I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0   A single part (.prt) created by Creo is about 1.5G, 200 arrays, which cannot be opened using the master representation. How do I edit sketch or access the main sketch in this part file? It seems like its solidified.       

I just noticed that a suggestion from 2014 is closed and inactive and its almost 10 years later and nothing has been done. There should be an Adobe Illustrator Export option n Creo Illustrate as there is in Isodraw CADProcesss.  An option to export in vector AI format. Why isnt there?   Why are almost all ideas ignored and not implemented?  Why is dealing with PTC usually an exercise in frustration?   Answering any of these questions would be good and actually surprising...

It will show me that force required to move and object which weight around 1500kg requires a force of 2 bilions Newtons.  I am quite lost where is a problem exactly. Hello!I wish to create dynamic model for automated forklift. It will be just simple model. But my question is, I am able to create triangle of stability which is base on position of center of gravity. I can do it even with relation so my triangle will change based on weight and position of load. But will it be simulated in creo mechanism  ? I mean is it possible to create it such way that it will change shaped base on acceleration and slowing down or even when taking a turn. Thanks for answer!Martin. B

I'm making a sheet metal model, and I'm starting with one flat planar wall feature. Next, I want to "offset" this wall to create a new, unconnected flat planar wall, and make it a separate body. However, I cannot figure out how to tell Creo that this unconnected wall is meant to be a separate body. Is this possible in Creo 8?

Hello there, I cant create wire tables for the connector. I am getting this error "dbg_err_crash() - continuing from serious error". However I can create the wire table for the entire harness, only those connector table is not updating. Thanks      

I'm trying to automate the process of setting up an assembly which has a configurable pattern of components of which a number of members need to be excluded. A customer can choose any number of rows and columns for the green rectangles A.The bigger rectangle B can change position and size (or not be there at all) and is the region which should not be filled with rectangles A.  Manually this can easily be achieved by making a Direction Pattern and clicking each dot that falls in region B. However I want to automate this and create the pattern based on input parameters.  Fixed values: size of A, spacing in X and Y direction between rectangles A.Input parameters: number of instances in X and Y direction of A, position and size of rectangle B Explored options: - Fill Pattern: would be the perfect solution except for the fact that the spacing in X and Y directions is always equal. I have been looking into different ways to swap components in an Assembly based on set parameters and have been unable to find any explanation on how swapping with notebooks work. I have already managed to do this with interchange assemblies and family tables, but I wanted to also see how notebooks worked so I could better understand all my options. Does anyone have an explanation or walkthrough on the layouts of notebooks and how this can be done? A link to a simple video, article, or even just an example would be fine. As of now, I have yet to find even one reference on how this would work so I am unsure of where to start. 

HiI want to calculate the deflection along a column (or a stand-up beam) subjected to a lateral point load. The column is fixed at both ends, A and B, and the load P is acting at a distance a from the top. I know that I can easily calculate the deflection at the point of action (P), however I don't know how to determine the deflection at an arbitrary position away from P, lets say L/2. If somebody can bring some knowledge to this, I'll be very thankful 🙂

Hi, I'm working on Creo Parametric 8.0.4.0, I created a Extrude function with option until reference. As you can see below, the dimension is reverse. This problem does not occur 100% of the time, for example if I delete and redo the function, the problem is fixed. Is there a faster way to solve it then recreating the function ? Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone,I have searched through some of the discussion but I don't really understand the code that has been thrown around. I have three map keys set up in my config file. The first is ft and that opens my family table. The second is od and that opens my drawing and gives me a front cross section view, a right view, and then an iso view in the top right corner, I then pause to pick my instance and fill is my prompts such as details, date, drawn, by, part number, etc. I then use d to open the dimension tool and dimension the drawing. My question is how to I get my drawing file to open and be saved as the same name as the model file through my map keys so I don't have to go in and rename every drawing that I do? I tried to follow some peoples codes and put them in my map key code but then everything messed up. I also would like to get my drawing number box in the title block to be the same name as what the drawing and model are named. I'll attach a copy of the map key code I am runni

I've got a symbolic equation using the gamma symbol.  It seems that after performing a symbolic solve gamma is now one of the built in predefined constants - in this case Euler-Mascheroni's constant,    Is there a way to override this?    The gamma symbol is commonly defined in many other ways. 

I am developing a template which calculates the y distance between points spaced evenly on a circle. Think bar reinforcement in a circular column. The user will input the diameter of the column, d, and number of bars, N_bars, spaced evenly. I'm able to define the delta_y between points, but I'm struggling to write a program that outputs the data I want in a single array. I've attached my file for reference. I can't get a 'for' loop to work, but maybe there's a more efficient/logical way. Thank you all for the help!
