Codebeamer

Hi, As system and project administrator in Codebeamer I need to develop scripts to fulfil the requirements of my users, when the out-of-box functionality of Codebeamer is not sufficient. F.e. I want to prevent having multiple downstream references from items within the same tracker. Coming from RVS Trigger Scripts debugging was a pain, but there were extensive JavaDocs available. With Codebeamer all I could find was some examples (https://support.ptc.com/help/codebeamer/r2.1/en/index.html#page/codebeamer/developers_guide/649989.html#), but no documentation which objects or classes are available and how to use them. How do you actually develop custom scripts?Am I supposed to just guess which Beans are available?

Hi, I like to have a dynamic list of tracker names/links to tagged trackers on a wiki page.I can do something like that with a report, but it list all tracker items. Also, a plugin would be oka Example Project NameTracker NameTagsTracker IDP1AT1, T2, T31P2BT12P2CT23 as Plugin: [{TrackerList tags='T1'}]as QueryWHERE trackerTag IN ('T1') GROUP BY "Tracker Name'but  only list the (linked) Tracker name (as it is, it lists all Items in the trackers). Result (ideally): [Tracker in P1|TRACKER:1]\\[Tracker in P2|TRACKER:2]\\ 

Hello, We would like to make excel export template for one of our trackers.The field containing this tracker includes, among other things, a table with 4 columns with a varying number of entries per item.We would like to create a template that will extract all the entries from these tables for each item. We tried to create a loop in this way: ActionAction OwnerAction StatusFollow UpDue Date<jt:forEach items="${items.Table[0]}" var="row"> ${row.customField[1]}${row.customField[0].name}${row.customField[2].name}${row.customField[3]}${row.customField[4]} </jt:forEach> This causes the correct number of rows to be generated per item after export, corresponding to the number of entries in the table in codebeamer, but no data is displayed. Has anyone ever tried to create such a template and knows how to code it?Thank you

Could you please provide guidance on where to start, which topics or skills I should focus on, and any resources or best practices for a beginner in this area?

I created a stream to test the feature. I can not see in the UI how to delete it. And there is no end-point in the REST API to delete a stream.

Is there a way to create a tracker item of type "Document" via the REST API?  I have 10,000 documents to upload along with some meta-data and am looking for a programmatic solution.

How can we get last test results in test case via api or compute fields？

Hello,I am trying to create a custom Word template to use when exporting completed test runs out of my Test Runs tracker using the "Export to Office" functionality in Codebeamer 3.1. I have a couple additional custom fields in my Test Steps in both my Test Cases and Test Runs trackers. I can access most of the Test Step information using expressions like: «item.testCaseRuns.testStepResults.col4»However, if I try to use the column number associated with my custom fields located in the Test Step Results table in my Test Runs tracker, it fails and defaults to the author rather than the content in my custom field. Any help would be much appreciated!

I have CB 3.1.0.1 integrated with WC 13.2.1 via the DPT integration and from CB I can click on the linked part to see information about it but I don't have the Creo View widget.  Am I missing something in the configuration for this to be enabled or perhaps an additional extension to install?

Hi, I want to manage the members of a codebeamer project preferably using REST API.  Swagger doc shows a  GET /v3/projects/{projectId}/members endpoint for retrieval, but doesnt show any PUT or PATCH or DELETE methods.  Is this operation to add or remove members to a project not available via REST API?

Due to some reasons, our Codebeamer has separate internal and external network access addresses. After our Codebeamer was upgraded to V2.2.1.3, when we open the Review Hub, it consistently points to the internal network address and cannot adapt according to the browser's domain name. In the previous version V2.1.0.0, this issue did not exist. How can we make the Review Hub's address change dynamically?

Is there a way that I can develop against a Codebeamer Server that is meant only for 3rd party developers ? I think there is a plugin that would be worthwhile to add yet I don't have a Codebeamer Environment to develop against. Maybe this could be a general thing for any 3rd party developer to develop against while their plugin is in the "development" phase ?

Hello, I'm wondering, is there a possibility to import structure of sprints i.e. from Excel to the release type tracker?There is no such an option in expandable menu like in other trackers.

I created a custom choice field to add the links of requirements of same project but from a different tracker. When I try to add it by clicking on the 'pencil icon' then a page appears with error "codebeamer refused to connect". This functionality is not working in any of the projects now, although it was working before. How to resolve this?

Question:How can we integrate results of Google tests performed through jenkins with codebeamer. Can the plugins like xUnit uploader be used directly with Gtest XML?Purpose:Confirm whether codebeamer xUnit importer can directly consume gtest XML, and would they automatically update the existing test cases with new test runs?Background:We run automated unit tests using Google Test. Our requirements and test cases are modeled and mapped in codeBeamer. We want to automatically associate the results of our CI test runs with the corresponding test cases in codeBeamer so that test runs and traceability are created/updated from Jenkins.

External SCM commit items attached to a task item is not visible under the traceability tab of a work item, even after checking the show external SCM checkbox.I have linked CB with Github using external SCM repository option.I was able to get these items before updating to version 3.0, is there anything i am missing?
