I purchased and installed Mathcad Prime 12. However, I now understand that, because I am using a Dutch Windows 11 OS, Mathcad does not start. First of all, I find it unbelievable that PTC does not mention this very clearly beforehand, but that you are only confronted with this after purchasing. What really makes matters worse is that, although you start from and with the English website, you are redirected during the installation process to a Korean website, which is unreadable. So now I am stuck with a Mathcad version that I paid for and for which the 1-year period has already started, but which I cannot use. I would like this situation to be resolved ASAP.
Many of my Mathcad worksheets are large (50+ pages). As the worksheets get larger, the screen refresh rate becomes so slow when using the drag slider bar that scrolling through the worksheet becomes very difficult. This has always been key source of frustration when using Mathcad for large models. I had been working on a large worksheet for a bit after upgrading to Mathcad 12 when I realized that the scrolling was as responsive as any Microsoft Word document – very smooth with no noticeable lag up to any reasonable scroll rate! That was not one of the explicitly stated new features in Mathcad 12 – so I didn’t notice it immediately (sometimes you don’t notice the things that just work the way you’d expect them to work). I really appreciate some of the other enhancements in the Prime 12 release like Find/Replace with subscripted variables (another large worksheet issue) and the enhancements for native plots, but the scrolling improvement ranks near the top!
i cannot run the program. I am stuck in an obtain license loop. I am sure there is a way..
Please help me what am i doing wrong?Mathcad Prime 11.0.1.0
Hi,I am using root function to solve a function for different variables (variables are vectors) but some of these values don’t converge as there is no solution. How can I skip these values that don’t converge and make a table for those values and solve the rest? I have attached the MathCAD zip file. Thank you!!!

I recently purchased a student licence for Mathcad Prime 12. After download, unzipping and installation, when I try to open the app, it automaticly crashes. After analyzing it with Eventviewer it seems that the app cannot locate resource 'worksheetresources.xaml'.What can I do about it?
I am using Mathcad Prime Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.1.0The attached file crashes every time I change 'k'.Here are the errors that I facedNo warning. It just shuts itself down.
Hello,I have tried to upload the mathcad file, but it does not allow me. The following was working in mathcad 15, but it does not evaluate in prime Thanks,Sam
Hello!A new year and a new crash unfortunately.I was working with this document and saved it. The next day when opening it i just get "The file type is not supported".Can it be recovered? Would help alot 🙂I attached the failing document and a log fileKind regards, TomPrime;7.0;FileNotSupported;Crash;MathcadPrime
Hi there, I'm receiving the error "file type not supported" when trying to open an old mathcad file. I've attached the file, could you please assist.
I am currently running the trial version of Mathcad Prime 11.0.1.0 (I think only a few days left) to evaluate its capabilities for solving multiple equations with multiple unknowns. I want to verify that it will produce the results that I need before purchasing the software. I have run into a problem getting Mathcad to solve the system equations symbolically. I have looked around the internet for community information on this aspect of Mathcad but have not found anything that addresses my specific topic. The problem to which is seek a solution arises when modeling the impact between two bodies. Using the impulse-momentum formulation of Newton's 2nd law gives me 6 equations and six unknowns with a point mass (no rotational inertia) impacting a point mass. I put this system into Mathcad and used the solve feature and it produced the desired result. My file is attached. You will see that I took the solution equations Mathcad produced and ported them over to calculate the numeri
Mathcad Prime 10 A few years ago, I found this great Mathcad wrapper (GitHub - usnistgov/REFPROP-wrappers: Wrappers around NIST REFPROP for languages such as Python, MATLAB, etc.) for NIST REFPROP 10 where I can call properties using a script. This has been a game changer for me. The issue is that not all fluids that I need are available to me, (DMAc or MMA for example) in REFPROP.Does anyone know of a DIPPR/Diadem Mathcad wrapper out there that works well? Thanks
Hi, I have been trying to get this non-linear gear dynamics system of ODE's to solve but for the life of me cannot seem to correct the errors. The attached sheet has several attempts at the end to write the equations and initial conditions in different formats but all give "too few initial conditions" or a"floating point error". Like most programming errors its probably glaringly simple!Any assistance would be appreciated.Regards,Ross
New to PTC community but long time user of mathcad. I need to get the Roarks formula's for stress and strain ebook but as best I can tell from the forums it is no longer provided with mathcad AND it's not available on the forums for download (or on the web as best I can tell). Is this correct? TIA
I want an algorithm that generates the function [a,b,c}=unique(Y) although there are forums what I need is for it to be only with structural control sequences if else for while etc but not advanced functions of either Matlab or from mathcad since when you want to replicate the function elsewhere it is complicated, it would be appreciated if you have a way to do it What would the mathcad programming of this algorithm be like as it is in the image so it is easier to carry out the function?
