Used ipconfig and requested a license for one of the physical addresses.Received license from PTCAfter navigating to the license, the Licensing Error gui said, "If you need to obtain a node-locked license, your machine’s host ID is required. The host ID for this machine is XX-XX-XX-3C-7A-00.” (I put in the "XX's") XX-XX-XX-3C-7A-00 is not in the ipconfig list of laptop's physical addresses, but anyway, I requested a new license using “XX-XX-XX-3C-7A-00.”The license does not work because it is not a physical address for the machine. This also happened to another user a few years and the host ID at that time was identical to the one we are seeing now  - XX-XX-XX-3C-7A-00. Different user, different laptop, different year. PTC sent me a new license from the list of physical addresses I submitted then. Now, they are not understanding my issue and resent me “XX-XX-XX-3C-7A-00.” What am I doing wrong? 

Editor/styler 8.2   I made a foldout context to duplex the second foldout. The issue is that it keeps making a third red page.   Error says  <Level>ERROR</Level><Message>Pg 3 New page sequence not specified;used fallback 'defaultPage'. [1035] (1:"editorDom0"#{2;/}) </Message> What does it mean? I have my foldout page set      

I am trying to add header cells to my custom troubleshooting table.  I am following the tutorial in Styler help:   I add a name in the Name field, and 'Possible Cause' or '' (I tried both methods) in the XPath field.  When I click OK the blue circle spins a bit and the dialog closes, but there are no new cells listed in the Generated header cells field:     I checked the sfes, and nothing was added there either.Am I doing something wrong, or does this feature not work for some reason?  We are running this on Editor/Styler 7.1. and using DITA 2.0 as our architecture.

I was able to display my element as a Custom Table by defining Table, Row and Cells  using Arbortext Styler. But since I now need to alter the content of the cells, I tried defining Generated Cells using XPath but I never was able to make the content to show.  Here is the configuration I have : The elements themselves : Can you explain why I am never able using XPath to generate content cells, this is very crucial for me to being able to do such. I am using Arbortext Editor version 8.2.3.0 however, the contracting company used Arbortext Editor 6.0. I used the contracting company's XML to create one in Arbortext 8.3.2.0. Is there a compatibility issue with using aXML created with Arbortext Editor version 6.0 and creating a new XML version in Arbortext Editor 8.2.3.0?Is there an issue with the publishing service? I obtain the fatal error when publishing (see attached titled  image.png).  

I want to be able to set a particular font and size for the category Generated Text in the styler.  I don't see any font settings inside the window when editing the generated text.  All I'm able to do is specifying Normal, Bold, Italic and so on. Thanks for your precious help and advices.

I have applied a condition to a context of the 'p' element in Arbortext Styler. And when I point to the text in editor it highlights this context and the sub-condition correctly. But when I publish the pdf the styling defined for the condition like text color, size, indent, etc., don't reflect in the published PDF.How can I debug this issue to find out where is the styling coming from for this element and how can I change it?Here's a snap of the mentioned context and condition with the document structure in editor in the background: 

Hi,What would I need to do to be able to update the resource manager so that when I need to create a new topic and insert it into the map, my custom topic document type is available. This option should be useable for everyone. I know I would normally use the point the aptcustom environment variable to a specific location. But my custom dita doc types are stored outside of the conventional folder. Google is not turning up any results for me. For reference, I already have a custom_init.acl file in my custom folder. The path to this folder is already set in my aptcustom environment variable. So I think ideally, I would need to change something in this acl, but not sure what. All I know after this point is that I need to be able to provide a link somehow to where my custom dtd's are.

Hello,In my bookmap I have different layers (part/chapter/topicref), if I use profiling on one layer, then profiling on a child layer of this layer does not work.For example: I have 3 products A, B and CChapter1 (profiled for B and C)- Topicref1 (profiled for B)- Topicref2 (profiled for C)- Topicref3 (not profiled)Now if I publish with profile A, nothing will show (as expected).But if I publish with profile B (or C) then the 3 topicref will appear when I'm only expecting 2 (Topicref1 and Topicref3 for B).Am I missing something?

Hi All,I am working on creating templates for the company. Basically, at some point, I would need to aggregate the documents from other teams into a super document.Map product 3 - key def (company name) - map reference - product 1  -- key: product_name = product1  -- text for product 1, " This is product 1 " - map reference - product 2  -- key: product_name = product2  -- text for product 2 " this is product 2 " output desiredblah blah blah "product 3" - this is product 1 - this is product 2 not desired outputblah blah blah "product 3" - this is product 3 - this is product 3 I think I might be explaining it poorly, but I'm not too familiar with this. Hello, i have searched this forum and found the "HotKeys" commands for ISO.1. why is this not included in online HELP?2. there is no TRIM / BREAK command in the HELP manual 3. we've watched the PTC vid on youtube  (9:47),  and it does not show the guy click on F5 or F6?4. when click on F5 and/or F6 , it would give me an error of, see below. Hello All,Good day!!I am experiencing an issue updating the Publishing Engine URL in Arbortext (Tools → Preferences → Publishing Engine). We initially set the URL to an intra-site URL, but now I need to change it to an mc2 site URL. I discovered that the intra-site URL value is specified in the sitepref.xml file on our server.After updating the PE URL in sitepref.xml file to the mc2 site, the change is reflected, but it is not connecting properly.Arbortext Version - 8.2.1.0I have attached the error for your reference.Thanks in advance

We are utilizing the out of the box DocBook (Arbortext XML DocBook V4.0) stylesheet with a few modifications to the stylesheet.We are publishing utilizing the "For Web" option which works great. However, we would like to add a Search option within the HTML output.Can someone guide me on how to add that? or is there a stylesheet developers guide that has instructions how to add it? Thank you in advance.Sarah

Can we set title wise style template set in 3B2 including conditions. Template: Automate the styling implementation when a title is clicked and allow only the specific team to access and implement changes to the updated content.
