Hi all, Greetings!I need to automate export part/asm to STEP format with different options OR through different profile files in Creo. I checked Mapkey does not work. Anybody suggests how to do it? OR any API or batch files that can solve/work.
I can change the View in the Searchbox (File -> Open) of Parametric. So its possible to show also attributes instead of just the name. If i close Parametric and open the Searchbox again, Parametric will run with the default UI of the Searchbox and will show me just the Name again. How can i save this Setting. I tried it by saving the Customization_ui but it didnt work. Is it possible? If yes how can i save the setting?
Hello Mathcadeers,I could not find a way to properly set the Legend on "Chart Component". The legend only shows "1" and "2". Can I set it up to show the actual name; eg PN_Total_ADF4194 and etc? Regards,Ak
I need to ask about the possibility that Mathcad will allow me to process images through the image processing function, taken with a digital camera, to give me % failure of adhesion of a film on the material in attached image. Can I use Mathcad for basic matrix operations? Or how can I achieve this ?
When deleting a patterned part you get (2) options "Delete Pattern" and "Delete". If you are getting rid of the part completely, I have typically just chose "Delete". When this is done, the family table has a orphaned dimension left in the table for the quantity of the pattern. Why would the pattern quantity not be deleted also?
Cant install mathcad at all because there is nothing at application selection on setup
How do you resize the column widths in family table beside dragging the divider line in the header?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.2.0when ı choose profile(framework) which Bosch type like sigma, it seems only rectangular.
I ran into a large assembly that I cannot save after changing some parameters. The parameter does not seem to have anything to do with regenerating the assembly (it is date and designer name). From the warning messages that appear after I tried to save the model, I have found 2 support articles, but I could not read them. Could someone please tell me what is in these two articles? Thank you so much!https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS258240https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS112336

Hi All,I have an older version of PTC software. It is Prime 2.0.This does all my needs.I had to re-install it recently because it was hanging up or closing down while it was uploading.Just days before it did an automatic online license check, and it passed.I had Prime 2.0 for several years since it first came out.On attempting to re-install its failing to do so.Message is about a component was not installed. The screenshot is attached (Error2).I have installed WindChill....software.I direct the browser to the license file (single user). The install continues and then stop with this message.Error 1935 An error occurred during the installation of assembly component.Next a file name in brackets [.......].Followed by HRESULT:0x80073712.That is the information I have on my failed install.I will appreciate any and all help you have to get me back on with Prime 2.0.PS: The first error is indicated in file name Errorr. The 2nd error the most recent re-install error details provided above is in fil
Hello,is it possible to manage default font type/size/linestyle for cross sections?I want to follow technical drawing stadards in my country but Creo always use default font/color/linestyle for section name which is not correlating with cross section default arrow style (because it is just a note). I am missing something like these "drawing.dtl" options: crossec_font_color (valid for arrows and xsec note)crossec_font_height (valid for arrows and xsec note)
Has anyone come up with a way to export the centerline of cooling lines or solids of cooling lines from a mold design? We are being requested this from customers and simulation contractors.
Hi there , I need to create this table using programingI wrote this program , but it doesn't give me the answer I want: What I wrote in the program is if the bottom value is between z and d .....> the layer is drained and use the angle (alfa) if the bottom is greater than d and smaller than z ....> the layer is partially drained and use the angle (alfa) otherwise write the layer is not drained I need the answer two have 3 columns1# ( layer ( drained-partially- not drained)2# the angle if it is drained or partially drained .. if not drained show zero 3# if it is possible this column as well which is the layer kind it is in the table in the sheet as input Thanks Yusra The sheet is attached prime 10

Hello everyone!I have been creating with Mathcad 15, worksheets for the analysis of electrical networks stored in a particular folder for a long time. When I need to study a particular electrical network, I scroll through a file in which there is a list of all the networks studied with the images of the relative circuits. Each of them is called with a hyperlink. So I find this instruction very useful. Is it also available in Prime 10? I would be tempted to buy it if there was such an instruction.
