Hi,I trying to simplify a Dimensional Analisys (by Szirtes)It is nothing important but I wonder if it possible in Mathcad.It seems that in Maple it easy, but Mathcad has still more friendly interface.wzel I enclose file but unfortunately in Mathcad Prime 3.1

I was looking at a worksheet with a rational exponent and it struck me once too often that it looks rather ugly as presented by default, plus the particular instance caused me a moment or two trying to work out what exactly was being divided.Would it be possible to add an option for a Division Slash ( /) as default and to replace the Division Sign (÷) (as per the ISO 80000-2)?Stuart÷

Hi All,Recently we starting using MathCad.  Our team made several math calculations in MathCad.  Then we selected all the calculations and copied then pasted them into a Word document as a image.  Part of the image was cut off (we are not sure why).  Is there a better way to import MathCad calculations to Word?  Thank You in advance for any help. I've worked out, long hand, how to determine the desired equations for a cycloidal motion profile of cam I'm going to use as a discussion example.I'd like to use Mathcad to integrate these equations for me, giving it boundary conditions and solving for the integration constants, but I keep running around in circles trying to figure out the syntax to do so.I've included the worksheet I'm using, and would greatly appreciate insight into how to get Mathcad to do this symbolic integration for me. The motion of this cam says there will be dwell at the beginning and end. The initial and ending velocity, acceleration, and position should be zero (these are my boundary conditions).

So is it possible to let Mathcad represent the result in terms of even and odd cases?Right now I only know to define n:=0,1..100 (for example)Then write the complex equation and Mathcad will give a 100 by 1 vector (half of which are 1 and the other half are -1)The result is not conciseThank you in advance.Shawn

Hi..I have done design in Mathcad Prime 2.0 and trying to integrate it in Creo 2.0 but it is getting very slow.Also once we integrate mathcad in creo then at the time of regenerate creo model, mathcad sheet also get run and either computer goes in hang mode or takes lot of time.So please can anybody having any solution on this to reduce time.Thanks,Prashant Pandarkar

Hey!So i have two questions:1) Is there a function in MathCAD that i can assign to a certain part of an equation so the program would take it into account ONLY if its value is positive.As if when Mp(x) is negative, given the value of x, i would like MathCAD to only sum up the other two parts and leave out Mp(x).2) I need to make a (x;y) graph, where the value of M(x) is always 0, but i dont' know how to. Is there a way?In this equation, M(x) is bending moment in an arc thats shape is given with (x;y) coordinates. I need to graph the hypothetical shape of this arc, where bending moment equals 0 everywhere along the arc.I also attached the .xmcd file, just in case.English is not my first language so please tell me if i didn't make myself clear enough.Thank you in advance!

Thermal Engineering studies with Excel, Mathcad and Internet

Once I add units to the variable, the plot value is off by 386. If I change the units to lb/in^2 the result is correct. However, the units for pressure are NOT lb mass. I tweaked settings in Tools/Worksheet Options but I have not found the correct combination.What did I miss?

Hi all,I was seeing some strange inconsistencies between sheets when attempting to evaluate expressions symbolically.  After some time I traced the inconsistency back to the "point" shown in the attached sheet.The attached sheet shows what I expect to see.  After evaluating a function and assigning the result to a variable, the symbolic evaluation shows the result.However, in a different worksheet, I see the following:For some reason, Mathcad is presenting the result as the original function.  I'll post the problem sheet if necessary, but as you can see here, Mathcad has already found a numeric solution and assigned it to a variable, and has even managed to display it when called up again.  But when I use the symbolic evaluation on it, it brings up the whole function.  But in the attached worksheet, it does not.Any ideas why this happens?  Or at least, why the difference between worksheets?Any advice is greatly appreciated.

HelloI tried installing on my new computer PTC Mathcad Prime 3.1 on win 8.1I went through installation and all went fine and it's said it completedbut when i searched for the software it wasn't exists on start->apps and also add/remove software.only the diagnostic tool was installed.when i searched for it on hard-disk i found folder in program files PTC\Mathcad Prime 3.1 but it contain only one file mathcad.p.xml under PTC\Mathcad Prime 3.1\bin\pim\xmlso i tried reinstall but the installation software said that everything is already installed and suggested only to "update from M030"I proceed with the so called update which finished successfully but again the software cannot be found.maybe i should delete all file related and registery but i wanna be sure i dont do any harmsomebody have a suggestion how to do fresh install?thank you,אור הירשפלדOr HirshfeldMechatronic EngineerSK- Electronikail.linkedin.com/in/orhirshfeld
