I have some parametric in motor torque calculation, for example: motor speed: 2000 Pulse/round, or 360 deg/r.but i can't find unit of "degree" or "deg/r" in MathCAD Prime 4.0. How to add costume unit, or how to give the unit deg/r to value?
Help 2.How to solve circle diagram problem by Mathcad ?Symbolic maximum problem.T. Tokoro.
Hello Everyone. From : To the question : Plotting the points of intersection on the graph ? Thanks in advance for your time and help.
How to set the height of header and footer, Every office program can adjust it, how to adjust it in MP3.0?Sometimes i can adjust all the equations to only one sheet if i can set the height of header and footer. The height of header and footer sometimes is too large for me.
Hello everyone,I am trying to find parameters of the set of differential equations. So, I solve st of dif equations by Odesolve (see attacehed) and then trying to minner coefficients a and Nt1 using experimental data Con and t11. Odeslove.pngThe system must at least work, but I have error at Minerr step. Could someone help me with this? Thank you, very much.
When i set the formula to "-In(t-0.75)+1.6", the green line will beyond the red line. Why my Pi graph is "-In(t-0.75)+1.1", not like the PTC Mathcad official graph shown in the following second picture?http://www.ptc.com/mathcad-software-blog/pi-day
Hi Could someone explain why I am getting different answers - 58 & 59 min ?
Hi guys,I keep getting an error on a formula, but the formula is just from one of my textbooks, so there isn't much I can change. I am wondering why mathcad keep giving me this error. See attachment
Hi can someone help me with hiding keywords in Prime 4 ?@
I graphed a line in the x y plane that begins at (-9,6) and stops at (2,4). This is because a college algebra book asked to consider the distance FROM P1 (-9,6) TO P2 (2,4). The authors then mention that the "midpoint formula is a bit more complex that it looks and is actualy a special case of a geometric theorem. Something about the ratios of the distances. Exploring this I then decided to use the mathcad software to create the two right triangles that would be associated with these three points. The point (answer) is P3 (-23/5,26/5). The reason I wanted to create these two right triangles is just to explore my ability to integrate the areas and compare the ratios. And I did it! My graph of the line that starts and stops at P1 and P2 is defined as f(x). To make the two triangles I wrote a program g(x) that uses inequalities and operators. In the placeholder for x and y however the g(x) is stated as g(a) and the x placeholder is x,a. I am not able to post a worksheet. But i
MathCAD 15 has a different idea of "trace" than MathCAD prime, and it is this difference that is preventing me and my group from transitioning to Prime. The way that trace worked in MathCAD 15, is when you had an x/y plot in front of you, you could right click on it, select trace, and then use your mouse to move the trace around the graph. Being able to use your mouse in this way is very powerful. This function is very heavily used by MathCAD users (before Prime), and the lack of this function is IMO the main drawback of Prime.Prime's UI before 4.0 was also too slow to use. It took me longer to complete designs in it relative to 15 because of the response time of the UI. Prime 4.0 feels faster, so hopefully this hurdle is now resolved. Actual computations in Prime were fast, but the UI was very slow.
Hi,If someone could please advise on the followings. Our company bought Mathcad Prime 3.0 licenses. One of our users (based in Britain) wants to know if Roark Toolkit is available in Mathcad Prime 3.0.e opened and tested, but did not see Roark Toolkit (or say this function) in it.Some suggestion in the internet indicates that Roark Toolkit was available in old Mathcad Prime, and we'll have to pay additional cost for getting it in Mathcad Prime 3.0.Is this true?If so, could someone please give a official link for all the information, including price, installation guide, how to buy it...etc?Thanks!/zhubk
I converted a Mathcad 15 file to Prime 4.0, and one of my 3D graph cannot be plotted in Prime 4.0, the message says: "the number of plotted points must be below 40,000".the only difference between the plot in Mathcad and Prime 4.0 is that, that I converted the one from Mathcad to Prime 4.0the one in Mathcad 15 looks just fine.Regards,Rogelio
Hi all,I am getting an error as all evaluations resulted in either an error or a complex resultwhen I try plot a 2D graph in which,x-axis ranges from 0.01 to 1y-axis is logarithmic.I attached my code below.Could you please tell me how to overcome this error ?y-axis must be logarithmic and x-axis is normal values ranging from 0.01 to 1.
