I have looked for an answer in the various posts but have not found anything, so here is the question. I am using Arbortext Editor 5.3. We have a couple of script files (init.acl and user.acl) on a network folder, say s:\scripts. To avoid network latency the script files are copied to a local hard drive and loaded from there when Arbortext is executed. Occasionally one or more of these scripts may change. I want to make it easy for users to check for updates by providing an menu option they can use.  The idea is it checks the version of the local script and then checks the version of the network script.   In each script file I put a version that I want to check against later, e.g $initscriptver=1 and $userscriptver=1,  what I want to do in my check_for_updates.acl script is something similar to the following: Open the network script file (e.g. s:\scripts\init.acl) Find the line containing the version number (e.g. $initscriptver=1) Extract the version number from th

Hi all, first post here.   I'm trying to learn a bit more of Mathcad, instead of solving problems on several lines of Excel for a finite discretization.   The problem I’m studying is a very real and common situation of cascade gas filling.   It consists of a source (infinity size for simplicity) feeding start-empty vessel (1atm) thought a regulator valve that obey a function critical or sub-critical flow rate f(Delta P), until both source and vessel pressure are equalized. Then plotting a Pressure Vs Time for that system. I'm in that uncomfortable loop once again   I can't get PTC matched going due to a glitch with the licensing system.      I get this message (see screen capture) when attempting to install a license using the License Wizard.   So, what's the next step?

Hi ,   I want to create a folder in a thingworx repository to be able to upload a file in it. When I evaluate a range variable in a trigonometric function it works fine. But the problem comes in when I assign this trigonometric function containing the range variable to another variable. I get an error on the range variable that says, "This value must be a scalar or a matrix." The sheet is attached.

Hello guys, when creating threaded holes, Creo always adds an annotation to them (see attachment). These are annoying since I never use them and they mess up my screen when working with e. g. GTOL annotations. Is there a config option or a layer tree rule to turn them off or hide them? (I know I can turn off all annotations by toggling the annotation button, but that is not what I want to do as there are some annotations I actually need).   Greetings

Hello,   I was wondering weither it would be possible to store the data i pull from my DB inside a stream?I succefuly made the connexion to Mssql and i am able to query those data using a service. The reason behind this is that i'd like to be able to iterate through or use the recent temperature data stored in the stream inside a subscription that does some manipulations for me.   Thank you in advance

In WindchillDS 11.0, there is an Append to existing Data button which has been required in past upgrades to bring in the older version LDIF file into the current version. In Windchill 11.1 M020, that button is not there. When I did an import of my 11.0 LDIF, it overwrote the whole LDAP and the UpgradeManager now fails. How do we import/Append the LDIF from Windchill 11.0 into Windchill 11.1?  

I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.4.0Creo 2.0 External Copy Geometry features allowed us to uncheck the Dependent option and delete the component reference via Reference Viewer. The message would display the feature will be frozen. This allowed us to 'clean' the model for the PDM system functions like save-as, or open. We could bring back the link by using Edit on the ECG and checking the dependent box.Creo 7.0 ECG No dependency option permanently deletes the link with no ability to bring it back, like Creo 2.0. Is there any method in Creo 7 to replicate the Creo 2.0 functionality?      

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 3.0 (connected) 3.0 M190Fixture disappears after being applied to manufacturing assembly model.Here are the errors that I faced No errors or messages. Fixture simply does not show in the assembly after placing. This apparently has been an issue since prior to Creo 1.0. What is the cause of this and how can I work around it?

Hello Community,   I am a fairly new user to Creo parametric and its application interface. I am trying to code a new menu tab inside of creo parametric 7.0. I would like to connect an external application to this menu tab so that information from the mentioned external application is accesible within creo parametric 7.0 via this menu tab.    I have been looking for solutions and searching around in the forums and documentation websites and i came across stuffs like Jlink, PTC toolkit java and C++ and some other similar stuffs but i have little idea about how they work as i have limited knowledge in coding and IT stuffs. Hence i have been spinning around in circles for the past few weeks.   I would be really grateful if someone can give me some hints or at least point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance.

FOR A REASON OR ANOTHER THE SOLVER DOESN'T PERFORM THE INTEGRATION.   The program is typically solving for  Int [a to b]  (Ax+B)^(-3) dx.      --------However, I have several Matrices defined.-------      Initially the first matrix in the Integrand function resulted in errror : <Not a Singular Matrix.>     Thus recognizing the matrix as x, I redefined x as xn, and dxn.  Please see Theta2 equation.     I know the solution, I wish for the program to simplify future problems.

Hi,  I am trying to export one of the entities from 8.4 and import in 9.2  but that entity in 8.4 has dependency on other entities which has been removed in 9.2.   In my case these two entities in 8.4 has been removed in 9.2 Entity Type Entity Name Data Shape • PTC.ISA95.PhysicalAssetCapabilityTestSpecificationThingTemplateList Thing Template • PTC.ISA95.PhysicalAssetCapabilityTestSpecificationThingTemplate   What is the alternate solution for the removed entities?  

When service sending datas to list widget, loading symbol is coming. Once the loading symbol stopped, the list is not having all of its datas(it is empty). it takes even more time to get the datas after the loading symbol stops. How to handle this? I want to increase the loading symbol timing (or) list should get and display the datas once loading symbol ends. 

Any REST API is there to speedup the execution of the code?? or any other possibility is there to speedup the execution??

Hi Developers,   I need your help on tab menu in ThingWorx 8.5.8.   I added a "Tab_geCore" on my Mashup but cannot see the tab menus. (see attached image files in more details.)   How can I adjust it ?

Our corporate IT folks have recently "flagged" our installation of FlexLM as being out of date and asked that it be updated (from 11.14 to the latest 11.16 version). I've got the permissions necessary on the network server to let me do this, but just wondered if anyone has any advice about the smartest way to do it. Things I'm concerned about: (1) Do I need to generate a new license file for our particular Creo 4.0 modules? Or will the license file currently installed be okay? (2) Is it possible to do an actual "upgrade", or do I need to uninstall the old version and then install the new one? I've never upgraded a license server before - always was in the situation of the server failing or changing and needing to do a fresh install with new NIC information, etc. Are there any other potential problems that I should prepare for? One would think that an update would be similar to other programs where it's just a quick process, but FlexLM is not like other software, is it. Thanks for any h
