■Q6:How to draw a freehand curve fitting the surface of the model?The command under the"Style/curve/COS" only can draw on a single surface, it can not across adjacent surfaces.  

 Multiple display issues under the "perspective mode", Are these some kind of well-intentioned functional design? The visibility of the sketch is completely random depending on the point of view.   I know the only way to avoid these is to turn off the "perspective mode". But what confuses me is why?  Example 1: round corner disappearedExample 2: a simple circle disappearedif there is no center mark or filled color, you can not see the sketch at all, just like the "round corner" example aboveExample 3:In fact, it's much more than that, if you use the "delete segment" tool under the "perspective mode", it will cut the segment When your mouse doesn't actually touch or hover over that line segment. It's like they told you that every building within 1 km of the factory will be demolished, yet your house is 1.5 km away and it's still being demolished

Q5:How to convert the "offset of line_A" into a common or normal curve like an editable freehand curve?  

When I try to calculate the cross product of two three element vectors I get an error message on the first vector"This value must be a 3-element vector".  I am using Mathcad Prime 8.0.0.0. I have a skeleton model. I include a tank and some 2'x4' to get a sense of how big my structure needs to be.I then use the parts from the skeleton model with the solidify feature in assembly mode to create my 2'x4' parts. I then create some copper bus bars and attach them to the top wooden beam where the cables will mount to. I want the holes in them to be aligned with the center plane of each cable. I made this part by creating part in active assembly, and activating it, and copying the geometry of the cables and the top 2'x4'. I sketched on the face of the 2'x4'. I am constrained to using 2"x8" pieces of copper as my bus bars, so I create the holes in these pieces first to be symmetric. I then activate my wooden 2'x4' at the top, and copy the geometry of these holes. I create an axis. I create a hole of the same size. I get circular references. What bad practice did I do here? I know I could make the holes in the wood piece first, and create the busbar to fit in with these holes

Hi everyone. Do any of you experienced structural engineers use PTC MathCAD Express (free version of MathCAD) at work? If so, would you recommend it, and why or why not?I've used it before for school, but I experienced some limitations with it (for example, the # of rows permitted in a table is limited, whereas on Excel it's not). Compared to Excel, I like how the finished calculations look so clean and polished on MathCAD, as well as how the software takes care of units. However, if Excel is more versatile and better for structural engineering work than the free version of MathCAD, then I'm sticking with Excel. Thank you in advance for your expertise!

Objective: To pass in variable into substitute command. ex: execute("substitute 'src'dst'") Problem: Arbortext $ERROR says its parsing error claiming a missing variable. However testing response($outputVariable) provides the expected value output to the screen. Q3:XZ plane is my sketch plane, How to get the“perpendicular projection point” G of point K ? I can't do that by the snap tool or project tool. (the "S" shape curve is drawn in the ZY sketch plane )  

Iam creating users, usergroups, organisation in runtime. But how to attach usergroup to one organisation using API or service ?   

I have a reoccuring issue I am sure there is an easy fix for but I cant find it. scenario: I create a family table of parts and create a drawing for the generic version. I then copy the drawing to a different drawing number and replace the model in the drawing using the model replace function in the menu manager. now these parts are slightly different.. may have different number of holes, etc. I do not dimension the model. I create all dimensions in the 2D drawing.when I change the notes or add / delete dimensions on the copied drawing it changes / deletes them on the generic. and vise versa. for example. a hole diameter dimension with a dimension text saying typ. 8 places on the generic drawing. change to typ. 6 places on the copied drawing. go back to the generic and the 8 places has changed to 6.. change it back to 8 and the copied drawing changes....Why are these drawings with different file names dynamically linked to each other? how do you break that link?

Hello,I noticed that when we use the function ''Merge/Inheritance'', we can activate the option ''Toggle Inheritance''. This allows to integrate the copied functions in the model tree of the part and the associativity link between the reference model and the part remains established. In case of changes in the reference model, the part can be updated with a regeneration. Unfortunately, it is only in this way. If the part is modified, the reference model will not be corrected. Are there any improvements planned in this case?Best regards.

As per this thread - same issue   Dear Collegue!I have tried these Resolution but nothing worked!I have the MathCAD 8 express free version and I can´t open the .mcdx file.Till today there weren't any Problems opening the file. The Problem is I can neither open it nor convert to pdf but need the calculations ://And I am speechless because its a very important file to me and I need it for University.I would be very thankful if somebody could help me!!! If somebody could convert it to pdf it would be enough for me.   In kind regards!

where is generateGUID(); service present in thingworx. Will this provide unique id for every service execution ? So we dont need to verift this ID again ?

I am working in Creo 6 with an older drawing created in Creo 3.  I have added a flatness callout as can be seen in the attached screenshot labeled "flatness_left".  Creo will not allow me to flip the flatness control frame over to the right side.  When I try to move it to the right, it only gives me a bent leader line as can be seen in the screenshot labeled "flatness_right".  Is there a way to have the flatness frame be on the right with a straight and vertical leader?

Dear community,  I have a question about Thingworx SCO Connected User license.   According to PTC license agreement, page 19, "This license does not entitle the user to general view access in Windchill nor the ability to install and use ThingWorx Navigate View apps. Hello All, I've been having problems while creating an experience for Hololens 2. When I try to switch sequences using JS, the hololens wont change the sequence. I've added the PVI files of the sequences, that used to fix the problem, but not this time. I've made a workaround by splitting the sequences to different models, but now i can't toggle the model visibility when a sequence is selected. The model opacity also cannot be changed when the sequence is selected. My workaround was to change the scale of the models to 0.01 to hide them, but this not a good solution. Is there a proper fix for these bugs? Best wishes Alex
