My Prime 2 (student academic version) had stopped working. Its on my computer which is the backup now used predominantly. It had a downloaded Windchill ProductPoint Client Manager, then reloaded Prime 2, and had the latest license email dat file placed in the same folder as the drive the program is installed in, and also tired with the older license dat file. Failed. I get an error message each time that changes its number its 'An Unhandled exception occured on the dispatcher thread. See C:\ProgramData\PTC\Mathcad Prime\Logs\Mathcad Prime_Exception_20160914_214823.log. Academic license so please help. I need to get it running asap. If you are with PTC please help also I had spent hours with different configurations.
The attached Mathcad prime 3.1 file and jpg is attempting to make a vector using a counter but I get the error as shown. Why does Prime not let me make the results a vector? My ultimate goal is to find local and global max/min of the resulting vector. Also, is there a way to display the vectors horizontally? The transpose command doesn't appear to work on i.
Hi I do not understand why there is a issue with this simple plot with respect "value must be a real number". Any suggestions?
Hello,I am trying to do a 3d plot of an m x n matrix. I know that each point is plotted as an elevation on the z axe versus its respecctive row (x axis) and column y axis index. The values in the matrix are very diffrent, i mean i have -62 1.2 1 and 5.7 *10^9, and i don't find for example the poin (1,1,-62) on the plot. Is it because the max values are so diffrent from the min values? Thank you
Can someone at PTC explain to us why Mathsoft that had a revenue of only $20 million was able to deliver a Mathcad product that is superior in just about everway to Mathcad Prime 3.1? If you recall, before PTC purchased Mathsoft for $62 million (yes they got a bargain) we had a Mathcad version with scriptable objects, Mathcad web server, flexible plotting with grid lines and dual y, legends and so on, the choice of solvers in the solve blocks, a faster interface, less ugly solve blocks, and the ability to save in a MS Word format. Probably the only thing missing was the units in solve blocks and auto numbering of equations as is done in Maple. Now we are told that probably not even version 5 of Mathcad will not have all these misting features That we had ten years ago. According to what I read PTC has revenues of 1.5 Billion per year. So the real question that one has to ask is how can a company 75 times the size of the original Mathsoft be so incompetent? What did happen to the origi
I am able to have units show up correctly in the y-axis but when I put seconds in the x-axis, it adds 1/s to it. Does the x-axis have to remain unitless?
Hello,Could someone please explain how equation 1 is arrived at, in the attached Mathcad file. The Simulation Hypothesis posits that we are living in a computer simulation writen by our posthuman (ie. in the far future) selves. The statistical analysis is based on the following (taken from the Abstract of the paper in the Reference, at the end of the Mathcad document):This paper argues that at least one of the following propositions is true: (1) the human species is very likely to go extinct before reaching a “posthuman” stage; (2) any posthuman civilization is extremely unlikely to run a significant number of simulations of their evolutionary history (or variations thereof); (3) we are almost certainly living in a computer simulation. It follows that the belief that there is a significant chance that we will one day become posthumans who run ancestor-simulations is false, unless we are currently living in a simulation.Thanks.Peter[PS: my opologies for the web URL, (in the Reference of
January 12, 2016: I now have Mathcad 15, version 045 on two different home machines. One machine is running a temporary trial version so as not to mess with licensing issues. I have previously reported this problem: Cannot do a copy of a surface plot or a print of a surface plot without getting a blue screen message "SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION (win32kbase.sys)". This happens on two different computers, both running windows 10. It began to be a problem about a month ago. I notice that version 045 only mentions windows 8 as compatible. Two different machines running the same level of Mathcad 15 version 045 and also running the same version of windows 10. Neither machine can print surface or vector plots nor can those plots be copied from the work page without getting the major blue screen crash. I propose that this is a software problem in Mathcad and not in Windows 10?? In other words, the people who build Windows 10 at Microsoft are not likely to change their software unless Mathca
Please help with writing a program to do the following. Also, if "A" matrix is n rows, "B" matrix will always be n x n.
