Is there a way we can have a preview of the CREO file in windchill so we don't have to memorize the names of all the parts? We have looked into using thumbnails, but there does not seem to be an option to do that. Is there any way of doing this?

As you can see in the picture, i want to extract the value of white and black, however when I write black= of course it says placeholder is empty because the code "black" was identified in the function.If I seperate the statemets in two functions I can see the white and black counters but i wanna make the whole process in one function.Thank you.

I swear I used to be able to see all parts/assy's that hadn't been checked into Windchill in a non-active workspace without having to activate it. Is that true?? If so, is there a setting that allows me to see everything in a workspace without activating it?? I'm running Creo 2.0 with Windchill PDMLink 10.1 Datecode M040.

Hi, at my company we do a lot of sketching in the drawing mode, snapping to existing draft entities. My coworker has an old mapkey that automatically allows contraints as soon as he starts a line. The rest of us have to click line, click on the references (draft entities) we wish to use, and THEN we can snap to the line.For instance, we want to sketch a line from the midpoint of an existing line. We need to:1) Open the line command2) When the "references" window pops up, click on the line that we want the midpoint (or endpoint) of.3) accept the references we picked, then sketch the line from said references, and ONLY the references we picked.My coworker however, does this:1) uses his "magic" mapkey (which he has long since forgotten HOW he made!)2) the "references" window does NOT pop up, rather the "selection point' window pops up instead, and he can automatically click on any endpoint or midpoint of any existing line.Any clue as to how he made this mapkey?Thanks!This thread is inacti

Is there a way we can quickly and easily export windchill files onto a hard drive? The main reason we would like to do this is in the bizarre case that something could happen that would make our files inaccesible. Another application of backing up files is for when we are at competition and cannot connect to the internet due to the Field Control System. Is there a way to do this?

I have a model that opens fine in Creo Simulate 2.0 but not in 3.0. I open the file in Creo 3.0 and as soon as I go to Simulate, the program crashes without any message. Hi all,I want to log label moving in Configuration Management, but I only see events for addLabel and deleteLabel.I suppose that the movel label is a concatenation of those two actions. But then the question is how can I distinguish between a normal add label and a move label operation?Veikko

Is there a way to make the 'Current Rep' tree column NOT display every time a rep is changed in an assembly? When I open a Master Rep, the model tree looks like the first image. Then, when the rep is changed (to default rep, for example) the tree column 'Current Rep' is displayed. Is there a way to turn this feature off and always have just the original column display no matter what rep is displayed? Creo 2.0Have an assembly made of imported parts and when I try to change the model from inches to metric it disappears. I can replicate with by changing one part or the whole asm. Hello,I just started using MATHCAD prime 3.0 without any experience with previous versions of MATHCAD. My first task is to solve an ODE (nonlinear, first-order: as analyzed by mathematica):(dV(x)/dx)^2 - (dV(x)/dx|x=0)^2 = A*(exp(B*V(x))-1), with only two boundary conditions V(0) = 0 and V(d) = -VdFor the details, please see the file attached below.I guess the problem occurs because of the (dV(x)/dx|x=0)^2 term in the left-hand side of the ODE. Recently, in my work I have to do a lot of sweeps, like the one bellow: Now, to close the ends I have to do a revolve:This doesn´t seem much work, but, to do the revolve it takes about 23 clicks (Revolve, Select Plane for skecth, add references, define axis, project, trim...) for each end. Total of 46 clicks for closing both sides.I´m trying to figure out a easier way to do this.
