I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.1.0Remote Method exception: throws null pointer exception or throws no such method exception while invoking RMI client

Hi,When Turkish lira is entered in Windhill, I created an attribute that multiplies this value with this year's dollar rate.However, the dollar rate is fixed at a different value each year. For example; In 2021 I need to multiply this value by 11, in 2022 I need to multiply it by 17.64. How do you think I can overcome this situation? yes, I may not be able to establish a dynamic structure, but do you think I should create a new attribute every year? Note: attribute directly affects a form and its values ​​should not change. For this reason, it is impossible for me to regularly update the calculated attribute.  

I have registered on PTC https://www.ptc.com/en/products/windchill/software-packages to get windchill free trial. But I didn't get any email from ptc regarding windchill. How can I start windchill free trial on Linux?

Doing some testing installing 13.0.1.0... Has anyone else started this yet?   Attempting the install using LDAPs to AD and the installer is puking. Seemed to not be a problem with 12.0.2.x.   OS, JDK are both supported versions. AD certs are imported into the JDK keystore, JAVA_HOME is set and JDK\bin is in the path... Using the same Base DN as did with WC 12, Bind user CN / PW is good (Used it with LDAP browser to connect to AD)... Can connect to the AD via openssl s_client -connect ADFQDN:636 and it responds with the connection info and cert...    STUMPED...

Hi all I want to customize the object collector in a promotion request, but I'm not able to. Do you know whether it is possible to add additional attributes e.g. state? Hi , We are using windchill PDM link 12.0.2.7  and we need to update Apache version from 2.4.54.0 to 2.4.58.As per PTC ,  i can update Apache to 2.4.57 with CPS 15.The next patch CPS 16 is releasing on 20 Dec 2023. So Can i achieve Apache version 2.4.58 by installing CPS 16?  Is the patch going to available in cps 16 or not?Thanks.

Hi,to verify, "Utilities - Publish and Thumbnail Control" only works for CAD, you cannot prohibit publishing of WTDocuments with that? Only way to go is customizations?Is that so also in more recent Windchill versions? I'm looking at 11.1 M020.

I have a situation where a particular field on our Change Request has different choices depending on which project they are part of.  Using Global Enumerations, I can set up the cascading dependencies to show the correct choices.  But... having to choose the project first on creation is something I'd like to avoid.  Each of our projects have their own contexts... if you create a CR in PRJ1-Library, I want the project field choice preset and the dependent field's valid choices already filtered. I can use the OIR to set the project field but it only happens after the create form is submitted.  Can this be preset so the create form already has the correct project? (I am trying to avoid writing custom code and handlers... please let me know if this a forlorn hope...)

When an existing item is added again using “Insert Existing” option, a warning message is shown.But when an item is replaced with an existing item using “Replace with Existing” option, no warning message is shown, and the item got duplicated Are you working on it to solve in the future version? thank you,Claude

I am moving vaults to a new NetApp volume and making long overdue changes to automatically create folders for that vault. I have 3 vaults that I will reduce to 2 so wt.fv.forceContentToVault is set to false properly (https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS68929?source=search. I also have the following set: wt.fv.useFvFileThreshold=falsewt.fv.useVaultsForAllContent=true I know in the past we hit some NetApp or OS limit on the number of files in a single folder but I think that limit might not exist (except for max number of files on entire volume). The vault folders currently have anywhere from 100K, 300K to 1M files in them and I have had no issues (xfs or ext4 I think). So the question is, does setting a limit even matter anymore?

A recent CPS included a major solr server version upgrade 8.x.x to 9.x.x, so it’s recommended to rebuild the index but this took days in dev/test and the index search capability is out until it’s finished. Are there any ways to avoid the outage, perhaps run the two in parallel until the rebuild is done then handover, set the old one to read only somehow? Any suggestions

Hi, I am reviewing some fault trees developed in Windchill. The fault tree report describes the process for addressing common mode failure and determines the most appropriate to be the application of a Beta Factor. The value of the beta factor has been determined and applied for all redundancies to address the impact of common mode failure. The order 1 cut sets contain a number of common mode failures where Beta has been applied. All looks good. The only question I have is how do I confirm that a Beta factor has been applied in all scenarios where it is required? Is there away you can get an export from windchill that identifies all the Basic events that have redundancy and need a beta applied or do you have to interrogate the fault trees to identify the redundant elements that require a beta factor to be applied? I have 241 pages of fault trees so I am hoping it is not the latter. Thanks
