Hello,    I am a new user to codebeamer and have not been able to determine how to configure the project settings for changing the rules for what upstream/downstream references are allowed in between trackers.  I will be an admin and creating projects to manage aerospace requirements and projects and this would be a very useful tool/item to go over in the courses that was not discussed in the self-guided trainings.     I could also not find this in the user guide for creating new projects or trackers.  If it is in the user guide, could someone point me to this section?

Hello All,  Good day !!! We upgraded Arbortext 8.1 to 8.2 around a year ago, and for the last two days, we have been seeing a pop-up message stating that our license is about to expire. Has anyone else encountered this type of mistake while running Arbortext? This is the first time we have encountered this problem. What type of license is it mentioning? I have the step by step hand calculations for this type of problem but I really would like to learn the ptc Mathcad analysis for it and somehow the ODE Mass Spring problem doesn't help me make the connection. Could someone please help get me started with this?

There are two departments (engineering and operations) and engineering departement is responsible for creating the eBOM. The windchill part will be released and given a specific state.The operations side of the company then needs to create a downstream branch in order to split up the eBOM and make an mBOM. It looks like that in order to be able to create downbstream branches, the user needs to have 'Modify'-rights on the upstream WT-part, but I don't want everyone who must be able to create downstream branches (operations department) to be allowed to modify the upstream parts (responsibility of the engineering department). Am I overlooking some settings or is this just default behaviour and should I tell operations to be carefull with upstream 'design' parts?

Hi All, As you are aware that in 12.0.1.0, Windchill DS is removed from the technology stack and only user information is stored in Active Directory or LDAP v3 compliant LDAP Server PTC didn't give any preparation document for LDAP v3 compliant LDAP Server for Windchill   If any one of you tried, Please let me know your experience   I would like to know whether you have to do any configuration once you install the LDAP server before you install windchill   Best Regards Prajeesh Kumar

One of my writers returned from vacation and finds he can no longer get his DITA maps to display correctly. They come up in an unusable state as shown in the attached screenshot. Other dialogs, including the Preferences dialog, also display incorrectly. Have tried clearing the cache, rebooting, and everything else we can think of, but cannot resolve the issue. Any suggestions? We're using version 8.1.3.1.

Hi,We are working on chassis design for off-road vehicles and we have very large assembly files. (Approx 10.000 parts) I am working on projects by excluding or including components but sometimes it takes time to process easy tasks. Our computers are workstations and they are very good but in very large assemblies it does not help. I know some ways to do but it didn't help much.Is there possible ways to increase performance? Thanks in advance -Enes

I am using Mathcad Prime Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.0.0We had a group recently convert their files from MathCAD 15 to Prime and they are experiencing latency and performance issues. It now takes several minutes to perform the calculations.Also, this was reported by one power user - one alarming thing is that sometimes it takes multiple minutes to finish calculating the worksheet, but what I thought was a status indicator turns back to green before it is even done calculating (So I've either misinterpreted what that icon is, or its not working correctly)

Creo Elements Direct Express won't open. Get the One Time Activation dialogue box then the proxy server dialogue box, then the request license dialogue box. Get the 72 hour activation code and enter it and it says it is invalid.  Anyone else having this issue??   Thanks,       

Hi, I just added a new property called "price" to WTPart. I want to know that, when adding children to a parent WTPart, are there ways to calculate and update the total price of a parent WTPart automatically, by adding the prices of its children WTPart together?  For example, A is the final product, B ($5) and C ($10) are children of A. First I create A, leave the price blank. Then I add C to A as a child, I would like to see the "price" property of A automatically updated to $10. Then add B to A as a child, the price of A is updated to $15. I'm using Windchill 12.1, just wondering if it's possible. I'm new to customization of windchill but have some experiences in Java programming, so if yes, could you please also tell me what are the steps I should do?  Thank you!

So a drawing that has been in our system for sometime has suddenly lost all the views on each sheet of the drawings. the views still appear on the drawing tree but on the page no view can be seen including dimensions and balloons. 

Is it possible to create a custom hole file (.hol) for holes that are only drilled, not tapped?  I'm trying to recreate a standard drill chart with our standard countersink sizes and hole callouts. For the life of me I cannot figure out if Creo will allow me to do this.  I have a number of custom threaded hole files but this one is an enigma. What I have so far is attached.  When I go to select a size from it, I just get a -1.000 for the diameter.  Remove the .txt if using the file.  Thanks..

Long ago when I created UDFs for various holes, I could put the corresponding tolerance with the hole.  When I showed my dimensions in the drawing, tolerances came over.   I'm creating some new .hol files now but can't seem to figure out where to include any hole tolerance.   Ex:  If I pick a .250 dia hole from the dropdown, what I'd like to see in the model is .250 +.005 / -.001. Obviously I can add a tolerance later, but having it stored would help standardize things for our users Creo 8.0.0.0 Thanks..

Hello Team,   If we try to generate traceability between SRS and SGD, the generated report links the downstream requirement to the upstream requirement, but without mentioning the version of the covered upstream requirement.Which means that if an SRS requirement was changed and its version is incremented, the traceability will not detect this change and the downstream SGD requirement will still appear to cover the SRS requirement, although it has been changed and the version attribute has changed. So, if the traceability report links the downstream requirement to the version of the covered upstream requirement, any change in the upstream requirement will be detected.

Hello dear Community,I am a student having worked with Autodesk Inventor for a while but i am switching for a future employment.When trying to make a threaded hole i select ISO as the thread type and M20x2.5 as the size but then it spits out sizes like 0.6890 for the inner hole diameter wich is propably in inches, but since everything is set to mm it tries to make a hole for the thread thats just 0.689mm in size.Screenshot is attached aswell i couldnt find any solution via google / this forum but maybe i was just blind, if you could give me an answer or point me to an already existing Answer i would greatly appreciate it.Software: Creo Parametric Education Edition (Version 10 i belive)
