After updating to Creo 12, we noticed that the behavior of the Curve Tweak function has changed compared to Creo 11. Is there any configuration, setting, or option that would allow us to restore the previous behavior from Creo 11?”
I am looking to define the variable ϕ2.min based on the table below. I have created the variables for HC and HD to define them as HC1 and HD1 etc. however I am not sure how to then pull a value for ϕ2.min based on the below selection table. Any advice here would be great!
I am trying to specify the value of a variable based on the value of a second variable. The attached table shows what I am attempting to achieve is setting the value of B2 based on the value of d in-line with the data attached. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
Hello everyone,I have a question regarding the representation of partial threads in Creo Parametric. There, only a single surface is created for the thread surface together with the hole, which makes it impossible to colour the surface of the thread. We use the following creation method for a partial thread:We like to use colouring to visually show how deep the threads should be cut.Do you have any tips and tricks for this, or is this not an issue for you?
Hello,We received from customer Bend table in format which SolidWorks read well, so we are trying to apply that in Creo (Creo 11.0.3), but as we noticed Creo has a little bit different format. It has radius and thickness and values inside are bend allowance if i understood correctly, and the table from SW have thickness, radius , bend angle (which is not affecting k-factor if u see table, so it can be ignored), and k factor as value derived (0.618, 0.619, 0.693....). Does anyone know how that should be applied in Creo and have maybe some examples, or is bend table a right way in Creo to apply this.
Back in 2012 I purchased a WF5.0 Student license. Since it is tied to the network adapter of the computer, I assigned it to a USB NIC so I could move to a new computer without requesting a new license file. While that did work for a long time, I recently started having problems with that network adapter disconnecting. (I used to remove it when I wasn’t using it to “protect it” and probably damaged a wire.)As I recall, when I moved the license from the original computer to the USB NIC, there was an email address I need to send my information to.Is that still the method to make this change, or is there another way to accomplish this task?If this is the method, can someone provide me the correct email address?
Is this possible? I somehow was thinking I was editing one of my exploded views, but I was actually editing the default view and accidentally changed/saved it. Can a component(s) be moved back to its original, unexploded position? Now, every new exploded view I create starts off with the wrong, default explode....
I created this desktop application for managing IFX fastener catalogs. Create new catalogs, add fasteners from templates, and append data rows to existing fastener files. You can also import premade fastener catalogs from McMaster Carr.Compatible with Creo 6 or later.https://github.com/mbourque/ifx_customizer
Hello, I have random lines on my part and don't know how to hide them. These lines are the exact ones that show when saving an STL file. Does someone know how I can get rid of them?
Greetings, Looking for ideas on how to report sum length of cable spool based on custom length per spool segment used in cable harness.example:spool A - length=L1, custom_length (driven from relation) =CL1, spool used N1 times in harness.total length of spool A =?the problem i have is that I can’t make any relation as there is no way to use rep.qty for cable spools in a harness.summation function is also not very flexable. I would prefer if it was function then I could create a relation with If (example: if spool a name==A sum).Is there another simpler way to solve it? Practically best solution I found is to generate the table > export to CSV > make simple excel relation.
I am the IT guy , not a user of CREO. For no apparent reason, our company has stayed on Creo 6 for a long time and it is beginning to cause some issues. The download isnt even on the site directly. Seems to be lack of support for newer PCs, etc. I only anticipate more problems. Question is: How much trouble is it going to be to upgrade to 12 from 6 in terms of people learning the new software and problems opening files? Can the 2 co-exist on a PC in case there were a problem.
We run FLEXnet on our company license server for Mathcad licenses. Currently on version 12. Our Mathcad license file has both permanent and subscription licenses of Mathcad Prime (and 15) in it. When a user runs Mathcad, the server first assigns a license from the permanent pool. If that pool fills up then it assigns a license from the subscription pool. The problem is when a user receives a license from the permanent pool, the license type shown within their Mathcad software says Home Use when it should say something like Commercial. This results in certain calculations being inaccessible and causing errors in their worksheet. But if a user receives a license from the subscription pool, the license type is shown as Subscription which should be fine.I would like to know why our Mathcad license server is serving us Home Use licenses instead of the commercial licenses we paid for, and how do we fix this?
