As per the original post.    Good Morning Ty,   I'd like to use CREO to calculate the Area MOI of some non-uniform geometry. Prior to doing that I wanted to test the tool on a known Area MOI before applying it to the non-uniform geometry.   What I did was took an I-beam, calculated the Area MOI and then pulled the same beam into CREO and tried to use the analysis tool to confirm that it shows me the Area Moment of Inertia in the Inertia Tensor.  But the units for the Inertia tensor are for that of just plain MOI (lb/in^2) and not the Area Moment of Inertia (in^4) - how would I measure this using Creo for a cross section?   Thanks, MW

HiI created a curve from equation.x = sin(t) + 2 * Sin(2*t)y = cos(t) - 2 * cos(2*t)z = -sin(3*t)I tried Scale Model but it doesn't work on a curve from an equation. Is it possible to scale the curve without modifying the equations? Thanks

I have a use case is to trigger an SCM download based on the content of the Dependencies.xml file. We tried something but could not recollect the same.This profile creation would be useful for who are designing the Gear so that they can understand the impact of correction/undercut etc.Anyone tried the same in Mathcad software is so pl.suggest the approach/methodology or is it good to prefer the some other modelling software? I request mathcad experts suggestion in this. Regards  

I just installed Creo 10 Student Premium. The support.inf file doesn’t list the Reverse Engineering module so I need to enable it. Unlike the commercial license there is no selection for Licensing in the File>Options menu for this. Have not found any help in the support forum. Seems like a job for a license configuration tool but there is no guidance for Student Premium. any ideas?

Hello All, I have an issue in drawings where occasionally my drawing tree will completely disappear, and is replaced by a detail tree, which is blank, I try to activate and deactivate the window to no avail. The layer tree will now only show in the model tree lower window, where as it usually resides in the upper drawing tree window. If I restart CREO the problem goes away and the drawing tree is restored.  I am curious if there is a glitch in the software or I'm inadvertently activating some kind of shortcut? 

I am fairly new to windchill. I am trying to checkout the non-latest iteration and make a modification. Basically a user added parts to an assembly that should have been added to a family table in our library so I need to correct that. The preference is locked at the org level but not the site. I have added my username to both the site and org admin accounts. Previously when I wanted to revert the iteration I had to log in as the org admin unlock the preference and set the preference to allow. This temporarily would enable all users to have this ability. Is there a way I can avoid having to change the preference every time by giving my personal account the ability to check out the non-latest iteration? On a side note, creo does not like when I switch accounts. I had setup bat that would change the cache location based off of username but PDMlink still showed a warning about how the session is registered. Is there a better way to switch between windchill accounts in Creo?

I am doing some image processing in Mathcad Prime 9.0 and the path to the image files is so long that it runs off the right side of the screen. I see a discussion from 2011 for setting a path in older versions of Mathcad (15?) but I cannot seem to find that option in Prime 9.0. Well, as you may see from my other message, I switched to MC 15, but has the same path issue until I learned that I could use character strings as variables.   So, now have two path variables and a third string name set to the file name, and I concatenate all three with "concat" in the following manner: Array := READBMP(concat(Path1,Path2,Image_78_7))

How do we know that the version we see, lets say A.4 is the last correct version of a document2.) If the Document is on a B.1 does that mean it is a newer version that A.4

Good dayI am New to Windchill and I would like to try and get clarity on the following.At this stage we are only working with documents in Windchill,Plans, Processes, Procedures, System requirements and so on which are all Documents.We have various Authors  that create the Documents, however we also have Product specialists that need to review these Documents to verify the info is correct, make changes to the content and perhaps add sections.What process should I use for this in Windchill. Create New Review VS New Change Request VS New Promotion request to send a document for review and changes.

Hi all,We have a BOM table set up that works fine (no duplicates) but when adding a column for the weight it brings back in the duplicates.I guess this is to show the weight of each part and each individual duplicate part.Is there a way to not show the duplicates and the weight column to show a weight for each part?eg. if there is two of Item 5, the Qty column would show '2' but the Weight column would show the weight for one of Item 5?Creo 8 Hope that makes sense.Thanks

i have installed AMU in server with one database instance on MSSMS. Now i want to install CWC on same server with some database. As per Documentation Of PTC help center, We can same instance for both or We can use two different database instance for both apps. I want to know what's the best practice to follow in such scenario? Should i keep same instance or different for AMU and CWC
