Hello,I am trying to write a programme in Mathcad Prime 3.1. I am using the programme to compute the global stiffness matrices of bars in a structural system (just a 6x6 matrix). However Mathcad is returning an error message saying that the expression is too large to be calculated (see attached image). Surely Mathcad shouldn't have any trouble with such an expression. It was outputting correct values until the 4th row at which point it started returning this message.Has anyone encountered this before and know how to work around it?Cheers,Mike

Hey guys, due to my complicated and long Calculation i need to perform certain rowbreaks, so that i can print it on "A4" otherwise i would need "A2" format. Now i have the problem that i dont know how i can perform a "Rowbrake"As seen in attached picture...Is that possible?Thx guys
I'm trying to accomplish the following. I want to symbolically show calculations along the way to enable basic troubleshooting. Easy enough, but in the later equations I only want the prior results to be shown, while mathcad prime continues to plop in the whole equation even if it's been evaluated. Here's my very simple sample. I'd like to simplify the expression for Ptot by showing the previous results. But I can't seem to get there easily. File attached. Thanks!
This is a process controls question.I am having an issue with creating a program that will place various values into a function while maintaining a variable in the function.Screenshot of what I have written:As you can see, it is only doing the first value for Kc here. I need to be able to call the individual elements of the matrix to graph them. I did a long hand version of this that has the graph attached below to kind of give an idea of what I am after.Of course, I am taking an inverse laplace after the fact as well. Should that also be included into the code or will it be easier to do that after the fact?Any help here would be appreciated, I am not sure what I am missing here...
Hello,Is there a maximum number of nested while loops allowed in Prime 3.1?Thank you,Ken
A right file is attached Dear all,Now I am trying to solve an ODE with double integral operation. I think I have problem with units in the ODE. Could anyone help me? Thank you very much.Regards,Sungyeop
I tested sin function in Mathcad 3.1 and get the following results. Can anybody explain sin function behaviour ?MH

Dear all,I'm trying to solve a PDE that consists of erfc(x) and exp(x^2) like the file attached below, which is simply a poisson's equation.Since it has an unknown boundary condition, F electric field at position x=0, I tried 'minerr(F)' type resolution with F declared beforehand by initial guess.Unfortunatlely, it keeps saying that F in the 'miners' syntax has not been defined.Could anyone can help me?Thank you in advance for your help.Sung
I am trying to make a comprehensive UNIFAC model program and I have it running, except for the user to be able to use this program for any size mixture system, they must edit the component matrices manually. What I want my program to be able to do is, after the user inputs the number of components, a vector is automatically output of the correct size where the user can input the mole fractions of each of the components. Additionally, I need to make a matrix that works in a similar fashion for the user to input the number each type of subgroup is present within each type of molecule present within the mixture.
To organize my Mathcad prime 3.1 solutions, I need to get the filename as a string inside the worksheet itself. How can I get this?
I plotted 24 graphs, but each picture dimension is slightly different, as you can see below. I would have had to copy the first and paste it each time to plot the other graphs. But having not done so, it would be very useful, in addition to the alignment tools, also a "same size" tool. And I wonder why it is missing?
I'm translated my best!
Is it an error in Prime?
Currently can solve a set of equations with the solve block. This works now only because I manualy copy the summation outcome(grey area) in the solve block (green area) and set it equal to zero. If I just enter the summation of forces/moments and set it equal to zero I won't get any result presented(red highlighted). SO what goes wrong/what should I do to not have to copy the outcome every time manualy in the solve block. My file is
Hello, everyone,I met with a problem of fitting data of adsorption experiments (3 parameters - P1,P2 and P3(or beta) ), and I did it with Minerr function, but the results near 0 are needed to be improved. Could anyone teach me?the results given by Orgin is shown below.the mathcad file (ver. 11) is also attached
I am trying to plot the curves of the properties of monoethylene glycol solutions in water, working from the parametric equations given in M. Conde Engineering "Properties of Working Fluids - Brines" (http://www.mrc-eng.com/Downloads/Brine%20Properties.pdf). Ultimately, I want to show the curves cut off properly at the freezing point line, as in the Conde document, and also to be able to show index lines for a specific temperature and glycol concentration. But I am struggling to get even the curves to plot correctly. If I set up the equations using range variables for glycol concentration and temperature I get the right sort of graph but with 'flyback' lines between each curve. Here's an example, for the dynamic viscosity; the various curves are for 0%, 10%..60% glycol in water.I have found the various discussions here on plotting families of curves and waterfall curves. I am trying to follow the method illustrated by Valery Ochkov in his example sheet 2D_Plot_y_x_a.xmcdz, but I am not
Now I find that I cannot post a Mathcad file with an XML extension. It does not come up and I am told it has no style elements associated with it. Any help here would be appreciated
just consider the following matrix I want it in reverse , this way - How can i do this in math cad prime 3.1 ???
You will learn how to create a function that returns thermophysical properties of working fluids, heat transfer and energy materials using interpolation and smoothing. You will also learn what a cloud function for the thermal calculations is.Mathcad 15 and Mathcad Prime 3 sheets of the study in attach.
I'm attaching a prime 3.1 file . In which i tried to interpolate two sets of data to make a smooth curve like Excel plotting . But the curve is not so smooth , like what I'm expecting .
