We have a small Windchill customization created by a PTC consultant several years ago. This customization is called from ThingWorx with a wtpart ID.  The customization collects representations of the wtpart and copies the content (typically PDF files) to a folder on the Windchill server to make it available to ThingWorx.  The customization does a few things to get ApplicationData objects from the wtpart, then uses the ApplicationData object in a call to ContentServerHelper.service.writeContentStream() to download the file(s).   I'm using an OData endpoint in ThingWorx to get all the information I need about the representations, so I want to modify the Windchill customization to simply (hopefully) obtain a file given an ID like OR:wt.content.ApplicationData:12125968441.  I'm assuming there is a way I can get the ApplicationData object from the ID string, then use the existing code to obtain the file.   My question is:  In the Windchill API, how can I g

Sometimes I like to animate flexible things that can't be done with kinematics (e.g. springs), or setup complicated simulations depending on a time parameter.  Setup a relation such as "value = value + 1", and the model will update with every regeneration.  Then save an image file after each update, and create a GIF (or other video file) with the results.  This is pretty easy to do if you only have a small number of frames, but for a large number, the lack of automation will become a problem.   I had initially thought I could automate this with a mapkey, but I hit a brick wall trying to save an image with a unique filename each time.  (I got as far as using relations to compose a properly formatted filename, getting a mapkey to copy the value, and paste into the filename field when saving the image... but turns out mapkeys are actually not capable of copy/paste operations on playback.)  I wound up creating a mapkey that calls a windows batch file, which wr

Hi alls,I can't install Corel Draw (2020 - 2021) nor Corel Technical 2020 on Windows 10 when Creo2 & Creo7 are installed.I've noted this on 2 computers.On one of them, I've got a second win10 (dual boot) without PTC software and I can install Corel without problem.Very strange but it's the only difference.Instead of normal Corel installer Window, I get image attached and nothing happen.Does someone knows if there is any compatibility problem with Corel installer ?Any advice ?Thanks

I created a sequenced experience in Vuforia Studio implementing a Thingmark. Now, I want to create the same experience but using a Model Target. But, when I implement the Model Target it tells me that it has too many parts or complex geometry. So, I created several simplified versions of the model to be able to implement it with the Model Target. This model has 500 triangles and a single piece. But a recommendation message appears to use color. And the experience cannot be published, the same error message appears. It asks me to use a more optimized version of the model. I don't know what else to optimize. Color is mandatory? Could you help me with this?   Thanks in advance.

When we run ModelCheck in Save mode, the report does not always get displayed for the user to see. I have the following settings in the config_init.mc file.   # Show ReportSHOW_REPORT YN Y Y Y Y #HTML report creationHTML_FILE_OUTPUT YN Y N N Y   Is there another setting or something in the code that does not display the results like on a second save of the same file? I have modified the templates\mctabarea.js to always display the info and pass checks.

As per this thread - similar issue   @OliverGräbner Is there a limit on the number of hole charts we can specify with SCR_THREAD_SERIES_THREAD? Using Creo 4 M150 and IFX40-M041, it seems like only the first 5 will load into IFX, but we would like to use 6 to get different hole notes for key and knife inserts.   SCR_THREAD_SERIES_THREAD STD_THD M_THD STD_KEY M_KEY STD_KNF M_KNF   Switching the order changes leads to the last one not loading: SCR_THREAD_SERIES_THREAD STD_THD M_THD STD_KNF M_KNF M_KEY STD_KEY  

Hello, I have a similar question. How can i call a .vbs or .ps1 script from the javascript thats triggered in RVS? I tried to use  this [ var objShell = new ActiveXObject("wscript.shell"); ] but it throws error stating ActiveXObject not defined. is there any other way i can call powershell scripts using triggered javascripts? is there any java package that i can directly use? Hi team, this questions may have come already but I haven't find an answer yet. A big customer is looking to purchase a big batch of licences for chalk, they are concerned about how they can control the new licenses that some individuals in the company could purchase in the future. When buying different licences in different time spams, will there still be a single administrator for a defined company? or there will be one administrator for each license bought?    Also will the Administrator account for chalk count as a named user or as a host? Or is there a way that the administrator only have access to control the admin center but is not able to consume the slots for the users or hosts?   Hope you could give me some guidance   VF

Hello, maybe somene can help me, on our test environment we are pushing PRO_MP_MASS from Creo into Windchill with success but it come in as 15 character floating point notation, so a washer with a mass of 0.01 from Creo shows as 1.0 E-2   There are 2 objectives for this data, 1) export to excel to perform mass roll-ups, 2) Use it for Creo View colour coded searching of CAD mass against actual or predicted mass   For the 1st objective the floating point notation is OK becuase we can manipluate it in Excel, for the second objective it isnt possible to perform colour coded search in Creo View unless mass is shown as 3 decimal places.   So is it possible to create a calculated attribute which can convert the floating point attribute linked PRO_MP_MASS into a 3 decimal place result?   I know we can make a different parameter in Creo and use relations to push 3 decimal place value to Windchill, but this relies on having some automation to add the parameter when updating p

Hi, My clients are in poland region their regional settings to separate decimal value is using commas,, for ex: 0,25 to be considered as 0.25  but in thingworx if I update the decimal field in localization table as dot to comma it is not working. 

Can't renew my student license... I've tried reinstalling and running setup, which seemed to work.  I have the new license .dat file, it let me pick it and continue, but doesn't seem to recognize it.  When Creo 6.0.2.0 loads it tells me I'm not licensed and to renew.  When I try to enter my user name and password it says "User Not Verified"Any help out there? I'm trying to easily change the line color for FOMR and HOLE(EXTRUDE) using a combination of toolkit and mapkey.As shown in the video, after collecting the form shape, the intended operation was attempted by changing the line color.(view in My Videos) However, an unexpected result appeared.If HOLE(EXTRUDE) occurs before the FORM shape, the HOLE(EXTRUDE) color is not changed.   How to make the function work smoothly...When modeling in Creo, is it best to design the FORM first and then use HOLE(EXTRUDE)? Hello!Is there, in Mathcad, some possibility to hide the units in equation, which is presented using explicit function from Symbolic toolbar, and show unit again at result?Why Mathcad do not have such possibility to hide units in some part of equation and present them again if this is necessary for example at result? Hi Community,   When I use an underscore ( _ ) in a Creo View sequence name it converts it in the .pvi file to ( _5F )  when I publish the PVZ.   Example: sequence_1 becomes sequence_5F1.pvi   Thanks for fixing this bug.   Best wishes,   Alex

I am still in the process for which version of mathcad to go with. I was wondering if you would be able to help me out. I did a conversion from Mathcad 15 to Prime 7 but it seems that it converted the table in 15 to a matrix and now none of the equations work anymore. Is this something you can help me with?

During migration, importing extensions failed. Log shows "Export file missing version information. No migration will be performed.". What should be updated in the extension for the successful import??? 

This non-Western font (in the red circle) has been appearing for some time in the print preview phase. Is there a way to delete it and not make others appear?I thank those who will answer me.
