As part of my standard(ish) formatting principles, I like to use UniMath Prime (or another mathematical font, such as IBM Plex Serif or TeX Gyre Schola) to highlight variable/function names in Text Regions. To make life simpler, because I'm inherently lazy and prefer to put less effort in than I need, I created a Text Style named Variable that allows me to select a variable or function name and apply an italic maths font to that name. I want to use UniMath Prime for that font, but Mathcad's Text Style editor won't allow me to use it in any style. UniMath Prime Bad. Tec Gyre Schola Good I'm not sure if this is a bug or deliberate, but it's a bug from my point of view, and I'd be grateful if PTC could fix it. Stuart
Can I automatically create in Mathcad 15 a Text Box based on the first column of an excel sheet?
Hello everyone,I'm currently working on a task for my marine engineering studies where I need to calculate and plot vectors in Mathcad. The task involves adding vectors and representing them as arrows in a diagram. I’ve managed to define the vectors and perform the calculations, but I’m struggling with how to effectively plot them as arrows in Mathcad. Here’s a brief outline of what I’m trying to do:Define vectors (e.g., A = [Ax, Ay], B = [Bx, By])Calculate the sum of the vectors (e.g., C = A + B)Plot these vectors on a 2D diagram with arrowheads indicating their direction.I’m unsure how to add arrows to represent them properly. Is there a way to directly add arrows in Mathcad, or would I need to annotate the plot manually? If anyone has experience with this or any tips on the best approach, I would greatly appreciate your help! Thanks in advance for your assistance! Best regards,Michael
Is Mathcad prime 9000 still working? Is it mandatory to use prime 10? Why I'm having this message ?
I mistakenly attached a photo with a wrong extension to my MathCAD file. Now, it's not opening the wrong extension is .1 instead of .jpg The version is Prime 7.0.0.0 I will appreciate a lot if you could help me recover the file even if it will be just the texts and equations!
Hi all, is there any ways to import the data from excel into the Mathcad table? Data in excel table Data in Mathcad Table Thank you for your help! *i'm using MathCad Prime 10.0.0.0
This message appeared out of a sudden, I don't have any backups alternative to this file as that may cause an absolute failure for my diploma work. Please, HELP ME! I can't really endure the loss.
Hi all, does anyone knows why there's 'i' in the results of the last equation?Regards,
Whenever I define a range variable and then try to do some matrix operations on it (like finding its length, max/min and transpose...) Mathcad responds with an error saying the operation can all be done on a vector or array. How do I convert my range variable into an array?Version: Mathcad Prime 10
Is there any way to set default unit outputs. I'd like it to read Kip*Ft. I've seen people complain about this issue in the past but cant seem to find a solution. I've attached a portion of the sheet.
I want to be able to import drawings made in other software.
Hey,I want to solve the system in the first file symbolically, so that it leaves p in the answer as a parameter (the phi1(p), phi2(p), etc are unimportant and can be renamed x,y, z). I'm not quite sure how to do that; I googled around a bit and the closest solution I found was in the "Symbolic solving" section of this link: https://www.mathcad.com/en/blogs/solving-systems-equations-mathcadI included the picture from that section which explains well what I need to do - basically, create a vector of equations.I tried to implement this, but I can't figure out how to actually type an equation into a vector. Whenever I try to type an = or := sign, it takes me out of the vector. I tried copy-pasting, too, to no avail. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks)
Prime 10 attached
Whilst looking at another worksheet in Mathcad Prime 10, I noticed that an as-yet undefined variable in a loop had a value (albeit zero) I can't remember if this was standard behaviour in previous versions of Mathcad or not. However, it certainly caused me some moments of pondering whilst I tried to determine how a variable was initialized in a much longer program (that I was trying to understand in the first place!). Good afternoon friends of the community, I am new to using Mathcad. I have a problem getting data from a general graph for an area smaller than the interior as shown in the graph. My version of Mathcad Prime is V.9.0 Thank you for your attention.
PTC held a webinar on 8/20/2024 called Advanced Controls Crash Course. No questions were taken during the webinar. Instead, attendees were asked to type their questions in the chat area. These questions were then supposed to be answered later. Has anyone seen a list of the questions and answers? Where would one find this information? A question that I had asked was, "Is it possible to expand/collapse areas using the new controls?" I really would like to get an answer. I have searched through the Knowledge Base and it appears it could be done in previous versions using the on-board script editor. MC Prime 10 does not include an on-board script editor. You can only edit the script in a control. Is it possible to see the "code" behind MC areas?
Hi, Mechanical engineering student here, I'm trying to use MathCAD Prime 7 to solve for unknown variables in a linear equation using the symbolic solve function. All I seem to get is the spinning yellow disc loading icon. Can anyone help? I have attached the file in question.
Hi,On Mathcad 15 I used a VB script to recalculate the worksheet using a "worksheet.Recalculate()" comment assigned to a button, but this comment not working on the PTC Mathcad Prime API.Can you help me to solve this.
How can I use bode function in prime?
Hi Folks,I hope everybody here is doing fine.I was wondering if anybody knows if it is possible to create a button that simply recalculates the entire worksheet once its pushed. Thanks a lot in advance,---Shak
Hi all, I've created a vector value as shown below does anyone know how to create an 'if statement' to get the min/max results for these two vectors? Your help is kindly appreciated
Hi all, I've created a vector values as shown below and I want to check the design for each of the value is pass or not. does anyone know how to create an 'if statement' to get the results as shown below? Thank you for your kind help.
Good afternoon community, I ran into a problem. It turns out that I want to solve some equations whose data are found as matrices and I want to calculate the unknowns for each row of said matrix, but at the same time there are certain conditions that I want to be met to determine those unknowns. Thanks for your attention. Mathcad Prime V.9.0 Translated by the Community Moderation using Google Translate. Mathcad Prime V.9.0
Hi,What could be the reason of which when setting g:=2 the first local minimum is taken as 11.095 (so jumps/skips over the first local minimum), but when using g:=2.3 the first local minimum is taken as 4.812, so the first minimum expected one value around 2.3 value. I would expected to see the first local minimum as 4.812 when using g:=2 as well.My understanding is that by setting g:=some value, then maximize(f,g), and minimize(f,z) mathcad functions will take the first local maximum and the first local minimum around this g given value. Is not right my understanding?
I am using Mathcad Prime 5.0 5.0.0.0I have a worksheet with an array that is 12 rows by 1 column. I know realize I want 15 rows. How can I change the arrays size so I can enter the additional values?
