Does anyone know why a simulation would run past the iteration limit? I had a run going yesterday set to the default 500 limit, and I didn't realize it ran right past it. I manually stopped it at the 516th iteration. I double checked and the limit was set correctly, so what could have caused that? Thanks!

I have a robot leg CAD and I need to run FEA on several key poses. Now I have these key poses stored in 'drag component' as different Snapshots (see picture below). And I have Simp Rep that hides all the non-structural components. However when I open Simulate, the model always seem to go to the default pose ('neutral_pose'). Any idea how to simulate diffrent poses?  

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.5.0I want to do structural analysis for an simple cantilever beam with varying force data from csv file can we do that in creo with its stimulaion

In Creo  Simulate, is there a method to define a rotary joint between two components in a four-bar linkage mechanism? Will apply constraints such that the assembly is fully constrained. I've tried the 'pin' joint, but it's wrt the world, not between two parts. I've also tried 'displacement' with a body-attached cylindrical csys, but no luck. 'Contact' option also doesn't work. The rotary joint seems to be a pretty basic function in FEM/FEA, am I missing anything? 

hello,i would like to ask about the creation of the force on a round surface. L'ets say we have a cylinder  and a radial force is applied, ususally the force is perpondicular to the axe of the cyliner, but on creo simulate  this was not the case , visually the force was not perpondicular    

Hello, Currently working in Creo 7.0.2.0, and was hoping to get some clarification on some of the moment of inertia calculations Creo can perform. For the assembly at hand, there is a "true reference frame," (TRF) which is what I need to calculate moments, CG distance references, etc. from. Going in part by part to find these values, I come across two MOI tensors, and I'm unsure exactly what the difference between the two are. I am using Creo Simulate Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0upon start, Creo Simulate will regenerate the model, but copied-geometry seems invisible to Simulate, causing regeneration failure.. One solution i figured out is to right-click on the copied-geometry, change 'update control' to 'manual..', which tentatively solve the problem but isn't a decent solution. Wondering if there are other solutions?

 Hello All,  In the attached snap of my assembly, i would like to constraint center point of half circular surface. For that, i was attempting to create rigid link between center point and surface of half circle. and added displacement at center point. Hello,I'm working on my first mechanism and I'm facing some issues.I set up all the servomotors and set a sequence for a position analysis, but all the motors move together in a while.So, I wanted to set a velocity profile but when I start the analysis I get errors and cannot perform it.I checked some videos and I guess I have to define the dynamic properties, but in the slider connection /translation the box isn't visible.I'm using Creo 9.0.5.Thanks,Giovanni   

Hello, I've been working with it for a long time and now I'm annoyed by creating measures for each ground spring. This is our technique of creating boundary conditions using spring to ground and we need to create a set of measures for each one of them( X Y Z reactions and amplitude of force ). Is there any possibility to automatically create any set of measures for springs? I know that all contact interfaces does this but not springs.Thanks in advance.

Looking at the Fatigue study results, can anyone offer any clarification on the Log Life values?  For this model Creo is giving me a Log Life of (20).     How does this calculate to the life of the component if the desired life in the study was set to 50K cycle

How does bonded interface in Creo simulate works like? Does it work similar to weld? Or it works as a contact? Or it will just not let the components penetrate into each other?

I am attempting to run a rather simple finite element analysis on a stainless steel rod with a moment (0.1 Nm) applied on one end and a fixed constraint on the other end. The displacement result is not what I had expected and I do not believe it to be realistic (please reference the images). The end of the rod that has an applied moment expands radially. I am attempting to replicate a benchtop test and I know that the rod does not expand radially, instead, it simply rotates and the other end deforms. Am I missing a constraint somewhere? Should I be opting for a nonlinear analysis with large deformations?  Software: Creo 8.0 P.S.: I am much more familiar with ANSYS and am a new Simulate user so any help will be greatly appreciated. 

Every time I enter into the simulate the regeneration taking too long time. Is there any technique to reduce regeneration time or can we pause it?

Hello everyone,  I hope you all are doing well, I need a small information regarding creo simulate. Is there any possibility that i can apply the loads on the mesh element? 1. Because after creating the mesh element, I would like to select the element to apply the loads unfortunately i cant select the element.  2. If i am applying two load cases, how to check the result of both the load cases.

How to define amount of points on the beam so i can plot better graphs.All my attempts failed because i have only 5 points on beam and don't know how to increase the amount of points with which creo works. I was using graphing tool from simulate results and it didn't allow me to create or interpolate thru existing points. (better way to do it woulde be to create actual points in mesh with which creo will calculate actual simulation)But how to do it? 

I am trying to simulate a fluid using to cool a component. Simulate Live fluid analysis reports a constant temperature. Just to try to get any kind of response I applied a 20kw heat load over an area in an internal flow and I can't get the temperature of the fluid to rise at all.   Is Live fluid sim capable of telling you the temp of a solid surface by simulating convection cooling?   I'm using Creo 7
