CAD

I am using Creo Schematics Release 9.0 and Datecode 0.0.0How is Schematics 9.0 integrated into Windchill. The WWGM 12.1.1.1 does not offer Schematics 9.0 as an application.

I am setting up a simple beam bending simulation of a simply supported L channel.  its 3x2x.025.  It is 24" long and 2 equally spaced load of 25000# each.  When I verify my results using the bending equations I am way off.  Can anyone suggest what is going on?   

Referring to CS80656, I want to convert a quilt surface to STL, but for curved surfaces (mirrors) it behaves like overlapping points. How can I avoid it?

I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.3.0Hi Team, The bitmap image is attached in a drawing as an object but after check-in, it's not showing in creo view, and after checkout same drawing in creo its also not visible in creo.

Often, when working on parts, especially in assemblies, I'd like to view dims from multiple features - at the same time.  Or both feature and assembly dims.  I can't find a way, so I'm hoping you know about another bit that PTC hid away. Coming from an older version, this is maddening.  I feel like I am licenced to fly and F15 but only allowed in the Cessna 150. I have resorted to working with a pad of paper so I can write down dims from all the desired features and assembly positions, so I can at least be partially productive.  This is especially useful when looking for minor interferences when there is a stack up - and for making similar changes in many features or parts.  I don't even see a way to see all the dims from one feature with 2 sketches like a sweep. Please tell me I'm missing the obvious.  Thanks.

Hi All,I would like to create a Mapkey that not only creates a STEP file, but also renames it. To further complicate this, I would like to pull parameters both from the part as well as the drawing of the part.Format would be as such:(part number)STEP_(drawing number)REV(drawing revision)Where the part number would be pulled form the part parameters, and the drawing number and revision would be pulled from the drawing parameters. Am i crazy? I realize I'm going to need some sort of external .bat file to run various commands, but I'm not sure where to start. Any help would be appreciated.Currently using CREO 4 M150 and Windchill 11. 

Good evening! There was such a problem.I'm a student. I have MathCAD Prime 8.0.0 installed. I used the trial version, and unfortunately it ended. It turns out that I need to purchase the paid version, right? And there is another problem, I'll be honest, to use this program, I created a new account every time. Now, when I receive a trial version, namely a license, a window pops up that I have received the maximum number of licenses for this program. What should I do?

The collapsed area contains the function NumberGenerator() that produces a new number for every supplied (integer) number. Three results are shown. Your task is to come up with a/the definition of the function such that it computes the (correct) value associated with 433 (and any other number in Z).   As you will find out, I've limited the function to just the three first input numbers with: Where the red placeholder should contain the code to implement the actual functionality. To not spoil the fun for others, I'll accept solutions in Prime or Mathcad as either one of: - the function NumberGenerator(), limited to the same input range, in a collapsed locked area, dated later than the timestamp above. Is there a way to use a different parameter if your primary parameter is blank that your title block references? I want my REV cell using &ptc_wm_revision to use the parameter drawing_rev if ptc_wm_revision is blank.  example: if ptc_wm_revision is blank use drawing_rev, but if ptc_wm_revision isn't blank then use ptc_wm_revision. This would be used if a team is creating drawings outside of windchill due to location, but when we put them into windchill at a later date then the revision assigned from windchill will override the prototype revision.   

Hi   So for my masterthesis I currently am testing the possibilities and restrictions with a 4-axis milling machine (Roland MDX-50 with a rotational A-axis). I am now trying to mill a football (or soccerball, I'll just call it "Ball" from now on) as you can see in the image below. Normally we do this on a 5-axis machine, but the goal is to see if  the MDX-50  can realise this piece and how precise it will be. Image 1. Ball   I already made some volume roughs (with a 6mm End Mill) and profiling steps (with a 2mm Ball Mill) on the top- and the bottom side. Hello, I have not used CAD in a while and was trying to copy a plant tray I had at home to get back to ease myself back into the program; however, I have run into problems. Perhaps I am using the pattern feature incorrectly, but when creating a new pattern based on simple extrusions and a chamfer, the program runs quite slowly. As a result of this, when I try to create a shell pattern creo always crashes and is unable to complete the action. Does anyone have any advice for me please? I have attached the file. Thanks.    

When generating a step file of a part designed with generative design, the step file becomes very large. Is there a way of reducing the file size? 

Hi,I tried to calculate minimal value of the complex argument of a Transfer function through minimize function inside a resolution bloc. Mathcad indicates that there are no solution found, try to modified initial values or TOL or CTOL, but it does not help. I think that Mathcad does not find solution because the argument does not change, but manual calculation gives different values according constraints.Could you please help me to understand why the Mathcad do not understand the constraints? Thanks Christophe PS : Using Pime 4.0     

I have a requirement to Export my Harness Drawing created in Creo Parametric to a format which can be imported into Capital Harness System(CHS) either it can be .dsi, .xml or .nwf. Please let me know if we have a option for that  

I have a current node locked license for Mathcad PTC 8.  I hear version 9 is out.  Although, I have a link for the trial version of Mathcad PTC 9 - I would rather use my license.  But, I can't seem to find a way to download the non-trial version of Mathcad PTC 9.    Is there a single link for this?

You can see two quilt icons in the Design Tree. (one red, the other purple)I am curious about the difference between these two icons.  

If the first digit of the tolerance value is 0 while creating a geometrical tolerance, 0 is not expressed and appears as shown in the figure below.Why is this? 

Hello everyone!I reworked a worksheet presented by a member of the community I think in 2018 related to the solution of a system of algebraic differential equations with a periodic sawtooth excitation function. I find quite different results depending on how the excitation function is defined. I wonder who's wrong. I enclose the version presented by the member (.mcdx) and my own (dae + 13032023.xmcd).I await your opinion.  

I'm curious if anyone has come up with a solution that is similar to using Find() w/in a Solve Block OUTSIDE of a solve block? I ask because I'd like to have the Find() ability to iterate/solve but use it as a custom function that I can call for N instances.There is a lot of value in Solve Block Find() but I have a case where I have a lot of inputs in V for which I would like to Find() solutions. I don't see this working just using a Solve Block.  

I am looking for the most efficient/quickest way to find the row containing two values in different columns of M. The function I am envisioning would be an alteration of 'lookup': lookup2(z1, z2, A, B).I have tried a few different solutions but was hoping for quicker performance. Using the masking method provided my  @Werner_E  and the efficiency of vectorizing demonstrated by @PEAH , I came up with a decent solution but was only able to cut the processing cost by ~30% when compared to Werner's FilterMlt function he helped me with not too long ago (solid function @Werner_E !). I am planning to use this lookup2 function a couple zillions times in processing data so I was hoping to cut processing time by much more!I also compared the time to run the built-in lookup function as a baseline which averaged ~0.15s @ N=10^5. I figure, looking up two values shouldn't be much more than one, max 2x 0.15 = 0.3s, but I am not able to achieve that.MCP wor

Supposedly my IT department has installed the Roark's E-book but it doesn't show up in Mathcad. Why?

There are times, when in Annotation, the mini toolbar will appear, but pressing the buttons fails.  Normally, when hovering over a button, text will pop up giving a description of what the button does.  That does not even happen.  Does anybody else have this issue?   I wonder if I have something buried in my customization's that prevent it from working all of the time.   Thanks   Tom
