How to include a remoteDatabase thing to  Asset Adviosr equip list?   How to put a RemoteDatebase Thing , to be showed in the equipment lists in Asset Advisor, Production Advisor? The background is, the remote thing is an equipment with Microsoft Access Database, and we can get all necessary OEE parameters from it easily.   I have tried Kepware to connect to the access database , but it has a lot of issues on SQL query and datetime calculation logic. ------> Kepware is not OK here. so I established a RemoteDatebase thing, resp this equipment ,based on Thingworx EMS ADO services solution. And finally I can get the properties of the equipment in Composer.-----> OK to get properties with EMS solution.   However, the only issue now is,  I can't get this equipment showed in the Asset Advisor, Production Advisor, because it is based on the RemoteDatebase ThingTemplate(not PTC.ISA95.PhysicalAssetThingTemplate)...

I am able to create a thing using a service CreateThings but while using this service it doesn''t provide the param named as project so that i can provide the name of the project  that i want it to be binded.

I have created pvz which contain some layer with texture scale as shown in attached image. The layer item is shown correctly in Creo View however when we retrieve the pvz in Creo Illustrate OR Vuforia Studio then it is not shown. Whether I am missing some setting here OR it is not supported in Illustrate and Studio?

Hi guys, this is my first post so i hope I did everything right. Good old Creo is driving me nuts again: I have a legacy assembly for which i need a specific instance of a bolt (DIN7991_M3X6). Bolts according to DIN7991 are available in our standard parts library, but my needed size is not. No problem so far, I just created a new instance M3X6 in the family table and added this instance to my assembly. When opening Creo the next day, the M3X6 bolt is marked as missing. When clicking "assemble" and choosing the DIN7991 bolt, the M3X6 type is not included in the table that shows up. And here comes the magic: When creating a new assembly or opening the DIN7991 part, the instance is available and can be picked without any problems. I've spent some hours trying to figure out what the hell is wrong but can't find anything. Can someone help me out on this one?   Greetings

Hello,   I use the value of the "lastConnection" property to display the date of the last connection of the device to server. The problem is that when i save the Thing after a modification of a script in the ThingTemplate the value of the "lastConnection"  gets updated with the current date (I'm losing the date which the equipment  is really connected). Is it normal?   Thank you.

Dear All, This is a question which is unanswered from a long time / I haven't been able to identify the solution. Can anyone with past experience in your workplace tell me during auditing, how does PTC count licenses in Windchill PDMLink?  1. Will it count the actual number of active users versus the purchased licenses? OR 2. Will it count against the number of users created from day when Windchill PDMLink was installed (which includes deleted users + active users as well)?   If there is any documentation available regarding this which would at least take me near to the answer for my query would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Dear helpers,   I have a time dependent equation in x and y and I would like to export the local minimum of that equation dependent on time.  My idea was to set a time step first and then export the minimum for every time step in an (excel-)table (because I need to plot the results in excel for my diploma thesis). Therefor I tried to program a loop but it didn't work.   Is there anyone who can help me out? Is there another way to solve this?   I am thankful for every advice.   PS: the equation is w(x,y,t) at the end of the file. I set t=1 to show the results at this time in the plot.  

I have set up Thingworx with forms login, some of my users have multiple logins, as they look after other users. If they happen to already be logged into a user account and then in the same browser login again, it causes issues with the sessions data which I store in the user extensions properties.   I need as way to stop multiple logins occur on the same browser, I would be happy of there was a way to know if a user was logged in already or not, so I could then redirect the user to the home page.   I have been trying to make changes to the FormLogin.jsp page, but have had no luck so far. Is there anything I can do to see if a user already logged in from the FormLogin.jsp page? Or any other suggestions on handling this situation?

Hello,    In my company's ECR and ECN workflow for the CRB and CIB reviews I have added four people to it. Right now i have it set to where each person has to choose an option before it moves on in the workflow. The only problem is if three out of the four people say approve it moves on in the workflow. Is there someway or somewhere that I can change that function so that everyone has to choose an option and they all have to approve it otherwise it goes back to be clarified amended etc.

We have a Thingworx 8.1 server running, and I'm unable to perform any REST API calls on it. I've tried in both postman and curl at various URLs, starting from as simple as https://server.com/Thingworx/Things?appKey=[appkey] as well as on various things. No matter what, the response is a 401 with no body. The app key is valid and I've tried generating 3 or 4 different ones at this point just to make sure that they ARE valid. My user can, of course, view the things that I'm querying against (why I went for specific things instead of calling it at just /Thingworx/Things.) Anyone have pointers for what could be going wrong?

I am trying to cut the corner away from a section view to see a screw that is underneath it, in the same view. I do not want to create a separate view. I don't care what is on top of the corner, I want to see the screw that is underneath it, while still seeing the top of the rest of the board I am dealing with. Please help.

I was testing a service I wrote to allow users to create users using the CloneUserWithGroups() API.  When testing, I created a couple users while logged in as the Administrator.  That part worked fine.  My issue is: ThingWorx won't allow me to delete those users!!??   ThingWorx returned a Delete Failure error message saying, "Editable System Objects Cannot Be Deleted."   I've removed those users from the groups the Administrator is in, but I'm still getting the same error message.    

Hi,   I am trying to create a trigger that will take in a value from a field and convert it into a hyperlink and then send it back to the field in Integrity. For example, if a user inputted the value "Tree" into the integrity field, the trigger will take that value and convert it into a hyperlink for the following website: google.com/Tree. It will take this hyperlink and it will replace the value of the field to the newly created hyperlink. Similarly, if a user was to input the value "cat". It will create a hyperlink to the website: google.com/cat and replace the old field value with this hyperlink.   Below, I have included a code that I have so far. It is able to take in the value from a field in Integrity and it will change the value into the link and send it back to that field. The only thing it is missing is creating the hyperlink itself so when I click on it, it will take me to this URL.   &n

But, when I read the DataSource in the WS task , it's always null. Who have idea how to fix such issue? Is there a full sample for created SOAP WS with attachment?   Thank you.
