Hi folks,   Please look at simple assembly flex_top_asm.asm. It contains one component flex_part2.prt.  In part thre are defined: a) 3 dimensions as flexible (open file in new window, then File >  Prepare > Model Properties > Flexible > Dimensions); b) 3 parameters as flexible (open file in new window, then File >  Prepare > Model Properties > Flexible > Parameters);   Based on PTC sample I've modified method, that should be started on asm level. As a result, component flex_part2.prt will be changed into flexible one, and in Varied Items table dimensions will be shown.   Question is: How to do it with parameters. I have an existing BOM table that has this in it as a repeat region relation: IF asm_mbr_type == "BULK ITEM"quantity = "AR"ELSEquantity = rpt_qtyENDIF   I am now trying to create a new BOM table that is formatted differently and when I cut and paste the relations from the existing table into the new table, it gives me errors. IF asm_mbr_type == "BULK ITEM"errorInvalid symbol 'asm_mbr_type' found.quantity = "AR"ELSEquantity = rpt_qtyerrorInvalid symbol 'rpt_qty' found.ENDIF   Very confusing as to what Creo is doing. I have both the old and the new table in the same drawing. Old table puts AR in the QTY column, new table fails to verify and won't do anything.   I had some issues trying this with Creo 4 M080 and now I am on Creo 7.0.5.0 and seeing the same error. Does anyone have an idea what I am missing?  

Hello comunity,   In relation to  AWS IoT and Reducing messaging costs with basic ingest  I wonder if kepware configuration for the IoT Gateway client is able to resolve the topic format of $aws/rules/topic.   Anyone with previous successful experience about this? When I try to insert an object by selecting paint brush I cannot do it because there is a message that says "parent application is busy: can't insert a new object. Make sure that all the dialogs are closed and try again.", this is happening since I upgrade to windows 11, please could you tell me how can I fix it ?

Does anyone know if it is possible to create your own lattice types in Creo?  The "Custom" and formula-based options weren't quite what I hoped from the names.  Yet I am surprised that even some very common standard lattices aren't included by default.  In particular, I would like to be able to make log-pile and octet-truss lattices. Any advice anyone might provide on how to make Log-pile and Octet-truss lattices in Creo would be greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone I have an assembly with a master rep., and when I open it a lot of the parts are hidden.If I unhide the parts, saves the assembly, close it and open it again the parts are back to hidden again in the master rep. It is pretty annoying because my other simplified reps does not look wright before I unhide the parts in the assembly. Any suggestions to what I am doing wrong here? Best regards Claus

To allI was writing a couple of simple transfer functions in a document when it crossed my mind to check if Mathcad 15 could change the fraction to a partial fraction form - some kind of intellectual (professional?) curiosity more than anything. Of particular interest was to check if I could get the residual (of the fraction).Well it does not quite work out-of-the box. Most likely a reflection of me not using the defined keywords correctly but I expected mcad 15 to return a better partial fraction (based on the examples).What is wrong syntax-wise?thanks

We've had a couple users who have reported issues where they can't attach a file (pdf or doc) into a WTDoc, either in the associate new command or the replace content command.  the browse button opens and allows a file to be selected, but normally you then see a green bar load right under the file name.  it works for me, but the other people that bar just stops part-way and nothing uploads.  It works for IE and Firefox, but not for Chrome or Edge.  Must be a setting somewhere, but we've opened up pop-up blockers and cookies and everything seems matched as far as we can see.  not exactly sure what other settings might be influencing the Windchill behavior only on the Chromium engine, but I'm open to ideas.  thanks!

Has anyone come up with a simple approach to handling values with units that are then used in an expression that has exponents on the values.  For example, I know there has been previous discussion of concrete compressive strength, f"c being used in an expression where the square root of f'c is used.  The solution seems to be to divide out the units under the radical. In the case of a fractional exponent, i.e., (12 in) ^1.5, I am dividing the value by the units (inches in this case) and the result is acceptable. Thank you for your input and suggestions.  Perhaps the people at PTC can issue an instruction paper on handling units and exponentiation.

When we are in CREO when we superimpose views with a white part on a colored part there is no transparency effect. When printing pdf the views overlap and the white part appears transparent.This phenomenon only occurs when a part has a white skin.Can you help us ?

I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.2.0Hi, I have an assembly that is comprised of 3 parts. One part is fixed and the other two are gear like but have non-standard gear teeth. The parts with teeth do not rotate in the same plane like a spur gear and not at a 90 deg. right angle like a bevel gear. I've tried creating a mechanism using pin joints on the two moving parts, but the mechanism function doesn't allow me to define this as a gear mechanism. Also tried applying '3D contacts' to the surface of the teeth but apparently the surfaces on the teeth are not planer or cylindrical and are not selectable as such. Need help in defining a functional mechanism that will simulate the motion of the teeth as they rotate. We just need to view the meshing clearances as the parts move, not necessary for the parts to be motor driven (hand movement will suffice). As such, we need the meshing teeth surfaces to come in contact with each other. Any suggestions??Here are the errors that I facednone
