I have code that I have written in C using the toolkit on Creo Parametric 12.4.3.0. It tries to connect to Creo using ProEngineerConnect(), and it works fine if Creo is up. When Creo is not running it returns a PRO_TK_E_NOT_FOUND value, which is expected. If I have the call to ProEngineerConnect in a for-loop my executable dies after the third try when Creo is not running. Here is the call:iStatus = ProEngineerConnect("",NULL,NULL,"",PRO_B_TRUE,10U,&bRandom,&hSession);This code worked just fine using Creo 10, but is failing under Creo 12. I am using VS 2022.
HiIs there a way to create multileader line from 2 sides of a Note? In my drawing it looks like this
Is there a way to create multiple leader that comes from both sides of note? I wish to have lines started from both sides or at least from the bottom of the text. Alternative solutions: I can create a note with leader on the left and attach "empty note" on the right side of the existing one and attach leader to the right side. But there is not a satisfied solution.
Good morning to everyone, also if I am an old Creo-Pro/Engineer User this is my first approach to the community :-)Every part modeled in the sheet metal environment must be unfoldable in its flat pattern configuration; otherwise, I will model it as a non-unfoldable solid part, since I would not have the features and utilities of a sheet metal part.I opened a ticket a couple of weeks ago, but it seems there are not solutions. How can we scalate this issue to have a solution from PTC ?
According to the developer guide tkusetoc, this function supports passing a drawing view argument to display annotations only in the target view starting from Creo Parametric 2.0 M060. The official documentation states:From Creo Parametric 2.0 M060 onward, you can specify the view in which the annotations for the selected feature and component must be displayed. For the functions ProAnnotationByFeatureShow() and ProAnnotationByComponentShow(), specify the view where the annotations must be displayed. If you pass the input argument view as NULL, the annotations are displayed in all the views. However, during practical development, the function returns error code -9 (PRO_TK_NOT_IMPLEMENTED) whenever a valid non-NULL ProView handle is passed to the view parameter. When passing NULL to the view argument, all annotations are displayed across every drawing view as documented, which works as expected. My business requirement is to show feature annotations exclusively in a single specified draw
Hello, since a few days i can not get a licence for Direkt Express 8.0 Free. It had worked without problems before. The manual activation fails too with just an error message. A code is not generated. I have no idea wether the problem is on my computer or on the server site. What can i do?
Summary of the IssueCreo Parametric 13.4.0.0 is causing a catastrophic failure of the Windows graphics subsystem across every machine tested, including: University lab computers Instructor workstations Student laptops My personal workstation The failure is identical across all systems: initiating certain display operations causes a full backscreen eventObserved BehaviorAcross all affected machines: Entire display system blacks out All monitors reset No Creo traceback or crash log is generated System becomes unresponsive for several seconds Creo must be manually relaunched, unsaved work is lost. Crashes occur seemingly at random. This issue is present on my personal computer, laptop, university computers, instructor computers, and other student’s personal machines.
I have a restricted value that if selected I would like for it to populate the description field in the parameter file, highlighted in yellow.
actually my question is after dividing an line into several sections how to rejoin it again into an single line segment ?
We would like to transfer our Mathcad 14.0 installation to a new hardware due to a hardware replacement. Is there any advice about how to get an updated license file?
Hi, I’m looking to upgrade from Creo 11 to Creo 12. I noticed that when I launch Creo 12 my creo_parametric_customization.ui is not taken in account anymore. The help for Creo 12 says this :The load order is automatically defined as follows:1. Administrator Customization (if it exists at the loading point (What’s the loading point ?))2. User Customization (<Users>\AppData\Roaming\PTC\ProENGINEER\Wildfire\.wf\. Settings)3. Customization of the execution directory (if the value load_ui_customization_run_dir is set to yes) I have a file creo_parametric_admin_customization.ui from my installation at this location : I have my personal file here : And I don’t have the parameter load_ui_customization_run_dir in my config.pro.When I load Creo, it loads with the default interface, why ?We are two users. I would to have a base customization for us two and let my colleague and me have it’s own customization as well. How can I achieve this ?
Hi everyone,As a long-time Creo user, I’ve dealt with my fair share of CAD administration headaches—from messy version clutter to tangled config.pro files. Over the years, I developed and refined custom scripts and batch files to automate the tedious parts of managing a Creo ecosystem.I’ve packaged those solutions into CoreCP (Creo Companion), a lightweight tool designed to handle background file maintenance, quarantine old iterations, and manage user environments effortlessly.I'm making it available to the community, and you can try a free demo here: https://coreCP.e-cogniton.netWould love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

Hey all,If you’ve used Creo Parametric for any length of time, you know how annoying file housekeeping and configuration management can get. After years of tweaking .bat files and automation scripts to keep my own workspace up, I finally decided to turn them into a complete utility: CoreCP.It handles automatic folder sweeping/quarantine, environment configuration, and version protection directly from the Windows right-click menu. You can grab a free trial at https://corecp.e-cognition.net/.Check it out and let me know what you think!