Hi there!I 'm trying to master the slider advanced control option to see how my goal function will be changed. On the PTC support page, I have found only the 2-axis plot sample:https://support.ptc.com/help/mathcad/r10.0/en/index.html#page/PTC_Mathcad_Help/example_slider.html#wwID0EIKIPB It looks like the upgraded version of Prime 10.0.0 probably has some bugs, or it is impossible to obtain such an option.I've attached the function sample (Prime 10.0.0), which I'd like to observe using the advanced control button (slider).Any advice or assistance will be appreciated.
We have a large number of installed users that use Mathcad 15 on a regular basis. Just recently, a few have been noticing that selecting File|Save from the main menu is NOT saving the updates to their files. You can imagine our concern. It's intermittent and I cannot reproduce it myself on my desktop, but I'm hearing it from enough of our users that I think it's real. It could very well be something to do with our environment and not be a Mathcad issue at all, but it is concerning. We're running Mathcad 15 M045 and one of the keys is that the attempted save it to a network drive, not a physical drive on the desktop machine. Has anyone by any chance run across anything similar? Thanks!
I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Just noticed that Mathcad 15.0 M050, released specifically for Windows 10, has an odd printing issue. To PCL printers and PDF files, it appears that the font characters are all using a negative fixed character spacing on the order of -0.01 to -0.06. This "bunches" up the characters and pushes them all toward the left. I thought my eyes were going buggy because it is subtle, but when I print and examine a PDF, this negative character spacing is easy to analyze. Negative kerning is used for type-setting, but not uniformly on every character. It doesn't seem to matter which printer or which font or font size I use. I do not see this behavior with M045 on Windows 7. I don't know yet if it's a Mathcad issue or a Windows 10 issue (although all other apps print just fine). .NET maybe? I have a ticket open with PTC, but wondered if anyone else is seeing this, or has a clue as to wh
I normaly use odesolve in a solve block. However, I.m struggling to learn how to use the other ODE solvers with units. I asked AI to provide an example. Sadly, the AI example also failed. Typical (cryptic error messages: Mathcad Prime 11 file attached.
Attempting to use a range to help determine a solve block but am struggling to get this function to work. Any ideas on how to debug this issue? See attached image.
I have bought a license for mathcad but i have not received anything from PTC. I am not able to do anything and PTC are completely unreachable by phone nor the global support mail.I need to activate my account which is not possible since i have not received anything from PTC.
I am using Mathcad Release 15.0 and DatecodeM045One user trying to open a DataFiles Folder .dat file and when they click Load Data nothing happens. It will not populate the Project Name, Wall No, or any of the other project information that the .dat file contains. However, the same project file works for every other user. Even on the same existing machine. We believed this would be windows profile specific issue but we completely blew the users profile away and had them log back in to create new profile with the same results. While I understand this product is end of life, we still have certain FDOT (Florida DOT) projects that they rely on us using this until the tools this old product provide can be resolved by new versions. We are sincerely hoping you may have suggestions and options for similar issues from past that you can provide input on.Here are the errors that I facedProject Information from .dat file will simply just not load for this one user only.
I am solving a system of 1D steady ODEs in Mathcad using RK4. The system works correctly until I add a heat transfer term representing two-way coupling between a gas phase and injected droplets. When this term is included, the solver no longer outputs results and reports that the gradient matrix must be scalar or a matrix. The gas stagnation temperature gradient depends on Reynolds number, Nusselt number and a convective heat transfer coefficient that is itself a function of the ODE variables, which vary along z (length of nozzle)All other gradients (Mach, pressure, velocity, etc.) are functions of the same state vector and work correctly when the heat term is removed. I suspect I am incorrectly defining a function within the gradient matrix or using If else wrong.Any help would be appreciated, as I'm going round in circles.below is screenshot of part of code: Thanks very much
GreetingsI have a rather strange question, with topic that some people might consider insignificant and unimportant, but this particular function that Im making will probably be used numerous times in a single worksheet. For that reason Im trying to optimize almost every function in my file as much as possible. Ofcourse I dont expect a detailed answer with testing results etc, but rather your thoughts on this topic. In this case, I need to determine in which region of IAPWS-IF97 (formulation for thermodynamic properties of water) the point lies on a pressure-temperature plot.P-T Diagram, Validity range of IF-97So, here is the question itself: wich model of (p,T) function would be faster and easier to calculate (e.g. on a low-spec hardware), the one with separated IF`s, or the one where IF`s combined with usage of multiple "and (˄)" and "or (˅)"?And will the result be different in Mathcad Prime?Model 1Model 2Functions and constants used (for clarification, in case you are interested)ps(T
