Can the speed (response time) of a query done in a DBMS such as an SQL Server be impacted by what's going on in the system where the server is running? This article suggests that the response time is likely to increase when a few Windows programs that regularly inspect and clean the system, as well as analyze data received from the network, are operating. Is that correct?Thanks.

How to create circles from centre co-ordinates data? Radius is same for all circles.Is there any way in which first we can define the coordinate axes then based on the centre co-ordinate and radius plot the circles. Hi, using Creo 7.I am creating a number of user-defined features, but have discovered that small details such as a round R0.1 will not import over... Any work around or what might I missing? Happens with both stand alone and subordinate. Happens using round or as part of the hole design.  Some kind of tolerance or accuracy setting maybe? The UDF subordinate part is just fine, but as soon as I want to use the UDF it gives me a failure on regeneration on the rounding part.  Thanks,Julian.

Hi team,In xconfmanager, you can undefine or remove:--reset Reset the site specific value of a property or set ofproperties to the declared default value.--undefine Reset the property such that its value will be null--remove Treat the named property as an ordered set and remove avalue from it in the site.xconf. I have been configuring Security Labels, and I set a property that should not have been set. Then I tried --undefine and --remove but the property key remains in xconf.site and the related properties file. I would like to get rid of it completely. Will --reset get rid of the property? Maybe I need to use the backups?thanks -- Rick

i need to replace the bom on a lot of drawingsi found removing the old bom and then placing the new one to be quick but this removes the balloons.is there a way to transfer the balloons to the new repeat region, or replace the old repeat region with the new one without losing the balloons? the only way of saving the balloons i can think of is to make a mapkey rebuild the old repeat region to become the new one. 

Hi there, I need someone who explains me that "where to store" creo_parametric_customization.ui mess. Creo seems to use three places for that configuration file%appdata%\PTC\ProENGINEER\Wildfire\.wf\.Settingsworking directory / run_dir (from where config.pro is loaded)workspaceWhen Creo loads creo_parametric_customization.ui from %appdata%, it then creates a copy in the working directory.When I put creo_parametric_customization.ui in the working directory in the first place and use "load_ui_customization_run_dir yes", creo_parametric_customization.ui is ignored. I would strongly prefer a config.pro option, where You can simply define the path to that configuration.But unfortunately PTC overcomplicates things and try to sell this as an improvement (I really miss tree.cfg and config.win).    

I'm working on use case,there are 20 Plants. each plant contains 100+ equipment with each equipment contain 5-6 properties.now I want to log each property at one minute interval timestamp.I am logging property by using stream.shall I create 100+ stream for each equipment 1:1 ratio or 20 stream for 20 plants one stream for one plant.database is PostgreSQL.If I query historical data in future it should not affect on performance.please suggest best way to do this.  

Our user base has been asked for potential reasons or issues that upgrading may benefit the user productivity. In my opinion, its really difficult to know what is going to help and or hurt users when upgrading, especially when users don't typically know what benefit is in future releases. So, I'm asking for help from the Community for reasons I can give to improve our chances of getting the upgrade process moving. Two reasons I know of currently are potential improvement of datum plane display on drawings and multibody part support which I have yet to see if it might improve our welded structures. What else?

Hello,I want to plot some functions:   And the function f2(t) should look similar to the function f1(t), not exactly, but something like f1(t) looks.   The problem is that the graph of the function f2(t) is displayed only when I increase the time axis so much (10^1, 10^2, 10^3, etc), which is a bit much because I want to see this part (see image below) from the beginning as it looks, not a straight line   And not like this (see image below), because I want to be able to see the transient/beginng part much more, how will look (like the image shown above) Good: Bad Bad   I would like, if it is possible, to plot both functions on the same graph and to be able to see the beginning part for the function f2(t) just as I can see it in the case of the function f1(t)   Mathcad Prime 7 file attached.Thanks.  

Hi, I am looking for an option, if any, to choose between multiple config.sup files while starting Creo.The scenario is we work for both 2 different companies A and B. Both have their own set of config requirements.so, is it possible to have 2 separate config.sup files each company a piece and then be able to choose one among these while starting Creo??@MartinHanak @VladimirN @TomU 

Hello, I am currently using a Query Spec to look for all WTParts that match a specific query (query for name or number).I am also applying a SearchCondition with Iterated.LATEST_ITERATION = true to look for the latest iteration. spec.appendWhere(new SearchCondition(WTPart.class, Iterated.LATEST_ITERATION, SearchCondition.IS_TRUE), new int[]{index}); I am now trying to expand the query by a latest revision filter since with the Iterated.LATEST_ITERATION = true it returns the latest iterations of all revisions but I only need the latest iteration of the latest revision of this part. Using the Windchill Search I was able to do exaclty this but I need this as a Java Query. i requested and received a .dat license file, but when I apply it I get the following error message:11/22/2022 12:36:18 PM : The license request failed.Requesting MathcadPrime ...C:\Program Files\PTC\Mathcad Prime 8.0.0.0\sw_license_email_90222.dat: (-103) Cannot checkout an uncounted license within a Windows Terminal Services guest session.I've now tried this twice with two different license files.

Of the latest M numbers for Creo 4.0, are there any levels that you have found to be more stable/unstable than other?   We are hoping to move to Creo 7.0 later this year.

Since our old system (pre-pdf's) was set up that each tab on a DRW was set up as a separate DWG. It has been decided that each tab needs to be a separate PDF. Any thoughts on how to separate this out? Either during the export process or after the fact?   We do not have a large amount of multi-tab(sheet) drawings, so separating them after export could work too, but during the export process would be even better.

Not necessarily a Creo issue, but with Acrobat Reader, does any know how to have the .pdf always open on the secondary monitor?

I would like the green lines from sheet metal to either be black on white background or white on black background.   From this post: https://community.ptc.com/t5/System-Administration/Config-pro-option-to-change-color-of-export-to-DWG-s/m-p/569354   I can see where I turned everything to black and white, but the sheet metal lines still turn up green. Any thoughts?

  When we radially pattern a feature, we need centering circle, hole etc. NX has an option like between two points. It is very useful when there is no feature in the center of pattern axis. We love Creo:)

Hi,Is it possible to run the EMS (wsems.exe) without any command prompt window.When we run EMS using wsems.exe file it opens a command prompt window to show the logs, but we want to run EMS without any window. User can check the logs in the log file when ever he/she wants but the command prompt window should not be available for the user to close. 

I have a UDF which creates cuts and automatically numbers the cuts around a circular part.  The numbers are in the correct place, but I want them to be rotated so they are readable from the center.  Is there a way to do this? 

Does anyone know how to use the purge function on subordinate UDF files (.gph)? The UI is the old menu manager, and I am not able to find instructions on how to actually operate it. I am able to purge the reference model that is driving the gph file, but the UDF purge seen below I am not able activate.