Hi Everyonecan anybody help me about the problem in attached sheet? When Mathcad knows "X"is foot why it says this variable unit is not compatible and does not do the rest of calculation ?Thanks in advanceRamak-KSP ENG
I would like to generate many plots using a range of different parameter values. I did 10 in the attached document manually using Quickplot. Is there a way to do this more efficiently especially if I would like to look at a larger number of plots? Thanks for any help.
Hello everyone !For the cubic equation with real coeffs there are Cardano relations to find out roots. Or the use of trigonometric substitution.Do you know similar formulas for the case of complex coefficients ?Google is pointing to a paper in Soviet (now : Russian) Journal of Numerical Analysis & Mathematical Modelling, vol. 4(1991)/uncertain year/ (No. 2), p.315, which is out of my reach for the time being. Thank you & best regards, Liv.
Quien podría convertir un archivo de mathcad 15 a prime 3.0 ya que no puedo lograrlo,
I am trying to ingrate the moment of a beam to determine the displacement of the beam. I am have a hard time getting the evaluation of the displacement to calculate. Can anyone tell me why it takes several hours for the program to calculate the displacement on page 5? Is there a ways to make the calculation quicker? I am using mathcad 15.
MathCAD is too good. It's doing more than I really want it to do, particularly with some units.Today's problem is the pound force. MathCAD knows the definition of the pound force, and the problem is that when I want to keep something as a pound force, it instead inserts the definition of the pound force and cancels out everything that can be cancelled out. When I try multiplying out by the unit I want, it still does the same thing.I'm trying to use the spring constant k in my US standard formulae. Normally, k=force/distance, or lbf/ft. Since the definition of the pound-force includes feet (I think it's something like ft*lb/s^2), then MathCAD automatically cancels out the feet and leaves me with s^2/lb, which makes no sense in the context of what I'm trying to do.How can I get MathCAD to just mind its own business and leave lbm as lbm? I can't seem to find a way to redefine the built-in lbm and I'm not certain I want to do that anyways.(I understand that this sort of topic is well-discu
I downloaded 4.0 express and turned on the 30 day full version trial. (Because it will probably take IT a month to upgrade our license server). The good:- It's released.- When I print or pdf, collapsible areas don't seem to shift to the left anymore. I still lose the left edge of the box, but that's still a vast improvement. - Occasionally I couldn't label a constant a constant to get it's font to change to accordingly. It still just showed as a variable. That seems to be resolved.- When i switch between tabs it seems to remember where it's at. Before it would always jump back up to the top.- Protected areas. Probably my favorite upgrade. - OLE. useful but not really crucial.- Line breaking. But see my exception below. - Occassionally 3.1 would freeze and I'd have to click a separate window for it to regain it's brain. So far I haven't seen that. (But I'll keep looking as it's intermittent)The bad:The following bug
Hello sir,I have a big issue with the attached mathcad file, I tried to open it several times but as soon as it open it closes againPlease if some one could help me to open this important fileI appreciate your assistance
Nothing to do with Mathcad, but I know some of you enjoy a good challenge. And I'm stumped. Here's the situation: Two circles of different diameters, one vertically offset a distance e from the other. Vanes of thickness t are centered in the smaller circle. The vane are 90 degrees from each other. What are the top and bottom colored areas? I'll gladly take any hints on how you'd do it.Thanks!
Hello,I want to calculate dynamic deflection of the worm in a worm drive. The formula given in my book does not seem to work in Mathcad Prime 3.0.In the book there is no multiplier (*) printed after tan^2 and cos^2. There is just empty space. I did change the formula around in all kinds of ways.I put tan inside parenthesis like (tan)^2, or (tan^2*(gamma+Q)), or (tan(gamma+Q)^2) but nothing works. What do I do wrong? Thanks maurits
