To whom it may concern.

hello,my name is Assaf and I'm a new user of mathcad.I've noticed that if I add an image to a mathcad 14 file, as I reopen the file it is corrupted, see at the end of the attached file.did anyone encouter such a problem? note:I'm adding the image with Ctrl+C Ctrl+V

I bought a textbook that came with an unused CD of Mathcad 15 M010; never used MathCad but it seemed interesting. Tried installing it on my Windows 10 laptop; it told me I was running Windows XP. Followed directions found here to fix that; it apparently installed correctly and took the product code,, so I assume I have a license. However when I try to launch the program nothing happens. Things I've tried so far:1) run as an administrator2) run in Windows 7 compatibility mode3) uninstall and reinstallThe only thing that has any effect at all is running in administrator mode, which gives me a splash screen that says "Do you want this software from an unknown publisher to make changes on your computer?" but nothing further happens after that. This isn't a desperate situation; I'm not trying to use the software for work or school, but I wouldn't mid it if it would work.

A spherical lens - where is a focus? Is it a point, or we must have not spherical surfaces for a point?One problem for Mathcad!

Hi,I am having a slight issue regarding font size in Prime 3.1. Please see the attached screenshot. It seems that when I am using in-line maths in a text region my text size gets muddled up. I have text size set to 10 point, however after placing in-line maths for some reason the text size changes itself to 11 point, meaning that I have to manually go back and adjust all my font sizes You can see in the screenshot that I placed the in-line maths expression gamma_G:=1.50 then the following text 'Reduction factor' is now 11 point.Has anyone else experienced this issue and know a fix? Thanks

I’m a long term user of Mathcad, and have purchased a number of upgrades.  Recently, I had computer problems and am reinstalling.  My Mathcad 11 upgrade reinstallation was successful, but I could not activate automatically.  I don’t know if the problem occurred because I have an old product or was not connected to the internet at that time.  I could not find an activation link, so could not try again.

HelloThe note is may not be in the good topic.I make a discovery lately, when I work at the same time withMathCadPrime 3.1 and Adobe Acrobat X Pro open on the screen, MathCad makes me unstable and crashes me Adobe.Just that I close MathCad so that I can again normally used Adobe.This phenomenon is it known?Kind regards.Denis.

Error message = The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.  I have MathCAD 14 that I am trying to load on a new computer and although it loads, it can't find a license and I HAVE BEEN ON HOLD WITH PTC OVER 58 MINUTES. I am very worried about being able to access my worksheets if I delete MathCAD from the old computer before it get it working on this new one. Any experiences? I can't even get eSupport because apparently that is only for paying maintenance contract holders. I could understand if it were an execution thing, but I can't even get the damn thing to open! Yes, I am frustrated beyond belief and can't get a soul on the phone, Thanks, PTC!

  The power of Mathcad in solving very complicated problems in variousengineering fields, is very well known. To the best of my knowledge,industrial control simulation using ladder network of PLC's is not muchaddressed and therfore, this worksheet will demonstrate the simulationof a control system using Mathcad 15 M10 making use of the controlVBScript. One point worth mentioning is the Timer control which is veryimportant in various control systems. The control will be activated onceit is clicked and therfore, I have used the Timer in loop to create therequired time delay. I found that a loop of 10^6 will give very near 1 secand multiple of of this value i.e,say, 5*10^6 will give 5 sec. The motor isconnected direct on line (DOL) via contactor which have some (NC)and (NO) contacts. On start up the worksheet the Start/Stop and theTemp.LimitSwitch buttons should be activated first. Hi,We just upgraded to Excel 2013 this week and the first casualty of the change was Mathcad 15. While I can embed the Mathcad template in Excel sheet, I don't know how to pass the variables from Excel to Mathcad. When I was using Excel 2003, I used to just name the cells as variables adn then assign them as in0. in1 etc usign the toolbar attached towards right hand side. But I can't see that toolbar in Excel 2013 now.Thoughts?ThanksOmkar

I am trying to create a vector field plot following the instruction on the Mathcad 15 help.I used the example for the case of two matrices.  But the matrices have a suffix (I used 3 and 2 above respectively), this suffix number is not explained on the example for the Mathcad 15 help.Can someone tell me what the suffixes mean?thank you in advance,Rogelio

Is there a possibility to  reset a slider to a specific value between min/max-range (without closing and re-opening the document), e. g. by pressing a button?If yes, how would the script of the button and the slider look like, for example if the slider range was from 0 to 10 and the initial value (after reset) would be "3"...?

What does having three zeros ans a solution to a problem with five equations and five unknowns.Is this problem really divergent?  These are measured spring stiffness values by a series of tests so that tweaking the values is completely acceptable within reasonable bounds.Than you,Eric

Hello,I've been using a 30 day trial version of Mathcad 3.1 at school. After this trial version expired I bought a license code from our teacher. He bought a bunch of licences wholesale I guess back when 3.0 was still the bomb. The code I got consists of 14 positions, then 2 blocks of 4 positions. So it looks like this: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx I can't figure out where to download the older version 3.0. Could I use the above code for 3.1 as well? Thanksmaurits

Hi everyone,In the attached Excel sheet vba is used to feed input from the worksheet "input" to the embedded Mathcad 15 sheet on the worksheet "stability - mathcad". The result from the Mathcad sheet is written to the worksheet "Results".Sometimes the code works fine, but most of the time the following errors are prompted (in order of appearance):12 3It appears to me that the embedded Mathcad 15 sheet is having an error which causes Excel to crash. From the "Server Busy"-error I would assume that it has some kind of error with finding the license server.Does anyone have a solution to fix my vba script so that these errors will not appear?
