Hello everyone,In the attached file i have two programs r and q.program 'r' arranges the bars in one layer of beam cross section and 'q' is for the second layer.Here the number of layers are decided based on 'gqo' values.If they are positive, one layer of the bars are sufficient, i have to repeate the proceedure until it is positive (which means i have to arrange the bars in several layers).How can i automate y1....yn, d1....dn, n1.....nn, so that one program is sufficient to give the results for the bars in several layers. (y1,y2), (d1,d2), (n1,n2) belongs to first layer, (y3,y4).... for second layer, (y5,y6) for third layer and soo on.Attached mathcad 10 file.

Hello, I saw the older posts from 2013 and 2011, I think it is time to rethink and provide business and institution solutions to alternative operating systems. I've been working on moving all our functionality over to Linux as a cost saving and security measure. And MathCAD is being a bit of a thorn. I have not been able to install it through Bottles and SMath is neither on Flathub nor on Arch yet and we have the MathCAD licenses already. I have colleagues at other companies also working on moving things over. A lot is up to software developers to do the last support part. As we already want to use the software. Alvast bedankt. ps the KBA is ridiculous, having to login just to be informed that there is no support. CS328285

I have the step by step hand calculations for this type of problem but I really would like to learn the ptc Mathcad analysis for it and somehow the ODE Mass Spring problem doesn't help me make the connection. Could someone please help get me started with this?

HI,Could someone explain to me how to calculate the summation operator? I have attached a picture where you can see my formula. If I understand correctly, my condition formula should work like this: 0.1 + 0.2 + 0.3 + 0.4 + 0.5 = 1.5. However, Mathcad only gives 0.1. What am I doing wrong?

is there a way instead of writing all these qcza ( x ), I write just one variable that represents them all like  qcza;in and still get the same plot something like this

Hi,         These curves are displayed best by using logarithmic axes.   The plot result should look like below: I am interested how to put that Rg/Ri on each graph.    

Is it possible in MathCAD to solve for a variable as I have shown in the snip?  I've tried different ways but cannot get it to work.  But I am also very new to this program. I want to solve for ΦVn.  I know my limiting capacity and the geometry of the weld to obtain the weld properties.   

A big hello to everyone here, I'm looking for a little program that receives as parameters only a square matrix of alphanumeric elements and a symbolic element to search in it. The program must return the row and column indices of the element searched. Is anyone able to make it? It seems simple to me. I thank very much whoever wants to do it.

I'm trying to use the "match" function and having a very ridiculous problem. If there is no match, the function returns error. Works fine if there is a match. This makes it useless. As best I can tell from the documentation the return should be "-1" if there is no match. What obvious thing am I missing?

I would like to create a 3D plot illustrating the data distribution from the generated table (function). Unfortunately, I have tried various methods but haven’t been able to figure it out. I mean somethin like below:I'm using Matchcad Prime 10.

It shows an error although it is a vector . WHY? 

How can I find the longest vector. I have q which has 27 vectors and I want to find the longest vector which has the most values . maximum function works only for scaler not vectors . this is on the  2nd page of my sheet

Hi,  The problem I'm currently working on primarily uses 2 decimal places. However, at some point in the sheet the decimal places change to 15 places unexpectedly. For the regions where this problem occurs, the math formatting menu is completely greyed out, although text formatting is still functional.  Any help with this? Thanks
