Creo+ and Creo Parametric

My problem seems a variation on the one queried by the OP.  I want Creo to open in L:\Projects\Creo_Files instead of C:/users\Me*\OneDrive\Documents.  I am able to make l:\Projects\Creo_files a working directory in the environmental section of the configuration options, but that doesn't do it. I tried making the L:\Projects\Creo_files a start directory as a Property in the shortcut in windows 11, but that didn't work either.   What should I do?

Hey All,I am stuck, trying to rename some groups in my assembly file but it does not let me. Usually I can just right click, then click rename, or I can slow double click and it will let me rename a group or feature.I created a datum plane to just test it, and again cannot rename that through those means. But if I edit the plane and use the toolbox where it lets you name it, that works.So dont really know what is going wrong with the naming feature. I have restarted CREO multiple times and its been the same for a few days now.Anyone else run into this?

Can anyone help me with this issue? I’m facing problems offsetting the highlighted surfaces due to high curvature.   Kind Regards, Adnan

I want to quickly see location (on the hard drive) of the part I am working with. I work with big assemblies in different folders. Sometimes parts are the same.   With Creo it's not clear. I looked for the answers. Suggestion is to edit config file. Is that really that complicated? And how to actually edit it?    Looked at this http://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_optm/usascii/index.html#page/optm/options_modeler/fund_five_sub/Setting_config_pro_Options.html They say go to Tools > Environment. But I don't have that menu option.   Your help is highly appreciated!

Sometimes you need to clean up CAD data before sharing it with a third party or you would like to update Start parts templates and remove old PDM parameters. You need to Set config.pro options: dm_emulate_ilink_sys_parameters=yes allow_create_pdm_param=yes  

I want to convert part/assembly file into pvz file with custom proepview.pvr file, and i don't have a permission to change anything in "C" drive so i was planning on setting it up in a other drive but i cant find any specific setting/config... so is there any option available to set configuration for your custom recipe file??  

When I create a new hole in a creo model, is there a way that I can default to "Type - Standard" and also have the "Size - Thread type:" already looking at the correct .hol file? Right now it defaults to "Type - Simple' and "Size - Thread type: ISO" Thanks for your help!

It seems like the stock table does not consider AFX created plates, only beams. Is this correct behavior?Another thing I wonder is if there is any possibilities to export the stock length info from the model itself to a text format, so I don't need to go through a drawing to get this information?Thanks!Regards Yngve(Creo Parametric 11.0.4.0)

Goal: One drawing format which will populate specific data and not matter if the drawing model is a single part or an assembly. Using a repeat region I am trying to pass model material along with a few other items into a title block.  I can successfully make this happen byUsing 2 different formats so the repeat region calls outmbr/ptc_material/ptc_material_nameasm/mbr/ptc_material/ptc_material_nameUsing 1 format, but making all drawing models assemblies so that the item 2 always is present.Is there a way to use repeat region relations in order to have a single format with a repeat region which works if the drawing model is a part or an assembly?  I'm not sure if it is even possible, or if I simply am having an issue with syntax and formatting.

Hello Community, We have many parts that were created in an old version of Creo when there was no multi-body function yet.All of these parts have the color assigned to the part level.If I now change the material, the new material color is assigned to the body level.However, the old part color remains in the model.When I export a STEP file, the old color of the part is used and the new color of the body is ignored. Yes, I can manually delete the color from the part level, but that takes a lot of effort for each part.Is there a way to automatically remove the part appearance color from all parts?Or is there a way to apply the color to both the body and the part when assigning the material? Thank you!

Hi, Can someone help me to create a relation in a bom to change a parameter to another number for cage_code? I have something at the bottom of the relation in the bom table that is obviously incorrect. I have attached a simple drawing in creo 8. I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.3.0I used CREO Distributed Batch to run DXF export mapkey task but keep failing, I've confirmed there is no any Creo launch initialization dialog box pop-up when running CREO client and I tried both default export task type and my mapkey they all failed. I don't see any log file generated. I ran my mapkey manually and it did work successfully

When zoomed into my model, I am noticing significant lag when panning, rotating, and trying to sketch. I did not see this issue previously when using 11. I updated to 12 due to an update of my graphics card but I am still editing a file created in 11. I haven't used Creo in a while, but I don't remember it being like this.The image shows how far away my sketch cursor is from my mouse. After a bit the sketch cursor catches up. Is this behavior normal?