We are trying to transfer our Mathcad license to another computer in the office. We have succeeded to get a CPU ID as appears in the attaached snapshot. Please assist us on how should we complete the licesnse transfer procedure from this point. Thanks in advance,Eyal Cohen, eviathan Engineers.
Hi.¿There are a way to catch the values for this kind of lsolve? Thanks in advance.Alvaro.
Using the for programming expression in "for each" mode is a useful mode when iterating over an array and the index of an element is not a concern. The mode works under the numeric processor when used in a free-standing program and inside a function. However, when using the symbolic processor, the mode only works in a free-standing program and not in a function (where it is much more useful). This is a long standing error in Mathcad. Has it been fixed in Prime? Can it be fixed in the next Mathcad 15 update?Stuart
Why I cannot create a counter plot - see please the picture and the Mathcad Prime 3.0 file in attach. In Mathcad 15 no problem - see please One minimize problem - numerical and symbolical solutions
Hi,I want to have several parameters take on different values depening on material selection. I have been unable to use text in if statements so far. The best would be if the user could select the materials from a set of selections. So far I have done it bu using an embedded excel sheet and doing the input in there, but I am not happy about it. Do anyone have an elegant solution for this? For example:Material="S355"a=2b=3c=4Material="316L"a=0.5b=1c=5etc...any help is much appreciated.
I had MathCAD 3.0 installed and working. When it stopped doing so I updated to 3.1 but the problem persists. The program starts up, displays the splash screen for ages and then dies. Windows reports that the program is not working and my .NET debugger reports that there was an unhandled exception but doesn't tell me what it is. It is obviously fairly likely to be caused by a change in my software environment which unfortunately I have very little control over as the company's IT policy require it to be almost completely locked down. Equally MathCAD ought to be at the very least trapping exceptions as part of good programming practise. Any ideas as to the cause of the problem or, even better, a fix?
Is there a compatibility issue with embedding Excel worksheets in Prime 3.0?When I open an existing Prime worksheet with Excel Component embedded (from previous session) I get the message "Excel is busy: can't calculate. Make sure that cells are not being edited in Excel and try again in a few seconds." even though no Excel files are open. I open & checked Windows Task Manager and no Excel process are running. This just started when I was upgraded to the latest version of M/S Office.
When trying to create some test matrices in Mathcad 15 for the functions in the attached worksheet, I found that I couldn't create a nested array at worksheet level by setting one element of a matrix to be a matrix. It's fine if I do it inside a program or if I manually create such an array. Is this a known issue? Does it still exist in the latest version of Mathcad 15?Thanks,Stuart
Why I'm getting different results for the sum in the attached worksheet with the symbolic and numeric evaluations ?I think I've made somewhere a mistake..., but I cannot find where.Probably I am so far not able to see the forest behind the tree...Many thanks for help, Liv. The worksheet was saved in Mcd11, but same results in Mcd15.

Is there a version of Imagination Engineer LE that works with Mathcad version 14
Hello to all,I have to calculate equations for different locations, where the equations are the same but the variable entry data will change per locations.I would like to export the data per each calculation file to a master file where I can put them together in just one graph. Is there any way to do this?thank you in advance,Rogelio
Im new to mathcad and am embarrassed I can't figure this out on my own. I have a function, f(x)=A*sin(theta) that gives me an answer, however I need to set the function equal to zero after 130degrees. On paper it looks like:f(x)=A*sin(theta) if theta <= 130 degrees 0 if theta > 130 degreesAny help or even a link to a another post (I have looked and can't find one though) would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I am facing unit conversion problem while calculating erosion velocity in mathcad. Any guidance.
Hello allI am sorry to say that this problem is not about a exciting, complex and never seen before math problem. It is more of a simple interface problem. I have included a document that describes the issue, but the essence of it is that i want to be able to define a variable as an equation. More specifics in the document. Many thanks /Mürer
I am trieing to solve one minimize problem.Numerical is OK - see please the picture and the Mathcad 15 sheet in attach. But numerical - problems - see please two sheets (15 and Prime 3.1) in attach.Any help please. The problem of the race (from point 1 to point 4) on the lawn, plowing and asphaltorA a ray of light in a three-layer plate