I am running model check on a top level assembly. When I look at the assembly report there are parts that have errors however when i go into those parts or open them separately to run model check there are no errors.
I am trying to achieve one or both things - Disable what I’ll call “context-based filters” for commands. For instance - in order to add a hatch to a surface in a drawing, as far as I can tell, I must have layout tab active, and surface selected as the selection filter. If these aren’t absolute requirements, there seem to be many cases where hatch/fill isn’t available to me. It isn’t always intuitive to determine how to “expose” certain commands, and so I’d like to be able to disable default “context-based filters.” If above isn’t possible, is there a clear way to review commands and see what their requirements are? In the above example - how to know the requirements of ‘hatch/fill.’ I find it cumbersome to look up and remember the conditions for each command. I have been doing this and creating my own table, but it is becoming a burden to my workflow. If neither are possible, “not possible” will suffice. Thanks in advance.
I am trying to copy a 1xn matrix developed in mathcad prime 11 and paste it into an excel like table in ansys mechanical to build material curves for stress analysis. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do what seems like a simple task. Is this an easy thing to do?
Would anyone know if you can reference the Component Feature Number (not internal feature ID) in a relation for a filter in an assembly drawing repeat region?Wanting to use features in an assembly model tree, 2 features at a time using their location in an assembly model tree to control what components are displayed in an assembly drawing BOM table on a particular sheet.Basically, if the components are between any 2 features in the model tree that I specify, I want to show them and only the quantities for the parts in the BOM table repeat region on a drawing sheet for the components that reside between the 2 features in the model tree.Features would be named Sheet_2, Sheet_3, Sheet_4, Sheet_5, etc. and could be an annotation feature, datum plane, or other feature.Repeat region filter would be if greater than feature number for Sheet_2 and less than feature number for Sheet_3 display component info and qty of part in that section of model tree in BOM table. Each drawing sheet will build
Hello,I am looking for help with an issue involving sheet metal flat patterns, Creo Parametric, and Creo View.I am using Creo Parametric 10 and Creo View 12. When I create a flat pattern of a sheet metal part in Creo Parametric, the automatically generated bounding box overall length and width dimension annotations display correctly in Creo Parametric. However, when I open the corresponding file in Creo View, those automatically generated flat pattern bounding box dimensions do not appear in the Creo View viewable state. One thing I have noticed is that if I create manual dimensions in Creo Parametric, those manual dimensions do come through and display in Creo View correctly. The issue seems to be specific to the automatically generated dimensions created during flat pattern creation.Has anyone else seen this behavior with automatically generated flat pattern bounding box dimensions not publishing or displaying in Creo View? Are there any settings, publishing options, annotation display
In Creo assembly design, is it a good practice to first validate the concept using Layout, then define a Skeleton model, and finally create parts within the assembly using skeleton references?Does this approach help avoid assembly issues, or are there better recommended workflows?
When looking at a large assembly in CreoView, is there a way to see the MBD annotations for ONLY a particular part or ONLY a particular sub-assembly? Can you go and pick and choose what annotations to show in Creo View?
Hi,I have a file that can’t be opened by Mathcad Prime.I just get the message “File type not supported”.Anyone got any tricks to find ways to repair the file?I attached the file here in .zip format since mcdx format is not supported.
I have set up an account to download the free Creo Viewer version, for viewing only. However, when I click on download and try to enter my username: and enter my password which is the one I initially set up, it gives me an error message that the username or password is wrong. If I click on trying to reset password, it brings up a page for me to enter my suer name which is my email, then it asked me to enter the three digit numbers that are underlined in order, and when I do it, it just circles right back to me having to enter my username and the three digit code at bottom. Also please see attachments of when I try to login. The attachments are in order per the steps.
I have old ProE workspaces but I cannot open them. I get this errorerror messageIs there anyway to open these? I know there are files in there because I was able to open them with an old copy of ProE. That is no longer an option. Any ideas?
Hello, i have problem with installation of mathcad. I couldn't go next from ,,Aplication Selection'' window so i haven't installed mathcad yet. Thanks for help.
