Windchill

We have a procedure that asks users to conduct a keyword search (we use indexing) for the document they are going to change. They can simply export the search but they need to modify it to add the text string (number) that they searched for. Anyone know how to create a report that would list the results and the number searched for and when it was conducted?

Hi,   I need to send a Soap message from Windchill to a thirdpary application, but also include a binary content in the message, in my case a CAD file.   I have found the following Info*Engine Webject that I believe I can use to send teh actual soap message:   Call-SOAPService   But has anyone tried to attach binary content to the webject? The content stream itself I can get from the webject:  Get-ContentItems I have also found examples of how to get the File Stream onto an email, ./prog_examples/adapter/windchill/tasks/infoengine/examples/adapter/windchill/contentItem/Email.xml   but I cannot find out how to add it as binary content into the SOAP message.   Does anyone have any idea? /Gustav

Is there any way to move the location of where the username displays in the banner?  We recently upgraded from 10.1 to 11.0.  The company logo I use is too wide in the new version.  

This is the only statement I can find, and it doesn't seem like it's talking about the same thing.  None of the Matrices mention a Windows version.  This would be for publishing Creo 4.0+ and SolidWorks 2017+ with Windchill 11.0.  The current setup is using Creo Adapters 4.0 on a Windows 7 machine.   Seems odd that the MCAD Adapters Install Guide doesn't show which versions of Windows are supported for a separate publishing system.

Hi,   Has anyone used the &pageSize=n URL modifier successfully on the Occurrences table as described in CS Article 281046? (https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS281046) I am trying it in Windchill 10.1 and 11.1 and never getting more than 500 items exported from the Occurrences table when it has ~750 items. PTC says its supposed to work, but I cannot find the magic that makes it work.   -Scott

Hey all, Sometime last quarter, my Windchill (11.0 M030-CPS02) started showing dates in the European format of dd/mm/yy.  This is very confusing as 03/07/2018 led us to believe a file was Checked-In on March 7th, but it wasn't.  It was July 3rd. What could have changed that ('cause I know I didn't and I'm the only Bus-Admin here)?   More importantly, how do I change it back!!  I could've sworn it was never like this before!   please help...

A few of my co-workers keep getting the error "IgnoreUnresolvedRole Notification" message email whenever they receive a task that needs to be completed or a review that needs to be done. Does anyone know how I would be able to fix this problem?  

This error message pops up when I attempt to check in a part. I have tried accessing Vault Configuration but the pop up window does not load when I click the link.   Any advise on how to address this?   Thanks

Hello,   I am attempting to generate a bill of material directly from WindChill using parameters added to the CREO models in my assembly. Some parameter examples are Title, Part_number, Description, Supplier, etc. For some reason when I attempt to generate a multilevel report from WindChill, I can add columns for the title and part number parameters, but not for the description and supplier parameters. The latter parameters are not listed as column options. I'm not sure why this is the case; as far as I can tell, each parameter is defined identically.   Has anyone run into this before? Hi All, I am unable to find MPMLink explorers in actions menu in Windchill 11.1 M010. I could enable PSE from preference but not finding enabling preference for MPMLink explorers like MPSE and resource explorer. "Manufacturing Associative Part Structure Browser" is available in actions but not explorers. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

When I designate an object (more specifically a feature or quilt) in Creo, how do I see it in Windchill, what will its relationship be to the CAD document, is anyone using this functionality? I am looking for a way to show that a part has published geometry from within Windchill.   Thanks

Using Windchill 11 inside Creo.   Looking at the Commonspace view of a generic of a CAD Part part. Click Related Objects tab.  The Where Used section shows no places where the generic is used.  That is not right - I know the generic is assembled to dozens of models.   Created a user-defined tab where I added the Family Tree.  Clicked on the "i" to get the Commonspace information of one of the instances. Clicked on the Related Objects.  It gives me some where used, but I know it's not all of them.   I haven't cone through the exercise, but I bet if I walk through the entire family table, I would eventually find all of the where-used.  That is a lot of work, and I can't believe that's an intended behavior or a way to modify that behavior.   There's apparently a big difference in parent/child relationships between Creo and Windchill.  Working outside of a Windchill server, the instances don't exist as stand-alone files.  They're all t

What's the ideal approach to handle security label propagation from WTPart to WTDocument.   Currently, we are trying out an approach of using identical iba values. Example :  WTPart contains an IBA call controlNumber and WTDocument in a similar fashion contains an IBA called controlNumber. When a WTPart's security label changes it looks for all WTDocuments with that value and sets its security label to the new value. We're doing this by using an modify security label audit event listener. And continuing to iron out the functionality.   Is this the only approach or is there an OOTB approach for security label propagation that we have missed.    

Does anyone know a way that you are able to load indesign files into Windchill without losing all of the links to the pictures and labels etc?

Hello all,   I have a part where changes were made changing the part from A.3 to A.4 and those changes are no longer needed at the time. I'm wondering if there is a way to check out A.3 then check in changing the part from A.3 to A.5. I would like to still keep A.4 incase we decide to revert back to that model.   Thanks!

Created a userpicker in a custom datautility and regiseterd it on a string attribute. Picker renders correctly in UI. On selecting user clicking finish windchill throws error for custom callback function saying that we cannot set value for null.
