am still getting the same issue. The file is attached, and the screenshots are displayed below.
I am having difficulty with opening the attached file with my version of mathcad could some please open the attached file and print contents as pdf? Thanks

Hello, dear community!I am trying to find the problem with the resolution of these equations. They correspond to mass balances in CSTRs and a charge balance to determine pH. See attached spreadsheet.Best Regards,Baltasar
HiI'm calculating (programming) with nested arrays (MC15). I do two for loops, where the first is fixed in size, but the one inside this is dependent on the size of the nested parts in the array I use for the calculation. My problem is, that when I do this dependent sizing, I seems to work fine as long as the nested parts get larger, but if they are smaller than the largest nested part that have been calculated previously, the loop keeps this size, and fills in the "cells" which doesn't match the smaller part with the value from the larger part.I hope this not a too cryptic explanation of my problem. I've attached and example of what I'm trying to explain.
HiI have attached an mcdx file. I don't understand what the issue is when lambda*c is raised to the power of e. Please let me know a work around for this problem.Sriprakash
Hi everybody,I need some help with Mathcad, from some experienced users in solving a little math problem:Let\s assume a parameter which varies inside an interval and I need to to find the exact value for which a function of that parameter becomes minimum, let's say: - Variable x is in between 10..20, taking all values with 3 decimals- Based on the variable x, I'm calculating an error function which is supposed to be in between an interval -2<f(x)<2- I need the value of x for which my function f(x) satisfies the conditions described aboveThe above described problem is for a single variable function, but I would also need to do the same thing when I have a few initial parameters: x,y, z, each of them with a few decimals and with their own intervals of variations, and a function f(x,y,z) which again should satisfy a condition like -2<f(x,y,z)<2. So in conclusion, what I need is the Mathcad syntax for defining such variables (all numbers in a range with a certain precisio
At the last event "PTC LiveWorx Europe 2015" in November of 2015 it was presented a roadmap for the development of Mathcad Prime 4.0 and some future steps (themes) for Prime direction. Let's see what updates are planned for version 4.0 (now the release of version 4.0 is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2016 year) and is scheduled for subsequent releases after 4.0. PDF "PTC Mathcad Roadmap_2015" can be found in attachment. Here is a list of major improvements for Prime 4.0:Plot enhancements (embed 3rd party tool);Mathcad as an OLE container;Worksheet content protection (area protection/area locking);Copy multiple regions to clipboard;Equation wrapping.1. Plot enhancements: embed 3rd party tool to match PTC Mathcad 15.0 plots on first release.2. Mathcad as an OLE container: ability to embed applications as OLE objects within the worksheet.3. Content Protection: area protection/locking.4. Improved external app interoperability: copy multiple regions to MS Word.5. Equation wrapping: allow a
How to create 3-d (vertical) line thru the center of gravity? How can we more simple create the 1-st and 2-d (horisontal) lines?See please the Mathcad 15 sheet in attach. Thanks!
HiAttached is an mcdx file. I have an issue with the units. I'm expecting the units for fctm to be in MPa. But Mathcad does not seem to be in agreement. If I remove the 2/3 from the equation then the units are OK. Kindly help.Sriprakash
Hello!I'm new to fluid problems and was wondering of someone could point me in the right direction. My problem is essentially a syringe. If the pluger is pulled by a force (300kN) how much damping will it experience? Initially the plunger is at h = 0 and ends at h = 30 mm when the plunger is out of the cylinder. D1 and D2 = diameters
How does one restrict the daily bulletins so that one only gets them for the software one has.In my case that means Mathcad 15 only.Others might run several PTC software packages and therefore would want alerts for each. How do we filter out alerts for software we don't have please?

Hello Everyone. From : So the question is : Plotting one more point of intersection ? ( Re( e^(1i*x) - x^-1i ) and 0*x ) Thanks in advance for your time and help. Best Regards.
HelloI'm trying to make a simple program for road pavement design, in which the result of the first computation step is used for the second step, second to third, thir to fourth and so on.As attached is a sheet which shows what the program should do for 4 layered system, but I would like to make the program to work for n-layers.My tries are probably far from a working solution, so therefore I ask for help.
Hi everyone,I already asked a related question in this old thread. For a random (vibration) signal there are two important statistical values: the peak rate and the zero up crossing frequency. The first one I was able to compute using a the function localmax provided in the "Data Analysis Extension Pack". Now I would also need the zero up crossing frequency, that is the number of time the signal crosses the X-axis going up. To clarify here is an image from Wirsching, Random Vibration. The zero up crossing in the example are highlighted in yellow. Before I start writing a simple iterative program like for i=0 to npoints if x(i) <0 and x(i+1) >0 then zup=zup+1 endifnext i... I just wanted to ask if someone in the community knows some elegant and straightforward way, similar to the "localmax" function. That function has the advantage of providing the ability to give a window width (for noisy signals). Thanks a lotRegardsClaudi
