Hi, Is it possible to create an automated techincal drawing process in Creo Parametric. I am designing a lot of sheet parts and I don't need to give detail but in drawing I have to give maximum dimensions for sheet part. If there is a way to do it automated. It will save me a lot of time. I mean with just one click or a combination I just want to create front view and right view for a flat sheet part.I am doing it with mapkey but still have to give dimensions manually. Thanks in advance -Enes

I am working with thingworx 9.5.I want to use the insert into sql database command. I want to have the database I want to insert the data into as a variable input, but this doesn't seem to be possible. I made an example of how I am trying it but I keep receiving errors: insert into [[Table]] (logid,message,source,category,servicename,level,country) values ([[LogID]],[[Message]],[[Source]],[[Category]],[[ServiceName]],[[Level]],[[Country]]); When I change the [[Table]] parameter by the name of the db, all is fine.error returned is: Execute Update failed: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: syntax error at or near "$1" Position: 13 Does anyone have a workaround for this?Kind regards

As per my understanding the licensing of Thingworx Kepware Edge is Based on no. of tags will be used as below.1)  0 to 100 tags2) 101 to 750 tags 3) 751 to 1500 tags4) unlimited tags.but I want to known that is there any limitation of maximum no of channels define in TKE ?

Hi,I’m currently using Thingworx 9.3.9 and facing an issue while trying to update the property values of boolean properties in a Thing. I’m using the UpdatePropertyValue default service for this purpose.However, the service is not allowing me to update the values for the current time. Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Let's say I have a design in Creo 9 which is managed by Windchill 12.1. I also have managed Solidworks 2023 data in the same Windchill database. As part of my Solidworks design, I want to insert a Creo managed file (part or assembly) into my Solidworks assembly. This could be for creating tooling or simply one engineer designed a part in in Creo and another needs that part in SWDescription: If I attempt to open the Creo file through the Workgroup Manager in Solidworks I get this error:Sep 28 20:07:31 Failed to open in SolidWorks 2023: 987-3811-025.prt. C:\Users\tpprimos\Documents\PTC Places\Workspace\987-3811-025.prt does not exist. If I attempt to select "Insert Components" from the Solidworks Assembly, the File browser only shows Solidworks files in my workspace,  It does not list any of the Creo files in my workspace.  Therefore I cannot select the Creo file. It seems like the only way to accomplish this is to Save a Back Up

Im trying to plot, lifetime as a funct. of doping, and abs. coefficient as a function of wavelength. I've looked up some videos and good instructions from this Solved: How to produce a log based range variable or plot ... - PTC Community but I have a problem getting the plot to show while defining the range correctly, ie, units for the start and stop, adding steps. I can pull it up with python but not with Mathcad and I can't find out why. thank you, Thank you, 

Version: Windchill 12.0   Use Case: Our Windchill is currently configured so that engineers can revise objects outside of any change process. Typically each CAD model is related to a WTPart with an Owner link. Our rule (although not enforced in Windchill) is that CAD and WTPart must be revised together. We have the default collection set so that if the user starts a revise on the CAD model, the related WTPart is collected by default. Typically engineers use the default collection and everything stays in sync. Description: Recently, an engineer revised a CAD assembly and used the collector to add dependents. The related WTParts of the dependents were not collected. As a result, the new revision of many CAD objects was no longer linked to any WTPart. It took a significant effort to fix.   I assume a custom listener could be developed to run some validation during the revise action and block the revise of a CAD object if the related WTPart was not included in the revise action.

Hello Community, how are you?Can anyone tell me how to create a simp rep from holes I made in an assembly? I need to hide the holes I made in the assembly and I tried simp rep, but it only lets me exclude parts and not characteristics. Has anyone done something similar?Thanks!!!

I'm running into an issue with Shrinkwrap where no matter what settings are used it always deletes the faces in screw heads where the tool would fit in. Is there something I'm missing that would make Shrinkwrap catch those faces without having to go through and select each individual one on all of them? The purpose is to send out gutted assemblies for the purpose of a 3rd party to make photo realistic images for marketing so having missing faces/parts is not ideal. See below for example of what's happening.

Hi all, I am working on a use case using the kepware API to create kepware tags. Long story short, I want to create many tags with an empty/placeholder address and then can update the address at a later time as needed, but don't know what address will always be there regardless of machine that I can use. When I try to create a tag using the API with an address that doesn't exist it errors, which is why I am looking for a "universal address". I don't have much experience with PLC or address stuff so any help on this would be appreciated.

Dear PTC Community,i am designing a radiator, and therefore i would like to makes a pattern of the fins.i understand that a pattern with over 500 members takes some computing time and peromance.However, the pattern takes an eternity (5mins) to regenerate but my computer is not at all at its limits (see picture).i am working on a windows 11 pro and creo 9.0.9.0(Arbeitsspeicher means RAM)

Hello Dear Friends at PTC Community, What is the industry practice regarding level of details for MBD parts?  Should ALL features have ALL dimensions shown, in as many Combination Views as necessary (same level of detailing as in 2D drawing)? Is there a way to hide a model in Combination View?  Some of our Combination Views are packed with notes and models are not necessary (they get in the way actually).Simplified Representation works within assemblies, but not at part level. any chance someone here can share a good practice/high standard reference model, something I can learn from?

I just installed Creo 10.0.5.0 (from 8.0.10.0 and 9.0.9.0) and am noticing that on each launch Windchill is offline unless I manually go to Server Management and uncheck the "Offline" box.  All of the settings from 8.0.10.0 and 9.0.9.0 are unchanged and neither one of those versions had that issue.  What do I need to do to have it start with Windchill online?

When a new IFX fastener is created, a window for pattern (single instance / all instances) and the hole control (no hole / hole in part level / hole in assembly level) shows up (see image)   Is it possible to bring up this window on existing fastener, and edit it? Or would the fastener have to be deleted and a new one created in order to get this window again?

Hello everyone,In the attached file i have two programs r and q.program 'r' arranges the bars in one layer of beam cross section and 'q' is for the second layer.Here the number of layers are decided based on 'gqo' values.If they are positive, one layer of the bars are sufficient, i have to repeate the proceedure until it is positive (which means i have to arrange the bars in several layers).How can i automate y1....yn, d1....dn, n1.....nn, so that one program is sufficient to give the results for the bars in several layers. (y1,y2), (d1,d2), (n1,n2) belongs to first layer, (y3,y4).... for second layer, (y5,y6) for third layer and soo on.Attached mathcad 10 file.

I have to automate the services from scheduler to generate 10 reports every week based on the hardcoded 10 inputs in service. Each report generates after fetching data from windchill and it service executes upto 5 minutes to generate one report. In this case the server should be available for 1 hour in backend for the generation of all reports.    What are the configuration steps needed to run services for continuous 1 hour.

In Creo, flexible components such as springs, mounted in an assembly, do not graphically show their flexibility when dragging. How to solve this behavior? What can I do? And without using the mechanism! In short, I would like to see the spring that stretches and compresses when I drag the purple component without having to regenerate at the end of the drag. thanks in advance to anyone who can help mestarting position after dragging the purple component after regenerated
