I've got a worksheet that minimises a function with two variables.I'd like to get the minimised variables and re-input them into the function to find the final minimised value.When I try to extract the variables from the Minimize vector it gives me different values to those found initially - see attached worksheet.Worksheet overview:The function (Fresmin) adds FLres and FHres absolutely.Fresmin will be zero wherever a horizontal line crosses both curves in the graph.I define a value for RLD and use Minimize to find the optimum value of RHD.I extract the minimised values into a and b.I've also created a simplified example at the bottom of the worksheet that does work correctly.Can anybody explain why the former is not working? (It appears to be finding another solution as Fresmin is very small)

I seem to recall there being a way to double click on a document, and not have it open the Item View. Am I remembering correctly, and if so where do I set the setting.I have looked in several locations, and can't seem to find any options supporting. Currently using the Integrity 10.3 client.

Hello,I'm brand new to MathCad, and seem to be stuck where the calc will not converge, so I'm not getting an answer... the eqn comes from my course notes. I'm trying to solve to give the volume of 3 seperate sections of an object, starting with the first eqn, yfl(x). This is supposed to be the "radius" when I sub in into Eqn 3 below to calculate the volume integral. Where Lf= 86.4, nf = 2.25 and D=36, as seen in the MathCad worksheet. Thank you

Is there a way to test if a variable is a matrix in Prime 2.0?I'm writting a function that uses the function vertflip. I want my function to accept a scaler or matrix, but vertflip only accepts matricies. So I'm looking to do something like...vertflip(if(ismatrix(M), M, [M]))

Hello all, i just installed Creo 3 out of curiousity. I have no immediate plans to start working with it, justed wanted a look. I currently work with Creo 2 & Creo Elements/Pro 5. I configured my Creo 3 install, start up directory, config files etc. all looks ok so far. I was a little nervous my other 2 versions would screw up, but thankfully they fire up fine, apart from one thing with the older Creo Elements/Pro. I get the following message alert (see image). I have just been clicking 'Install later' & things seem to work fine from there on in, but i don't want to see this message every time i launch the software. What would happen if i clicked 'install now'? It is vitally important that i can continue to work with this version, because many my customers still use this. Hello, I have a spreadsheet which was developed by anohter firm and was made to use. I was able to make the dit to the spread shett the way i wanted it but when it came to the results at the end, I am not able to edit the already exisiting table (matrix) that is provided by the developer. Can someone please help me on how I can edit the "Analysis Results" on the last 2 page of the attached file. We are starting to use Index Adviser to create new indexes by cutting and pasting the SQL statements into a source member for compile and promotion through Implementer. However, when I go to compile in our Development environment with '14', the command RUNSQLSTM uses QTEMP/QSQLSRC for the Object Code substitution variables #SRCLIB/#SRCFIL. The SQLINDX object code has a default source file of QSQLSRC, but I have overridden the Development environment to FCOSRCLE. The source library for our Development environment is MM4D3SRC; the environment override is set to *SRCLIB.So I expected Implementer to substitute the environment override value of FCOSRCLE for the source file and environment source library value of MM4D3SRC for the source library, but instead it used QTEMP/QSQLSRC.

Hi, has anyone tried to use Creo 3 help center yet? I just loaded the files from disc, & when i try to search any topic it turns up 'no results'. Am i missing something? I can't believe i need help, to use the help center.John

Hello Community,My xmcd-file doesnt open anymore. Mathcad shows me only the message, that the file is destroyed. The error message give no further information what is wrong with the file. Dear community, I found the cmd line order "si locks" to list the locks of a user declared with "--locker=" in this order.In the output it is possible to view the user name of the listed lock. So I wonder if it is possible to list the locks of multiple users via the cmd line. I'm locking forward to any hint. TIAAlexander Sailer

Hi All,I'm a complete noob when it comes to setting up a server (I'm a mech eng; not an IT admin!). We just got this machine last week and I've slowly been setting it up for our new office. I've got Windchill PDM Essentials installed and configured on the server, but I can't seem to access Windchill from other machines on the network. The server is definitely visible to the other computers, as I can access shared folders, etc. But if I type the windchill URL into any other machine, it can't find it. I also can't see the license server from the other machines. Any suggestions?Thanks

I am brand new to using Creo for FTC. I have downloaded the program and the kit of parts. I have gone into Creo and set the parts as my working directory. When I try to open any part, I receive the message that the filee "cannot be retrieved". What am I doing wrong?

What is the correct procedure for duplicating assemblies and drawings in PDM Essentials?- I tried save as, but it does not work because it wants me to rename sub-assemblies and I don't want to do this.- I tried renaming, but because they are not new items in workspace, it doesn't work either.I just want a new assembly name and a new drawing name so I can check them in as new items.

Hi,I haven't been able to find an example, or figure out the actual data format, on my own... So I'm hoping that someone can point me in the right direction.The task is simple... We have a multi-select IBPL field. From a trigger-script we need to populate this IBPL field with all possible values. Currently, we're executing a query to get all the values, but I don't have the right data-format to make it work.Below is an excerpt from our script files that is not working for us.
