Creo+ and Creo Parametric

I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.0.01. how to understand toolkit api ProDrawingViewOutlineGet ?This API returns the result ProPoint3d outline [2], why can this result describe the outline of this view?2.how to confirm notes inside drawing boundary ?

@ChrisG I did what all you said until the end in topic. There is no protk.dat file to reference under the "Configurations files read." Do I just create a .dat file like the original commenter did or how do I go about this?

I'm trying to follow the directions, from:https://www.mathworks.com/help/smlink/ref/linking-and-unlinking-simmechanics-link-software-with-proengineer.html So I can access the toolkit and simulate my assembly in Simulink, but I can't seem to find the protk.dat file the website mentions.  I looked in the configuration files that PTC Creo is running and the protk.dat file wasn't there either. I attached a screenshot below. How should I go about this?

Is there a way to use Material Side: (side one, side two, both sides) to drive a parameter through pro-program or relations? 

I have an assembly with a note I would like to have displayed in a combination state. When in the model I have to click on the note in the model tree in order for them to appear. If I click on the "show annotations" button the notes appear but so does every note down the piece parts which is way too many and cluttered on the screen. Once I switch combination states and go back (despite hitting the update button) the notes are gone again. How can i get only the notes/annotations in the top level assembly to show? The show annotations dialog box has nothing in it to select or filter.

I have a piping model done in Creo 8 piping. The line has valves in it. They are inserted valves and are intelligent,  When we export a .pcf file to use in another piping software. The piping is cut where the valves are, so it knows the valves are there, but the valves do not appear in the other software. If I open the .pcf in notepad it shows the location Any help would be appreciated.   KM

Hi everyone, I am using Creo 9.0, and when trying to open one of the variations of my project created through nested families, the parameter I want to change gets changed but there is no way to regen the model. Hi All,Any ideas how to get the number of Pattern Members when using a Point Pattern? I'm not looking to drive the number of Points in the Sketch with this, it's display only. Use case is an irregular pattern of holes, and everything works fine except I don't have a way to add the number of holes to the hole callout. On a Dimension (and Table Pattern I think) this shows up as a parameter that can be added.Thanks in Advance

Hello! I need to modify display style usingJ-link.But I don't find any API.

I am using creo 8.0.Working in assembly , when I create new component I don't  see option of 'Leave the component un placed' which is usually on highlighted section. How can I turn it on ?   Below is image I found on website

Hello, is it possible to set the Remove feature with "Leave open" mode checked by default? Sometimes I leave it unchecked by mistake and start collecting surface patches, but Creo slows down trying to calculate ways of closing the quilt. If possible, I would set the Creo config with "Leave open" checked (also, I prefer to uncheck it after selecting a bunch of patches, instead of waiting each time a new patch is added). I am using Creo Parametric 10.0.2.0 Background: I am an experienced Electrical Engineer, have used AutoCAD my whole career, mostly 2-D but have done 3-D objects. I recently learned Altium and have done 2-D and 3-D modeling there. I have used Creo to view objects in the past as well as creating assemblies with pre-existing 3-D models. In short, I have background in CAD and 3-D modeling, and in Creo, but not in Creo 3-D modeling from scratch. However, today I have been asked for the first time to create a 3-D model in Creo - and I am struggling. I am starting with the simplest model imaginable, but I have yet to grasp it. I just need a flat panel. The panel is a flat rectangle with small rectangular "ears" with a thickness of 1.5 mm.. I created a sketch of 3 rectangles: one large and two small rectangles each on the center of the long side. Good day to you sir I am trying to solve a similar situation for an intermediate shaft in a 2-stage gearbox but not modal analysis rather a simple von Mises  static analysis on the whole shaft length, would like to know how to adapt these loads and constraints and other idealizations to run a similar case, is it necessary to idealize all the whole bearing Assembly like this or just adding 2 spring idealization and a weighted link to the surface area of the acting bearing suffice, as far as the simulation is on the shaft, the consideration of gear teeth doesn't matter so applying torque on the disk with pitch diameter is satisfactory right ? i would like to know how to apply idealized torque on these 2 helical gears while i have 2 fixed bearing holding this shaft and enduring a preload in between. regards

First of all, this is my first MDO project. It is all relatively new for me.I want to get axial reaction forces in a frame of a cylinder housing in order to simulate vibrations.I used 4 pin constraints and created measures on them. They work fine in radial directions, but not in axial direction. Only 1 constraint reacts, no matter what loads I apply.I tried both with a constant force on the piston as a torque motor on the drive-shaft. Most of you Creo guru's will recognize the model.. Which mechanism constrain do I need to get all the reaction forces? The shaft makes 1 revolution in 0.06 sec. Model attached (engine.asm)

So I wrote a java program to read some tables. I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0First I should point out that I have been using Creo since early ProE. I have generated thousands (literally) of drawings.I have a plate with some holes, some tapped and some not. I am not able to show the threads on the tapped holes.

I'm trying to change the Text tool in the sketcher so that a certain font and alignment is used every time. I can create a mapkey, but if I continue to make a second text item the settings go back to the default. Is there a way to change this? I didn't see any options in the config editor.

Hi,I have a drawing with a model that has a inherited model (not sure if that matters).I am trying to change the crosshatching but in Layout tab, the crosshatching is unable to be selected.I also changed the crosshatching on the cross-section in the model, but it does not update on the drawing. Is there any other way to change crosshatching when it is unselectable on the drawing?