HeyI have a Mould that has 3 BodiesWhen I make a drawing I want to show only one of each bodies. My goal is in the 1st sheet I will show the views of top part of the mouldin the 2nd sheet I will show the views of middle part of the mouldin the 3rd sheet I will show the views bottom part of the mouldand in the 4th sheet I will show 1 view top part and another view middle part and so on.. each sheet will have top view, bottom view and side views of the body Please let me know how I can do it
Hi all, I've had this problem since creo 3 and can't figure it out. I've got one CSYS referenced off another CSYS, and I want to change the orientation of the child about one of its axes. In this case, it's a 90 degree elbow fitting and I want to rotate it so the hose part of the elbow is clocked but the threaded part stays in the tapped hole. So I want to re-orient about Z of the child, or about Y of the parent, which are both in the same direction. If I change the X orientation, the child CSYS 'nods' about its own X axis, as expected. Changing 'Y' orientation, the child CSYS shakes it's head left to right, again as expected. However, I want to tilt it about it's own Z axis, -100 below, but when I do that, the CSYS 'nods' again the exact same direction as when I change the X rotation. This is not what I expected and doesn't match the orientation of the dimensions on the screen. Is this a bug that has been
I have a part with a helical sweep that I need to machine. I would like it to place the tool in such a way as to follow a continuing loop from the outside edge until it reaches the bottom of the groove. This is a R.325 with 30 degree lead ins and I will be using a 1/2” ball. My initial thought was cutline, but since there really is no 2nd cutline, it doesn’t work. The auto cutline doesn’t work either. Attached is a photo. You can see where one end of the helix starts, the other end looks the same, but is 180 degrees apart from the start. I’d really like to tackle this with a continuous 4 axis motion instead of what would be a simplier approach in using straight surface milling. I’d appreciate any ideas. Thank you!
Hello everyone,I am running Creo Parametric 11.0.5.0 Education on Windows 11 ARM inside Parallels Desktop 20.4 on an Apple Mac mini M4 Pro with 12 Cores and 24 GB of RAM for the Virtual Machine. After adding the following lines at the beginning of parametric.psfENV=PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE=AMD64ENV=PRO_MACHINE_TYPE=x86e_win64Creo starts and works correctly in Shaded mode. However, as soon as Shaded with Edges is enabled, severe graphical corruption appears. Hundreds of incorrect black lines are drawn between unrelated vertices. The surfaces themselves are rendered correctly.Interestingly, during the first second while the model is still loading, the edges are displayed correctly. The corruption only appears after the loading process has finished.Changing edge_display_quality from very_high to low only changes the edge quality but does not solve the issue.Larger assemblies also eventually crash with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION.Trying the same on an older MacBook Air M1, Creo runs significan
I have a user getting the following error when launching The latest Trial version of Creo Parametric. “Creo Parametric Trial Edition is shutting down because it could not run the Quality Agent, which is required in this edition. error 0x0000000b” Anyone know a fix for this?
When configuring the print settings for Annotation and Drafting, I want the printer type, name, and paper size to be displayed with only the required setting values.

After a Wibdows 11 update some weeks ago, Microsoft Edge version 150 closes a few seconds after it is opened. This is not a problem for me normaly because I prefer to use Google Chrome. However Mathcad Prime seems to insist on using Edge.I have set Chrome as the default browser and then installed Prime 12.0.0.1 even though I use English as the Prime language. Still no good.Does anyone know how to get Mathcad Prime to use Chrome? Thanks for your help.
OK, a weird one..2 issues: 1st issue is that my Creo 9 has decided to open in a minimized state. Nothing changed on my end, except a recent windows update. Now I get a very small Creo window, when I used to get an almost maximized window. all settings are as they were the week before 2nd issue is that when I open a drawing, I get a blank sidebar, a 2nd blank ‘model tree’. There is nothing in it, and no top bar to close or anything. it’s just a blank ‘sidebar. And it covers content.. And it’s only with .DRW files.. The work-around is to close Creo, then restart it / open it again. Creo then starts up in a nearly full window, and teh blank sidebar is gone. any ideas?
