Dear experts,Is there any way to directly use the "MEASURE" tool to calculate the distance between two points along the x-axis of a curve I drew? [i.e., without first defining two DATUM POINTS, nor first using SKETCH and draw a line between them].Long story: I use DATUM -> curve from equation to draw "y=sin(108*x)" in the front plane, with the range being defined as "from 0 to 10". I now want to make sure the distance between the beginning of the curve and the end of the curve, along the x-axis, is 10. Therefore, I then go to the "measure" tool -> distance, choose "FRONT" plane in the projection picker, and on "add items" choose the x=0 point, and then while pressing CTRL, choose x=10. The problem is that it doesn't work! It might be that the grid CREO forms doesn't include the x=10 point, but it is really weird that in order to calculate the distance between two points along the x-axis, I have to use "SKETCH", or artificially draw additional two DATUM points.Will be happy to hea

Hi,I use CREO Parametric 9.0 Student Eddition as a Hobbyist. When creating an STL file (Save as STL) for a 3D printer, I observe that the number of facets on circular srfaces is relatively low. My question is : How to increase the number of factets, in order to get more precise circular surfaces ? I foud this article in the CREO support, but it seems to be valid for another software : https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/ced_modeling/r20.5.0.0/fr/index.html#page/ced_modeling/OSDM_Main/Parts_23.html Is there a limitation of the Student Edition ? Thanks for your help 

If someone were to not have access to the WindChill batch tool, but still wanted to be able to manage and easily print out several single part drawings to a project, what other ways are there? I recently ran across a post where someone would create a top level drawing and was "overlaying" each individual part drawing inside that (1) file. However if that process can not be automated or batched, then its really no faster than opening each individual drawing and printing it. Just want to make sure I'm no missing anything. Thank You!

I have this Generic part (Fig. 1.1) for my Family Table. As you can see in Fig. 1.2, they're obviously in the Model Tree. Their columns show in the Family Table (Fig. 1.3) and when I verify (Fig. 1.4) they're successful. But even if everything shows that the features should show in the instances, they're still not showing (Fig. 1.5). It doesn't look like they were suppressed, more like the were never added to the model. I've tried to update the models in my workspace, and also upload them with tiny changes but nothing happens. I even tried not adding the features to the Family Table to see if they showed all of the patterns but no. Has anybody experienced this before? Am I missing something? Hi, I need to do a simulation with Creo Simulate 10.0.3 as indicated in the subject.I used shell finite elements ans it is not a problem to set constraints and the internal idrostatic pressure, the problem is another The tank is covered by sand, 30 cm per side as indicated in the attached files. The sand causes a force on the tank, and limits the lateral expansion. How can I interpret the sand? With a Force/Pressure on the tank and a laterally Pressure/Constraint/Springs to limit the lateral expansion? In order to represent the sand I also thought to create an external component/body but I think it is too complicated. I'll need sand structural property and I'll have to decide if use bounded interface or contact interface between tank and sand.Any  suggestion? Thanks

I have a setup with a remote webserver accessing a load-balanced application server. The app servers are headless ie no webserver is running on them ie only have Method server and Server Manager.Windchill is accessible via the loadbalancer URL.However when I update the configuration to access Windchill via the remote HTTP server the system returns:Service UnavailableThe server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. When in Creo after selecting "open", the "File Open" dialogue box appears. This presents me a "list" of Creo files in my workspace. Most of the columns displayed in this dialogue box mean nothing to me. Is there a way to create custom columns that read desirable parameters that would help me better find files during my "open" process? Thank you!

Good Morning, I had initially posted a reply to a thread looking just to measure the MOI, I figured it would be better to start a thread of my own. I'd like to use CREO to calculate the Area MOI of some non-uniform geometry. Prior to doing that I wanted to test the tool on a known Area MOI before applying it to the non-uniform geometry. What I did was took an I-beam, calculated the Area MOI and then pulled the same beam into CREO and tried to use the analysis tool to confirm that it shows me the Area Moment of Inertia in the Inertia Tensor.  But the units for the Inertia tensor are for that of just plain MOI (lb/in^2) and not the Area Moment of Inertia (in^4) - how would I measure this using Creo for a cross section? Thanks,MW

We currently have over 15 different attributes to (optionally) fill in when creating a part and for users it's getting a bit hard to understand all of them. It would be nice to add a way to find extra information on that attribute, but we can't seem to really find something.Possible things we would like:A tooltip on long hover with a explanation of what this attribute does:Or just a text block explaining what you see.Make the attribute label a hyperlink that links to a knowledge base.Is any of these possible in Windchill? Or maybe something else? Any help or insights would be much appriciated!

Just a quick share for vault maintenance. I noticed that when I was removing unreferenced files from one of my vault folders, this one folder failed to moving anything. mainvault, maincontentvault33 Site Name [master]; Vault Name [mainvault]; Folder Name [maincontentvault33]; Size Freed [5,693,163 KB]; Number Of Unreferenced Items [41,392]; Number Of Files For Cleanup [41,392]; Number Of Cleaned Files [0]; Number Of Failed Files [41,392]. All others succeeded. I checked the number of files in that folder. Dawned on my that its using my file vault threshold limit of 1M on the unreferenced subfolder. Paranoid and keeping copy of files. No biggie as this entire volume will be archived soon. I need to find this file inside creo , I've searched and all the PTC folder , but it doesn't find anything pmech_conn.TXT

Trying to setup a connection to a controllogix PLC. I have the connection and I'm trying to see the tag bit value PVInts[8].0 and on kepware it shows a folder on the left "PVInts_x" and when i select it it shows me all the ints inside. So on the right side i see PVInts_008 as the tag name and PVINTS[8] in the address but i can not drill down to PVInts[8].0 or PVInts[8].1 it doesnt show me that. What am i doing wrong? using KEPServerEX 6.15v6.15.132.0

We have assembly data with 3 revisions. 1st data upload has been done. 2nd revision data upload was made. The changed and added parts are located correctly in the second revision. 3rd revision data upload was made. We saw that only the deleted parts were deleted from all revisions. What's the problem ? Can you help me ?

Good morning all. I just had a user report an issue with his most used library NOT showing up in "Recent Libraries". When I went to look at the issue, I see the "Production" library behaving strangly. It exists, and is used daily, and for the admin, it shows up in recently used.  But if I, as admin, select "Show All", the production library vanishes.  Even worse, I have selected "Favorite" on the production library, but if I select "favorite" in the "All Libraries' table, it shows nothing.  This library seems hidden from everyone, unless you've had prior access recently enough that it's stays in "Recently Used" Suggestions to fix this issue? Thanks! =Don=

I have some legacy/migrated drawings in Windchill but these ‘Drawings’ are actually wt.documents because at migration time we only had the PDF or TIFF files and they’re not linked with the wt.part. In Thingworx Navigate there’s separate tasks to search for drawings and documents by number or name, are there any suggestions how to help users find the drawings they are looking for, when the drawings are actually documents?

Why am I not able to place end plates at the end of beams against a round wall? As you can see in the second photo it works on a flat wall. Thank you.
