Hi all,I'm working on a Windchill-integrated template library for Creo Parametric (currently on Creo 8, i am updating to 12). The setup is a web-based app (HTML + JavaScript using Pro/Web.Link) that displays a catalog of assembly templates stored in Windchill and allows users to insert them into an active assembly The core problem:When a user selects a template from the catalog, the app needs to do a recursive "Save As" of the entire template hierarchy — renaming every template-owned component to a new order-specific name — before assembling it. Hi everyone,I am setting up a Random Vibration analysis in Creo Simulate and I am running into an issue regarding Measures. It appears that none of the measures I create are available for selection or evaluation within this specific analysis type.Specifically, I need to output the following two quantities: Failure Index: I need to track the failure index across the random vibration analysis, but it does not appear as an option. Stresses in a custom coordinate system: some standard stress components are available, but they are strictly tied to the global coordinate system. I need to evaluate direct stresses relative to a user-defined, local coordinate system. Is there a specific workflow or workaround required to enable custom measures, or to evaluate failure indices and localized stresses, for a random vbration analysis?Any insights or step-by-step guidance would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance,

When routing piping (specifically extending piping), it appears that the "To Plane/Point" and "Parallel to Axis/Edge/Pipe Segment" options in the drop-down list are grayed out, as shown below:This also appears to have been a previously noted issue (as shown in this Article - CS96331) that has yet to be resolved. Hi folks,I’m running Creo Parametric Educational Edition 12.4.0.0. and I’m having issues with my config.pro file.I’m trying to turn on “tol_display” so that I don’t have to manually turn it on every time I create a drawing. Up to this point I go into the Configuration Editor make my change, export the updated file to the “C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 12.4.0.0\Common Files\text” folder but nothing happens. Whenever I create a new drawing, I have to manually turn on tol_display for that session. Inside the new config.pro file it’s set to “tol_display yes”.So why isn’t Creo reading the updated configurations from Config.pro?

Hello PTC Support,I would like to ask for advice about the markup features in Creo View Lite.We open PDF drawings stored in Windchill using Creo View Lite, and we would like to use the markup function to add comments and feedback for the drawing creator.However, we are having some difficulty with the usability of Creo View Lite, so we would appreciate your advice.The issues are as follows:When using a PC with a mouse and keyboard, it is difficult to place an annotation exactly where we want it. Also, the annotation window is too small. When using a touch panel monitor, we want to draw lines on the drawing, but the operation is recognized as scrolling instead, so the drawing on the screen moves. We would like to write Japanese comments that require two or more strokes. However, when using the freehand tool, the input is finalized as soon as we release the mouse button or lift the pen/finger. Therefore, it seems that we can only use the “Annotation” function for comments.Could you please

I’m developing with Creo 5.0 TOOLKIT. I need to create cables and conductors programmatically. I found that higher versions provide ProCableAndConductorsCreate, but it's not available in Creo 5.0.I noticed ProCablesFromLogicalAllCreate can create all missing cables from logical references. Is there a way to use it (or other functions) to achieve the same “create a single cable with conductors” effect, without relying on a full logical import? Or must I stick with the combination of ProCableCreate and ProCableconductorCreate?Any suggested workflow or code examples would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

We recently moved from Creo Parametric 9 to 12 and me and several colleagues have an issue with dimensioning in sketcher. Sometimes I have to retry multiple times  to create a dimension between lines/ points etc. The mouse does snap but sometimes the dimension is just not created and nothing happens. Does anyone recognize this and has a possible solution?

I have a very simple assembly, I’m trying to make a pin connection.Everything seems to be ok but when i click OK. i get :17:49 Component cannot be placed.  Confirm restart.17:49 Select any reference for auto type constraining.what am i doing wrong?

the image is related. whenever i try to open the file it shows this blank screen. I’m new to creo student edition and don’t know much. I was previously an onshape user. i had made backups and made sure to save it a couple of times before closing. The random save i did while sketching is visible for some reason but none of my extrusions are visible.i scanned all my pc’s recent files to see if i had accidently saved it somewhere else too but its to no luck. The sketch from the above mentioned case is not fully visible too.

Hello, I'm having trouble developing a loop that includes break and return statements for buckling analysis. I'm also having trouble generating a combo list for the K values.  

Hi   We want to know which section is used in Flange (I, Arc, S , Open Etc...) using toolkit... Could not find any direct API for same. So , thought of using element tree. Is there any element which stores this predefined shape name for flange feature element tree?    Created a flange feature with I section, extracted element tree in XML. Modified flange as S section and extracted again element tree... Both the XML files are same so getting confused on how to identify which element is storing this information. If no element is there for this, is there any possibility to decide on this information?

Exemple : Pièce A ==> 3 TROUS Ø10 espacés de 100 mm; Pièce B ==> 4 TROUS Ø10 espacés de 25 mm. En général, dans ma table de famille j’ajoute un paramètre chaine (STRING), disons C, pour lequel j’indique alors pour la pièce A, 2x100=200 et pour la pièce B, 3x25=75. Ainsi je peux coter le générique, peu importe le nombre de trous puisque je crée une cote 2d nommée C entre le premier et le dernier trou. Jusqu’alors, le paramètre C est renseigné manuellement pour chaque instance et est donc sujet à erreur. Hey there,I’m following the mouse tutorial (Link) and loosing my hair over the geometry import at 12m13s. I cannot rectangle select the faces nor does another online workaround I read about holding right mouse button on a face and “select all” appear. The only option I have atm is selecting every single face one after another holding control. Which on some models are thousands, so not feasible. I tried holding LMB and drag, tried it with RMB, MMB, holding shift, alt or ctrl in addition but no success.Here’s how it looks (language is set to german by the company): How can I select all of them? What could be the issue that I cannot rectangle select them? Thanks and have a good day, Andy

We run FLEXnet on our company license server for Mathcad licenses. Currently on version 12. Our Mathcad license file has both permanent and subscription licenses of Mathcad Prime (and 15) in it. When a user runs Mathcad, the server first assigns a license from the permanent pool. If that pool fills up then it assigns a license from the subscription pool. The problem is when a user receives a license from the permanent pool, the license type shown within their Mathcad software says Home Use when it should say something like Commercial. This results in certain calculations being inaccessible and causing errors in their worksheet. But if a user receives a license from the subscription pool, the license type is shown as Subscription which should be fine.I would like to know why our Mathcad license server is serving us Home Use licenses instead of the commercial licenses we paid for, and how do we fix this?

Need PTC to provide Mathcad 14 license to activate Mathcad on Win 11 system

Have just paid for a licence to upgrade from MathCad Prime Express 12.0.0.0 to the full Prime version, hopefully 12.0.0.1. Following "Options|Get Licence" I have encountered a prompt asking for my product code. Where can I find this? Do I need to log in to the Fullfillment portal? Does it use the same general ptc account? It didn't recognise mine. When looking for help I am told I don't have access permission and haven't paid for that level of support. Elsewhere it says I have "Gold" level support. I an angry that you have now pointed me to a public forum where I can't post useful identification data. What a horrible mess. Can anyone help me get into contact with someone at PTC?
