we are using Creo 9best way convert these segmented surfaces to 1 continuous surface ?thanksRich
I want to add some kind of table that can determine bend radius according to sheet thickness i am switching from solid edge
Looking for a way to put heat shrink on a harness and have it show up in the BOM. Ideally, I have a "part" for the heat shrink and I add to where ever its needed on the harness. Then it totals how much I used and throughs it into the BOM. Is this possible in the same way the spools are done? Or are there other ways to do this?
Hi team I have a doubt regarding how to calculate the smallest distance between edges using the toolkit. This is specifically for a sheet metal part.Does anyone know how to accurately calculate the edge-to-edge distances or if there’s any workaround available for this? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.I've attached the image for your reference.
Hi, Is there anyway to include level in the index for a multi-layer BOM. For example, I like to have index "1" for first level of assembly and "1.1" as the 2nd level, "1.1.1" for 3rd level and so on and so forth? This is the format of the ERP system required to import the data into it. I am using Creo 9. In the table repeat region can only have "rpt.idex" or "rpt.level".. But "rpt.level" on show 1,2.3.. for the level. Thanks
We have many models that were created with an older start part, meaning that some layer rules did not get applied before the model was released. One of these critical rules is to put the auto-generated hole note on a layer and then hide it.Now we are working in an assembly with these parts in it. These auto-generated hole notes are showing up at the assembly level. Is there a way to hide them without revising the already released part? Is there a layer rule that can be used to collect an annotation from a lower level part and then hide it?
Hello everyone,How can I remove the "Expand All" command from the navigation trees? It’s an extremely annoying icon.Thank you in advance for your help.Pavel

My company recently gave us 3DCONNEXION spaceballs and they're pre-mapped with a special orientation wheel menu. I don't use a spaceball, but I would like to assign that function to one of my mouse buttons. Is this possible?
does anyone know how to fix this creo license issue the status of the license says unreachable
Is there a Quick Installation Guide and a Product Code for Creo 12 Student Edition? If so, where can I find them?
Welche Lizenz benötige ich zur Verwendung von "Creo Ansys Simulation" in Creo Parametric 11.0?
Hello all,i am having a hard time trying to model a part based off the measurement report that we have gotten and i am wondering what i am doing wrong or how to more accurately model the part. when i try to use a sweep function, i find that one or more corners (depending on if it has 3 or 4 faces) tend to be slightly off. is there a different function i can use to force creo to make a body that fits within the coordinate boundaries? the surfaces should be flat . CREO Parametric 6.0.6.0
Hello, I am looking to ensure a connector is related correctly to another subassembly. I would like to relate this connector to a skeleton model, but am having trouble doing so. This connector was originally brought in through ECAD/MCAD collaborator with an IDX export from my ECAD tool. If I delete all the instances from the ECAD import and manually place these related to the skeleton model I am unable to push their locations back to ECAD. I am using version 10.0.4.0. Thanks in advance for your help,Tanner
What is the funtion for the section option, "Single Part Surface"? How do I reverse the command?
Hello, I need to start out by saying Im new to Options modeler, trying to explore the possibilities. In my scenario, I am creating a configurable product of a Hydraulic cylinder. In this scenario I have some options like Bore size, port type, temperature range etc. Is it possible to suppress or un suppress certain features of one of the parts, for eg. the cylinder barrel can have different type of port feature based on the option selected. Additionally for option like temperature, I need to be able to switch the material of certain parts in the cylinder. Im exploring this since the permutations and combinations keep growing and my understanding is that you can only add or remove a part/sub-assembly in the final BOM. The current approach would involve having a CAD part for every Port configuration and different parts for every material which again is not promoting reuse.
Hello, right now I have Creo with MDO and advance simulation. I have seen other threads using MDO for Drop test simulation. I was wondering if say I simulated the object dropping is there a way with my simulation to see the stresses/deformation present in the object after dropping. Thank you
Hello, I have MDO and advance simulation. I wanted to know if there is a way to do a drop-test simulation in Creo? I will be neeeding this to test a product that a customer is asking us to design. Any resource would be much appreciated. Thank you
We have dozens of older parts/drawings that were made before we found our footing with Creo... Now, whenever we open an older part/drawing and try to bring it up to snuff (adding shaft tolerances, using the block tolerance for what doesn't need to be explicit, etc.) someone has to make a note of all the existing tolerances because changing from ANSI to ISO changes all the explicitly set tolerances to the "standard". I understand this might be useful to some people, some of the time - but am I really to understand that this "best of the best" software package isn't smart enough - or can't be configured - to leave what is explicitly set, well enough alone?
Hi, I have a lot of "imported feature" files that seem to slow the parent assembly when opening, rotating and zooming the view.I believe this is related to the fact that CREO 9.0 tries to access the local path T:\DEFINITIVI\... linked to the imported 3D model: is there a way to unlink the 3D model from the original file path? Thank you
I'm trying to exclude parts from the BOM. I was instructed to open Repeat Regions, then select Filters, then click on the BOM and 2 options would appear, Remove: By Rule or Buy Item. But it will not even let me click on the BOM. Not sure why its not functioning properly.
Hello Everyone Does anyone know how to adjust the CL tool path player simulation speed. With the slider set to as slow as possible, it is way too fast to see anything useful, there must be a way to alter the playback speed of the tool path player. Thank you Peter
Hi all, I am learning how to run a thermal analysis on a PCB using CREO. I do not have a ECAD-MCAD license. I got some sample PCBs from KICAD and tried importing it to CREO. I tried using a .emn and .emp file extensions but only a rectangle was imported. Then I tried importing it as a .step file. It loaded all the components. But I am not able to get the Vias, Copper Routing, Solder masking etc nothing on my CREO. How can I import the PCB file properly on CREO? A proper guide to this will be very much appreciated as I am a beginner using CREO for ECAD. Kind Regards, Naresh
Hi, Just joined the community, and I got some doubts in applying color coding thru EMX. I'm not still not quite good in editing parameters. and just want to implement this in our shop. so detailing will be minimized. for example I want to differentiate relief hole to a sliding fit holes (screw hole and Dowel hole). Kindly, I want to know how to control this color coding. kindly site some examples and where to locate the configuration and how to set it up. thank you, Christopher,
I’m simulating a machine where a thin sheet is cut and then folded to form an envelope around a separator. The motion study is done in Creo Mechanism, and I plan to render in KeyShot, but I can’t get the sheet’s actual deformation in Creo. I’m thinking of animating the sheet in Blender and then bringing that together with the exported Creo assembly mechanism for the KeyShot render. Has anyone tried this?