Hello,in a toolkit application I need to know if an edge is an inner or an outer edge.In the attachment I have an example what I mean with inner and outer edge. What I have up to now:I use visit functions to get all the edges in the part model. A function to determine if the edge is "inner" or "outer" seems not to exist (I found none). But there is the function ProEdgeNeighborsGet(), which has the two surfaces for every edge as an output parameter. Is ist possible to get the inner/outer information with this two surfaces? Or is there another procedure to get the information.Any help would be appreciated.regards HP
Good morning, I'm having a similar issue, the thread note that you are seeing is a note of a cosmetic thread, In the holes made with standard hole i can apply the note that i would from the .hol file but in the hole made with cosmetic thread i'm not able to understand from where it's taken and i can't edit. Even if in the cosmetic hole thread i'm selecting the same library of the standard hole with the "right " note i'm not able to obtain the result this i want. any suggestion? Thanks! As part of our migration to Creo 8 / Windchill 12, we came up w/ smart formats fed by parameters in our new start parts. When we have a new part on a new format life is ezpz. However, if we have an existing part w/o the required parameters things get complicated. I came up w/ a mapkey to add the needed parameters to the existing part that works well when we want to put this part on a new format. Problem lies in a relation we have in our new start parts. It's the one below that sets the value of the MATERIAL parameter equal to the value of PTC_MATERIAL_DESCRIPTION. Each material has a defined description in it. /*This relation sets the material parameter equal to the material description thru a yes/no parameter IF (USE_MATL_DEF_DESC)==YES MATERIAL=material_param("PTC_MATERIAL_DESCRIPTION") ENDIF /*This information needs to be pasted int
Has anyone taken the Creo Certification courses, and if so, was it worth it? Do you maintain your certification once you've earned it? I primarily work with "complete machining" extension. I've been using Creo since 2012, currently on Creo 10. I did a lot more modeling back when I started, but now we receive models from the engineering group and I use them to program the manufacturing. I did go about reaching out to Sales about the associated costs. My fear is that the courses are sort of entry level and will be a waste of my time. It appears that it may be an opportunity to see some of the work with the High Speed Milling extensions without having to purchase those licenses. Anyhow, I'd appreciate any input on how other's experiences have been with these certification courses. Thank you,Matt
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.0.0Unable to add transitions or multiple radius values when using the D1 x D2 conic option.
When exporting a cad model as a PDF U3D I select to export annotations and parameters in the content tab however when i open Adobe Acrobat reader, I cannot find the parameters. There is a side section that has property and value columns but no which part I select those columns do not populate. Where are the parameters?
Hi,This message can also be found in the product ideas. Inseparables are used to show/save an assembly as part.Currently, while scanning the BOM an inseparable is handled as an assembly instead of a part. This leads to errors in the BOM list.- main assembly - part 1 - part 2 - inseparable 1 - part 3 - part 4 - sub assembly 1 - part 5 - inseparable 2 - part 6 - part 7 Setting "Scan Inseparable" = "OFF" (Anything located below an inseparable is used as BOM entry)=> OFF = The inseparable will be calculated=> ON = The inseparable will be ignored, parts will be calculated separate Current outcome SCAN ALL LEVELS:- part 1- part 2- part 5Expected outcome SCAN
I am having sketching problems when it comes to uniting even simple segments.Maybe my config.pro settings are off, but CREO 10 / Win10 is butchering even the simplest connections between an arc and a segment, or even between two angled segments. Is there a way to fix those red dots? Like uniting them together or something...No matter how much I magnify to see what the problem is, CREO still shows them on the same line, but in the end makes them red anyway!Drives me completely nuts!!!Maybe my settings are wrong, or not set up to snap correctly, but I do not know where to look.
I want to start to use the multibody in the sheet metal. But I need first to implement this feature in my drawing. On my drawing all my drawing, I have a table with the Radius, thickness, K-factor, and a relation that calculate the Outside Bend allowance of my part. All this information is useful for the production. I have try with a test with 2 body, I have insert the body specific information &SMT_DFLT_BEND_RADIUS and &SMT_THICKNESS in the creation of my table, But it only take the base body information. I have also try to add this &SMT_BEND_ALLOWANCE_FACTOR, but the table does not accept this info. And if their a way to have a formula that change with each body to calculate the OBD for 90º of the part. My old way to give the information still work, but only for a single body, or for a multibody part that are all Body linked.
