Using the Open Torque Tool Protocol driver, I am struggling connecting a Atlas Copco MT Focus 6000 (not Power Focus). According to the Kepware driver supported devices, this is a supported device. However, it has proven impossible to connect to the LTR tags and the 1201/1202 tags to get torque results. We have validated that the 'Communication' messages are successful and valid, and can validate data via diagnostics. However, the driver does not recognize the data format and sets most tag quality to 'Bad (Out of Service)' We have tried every message revision and MID8 / MID60.  Is it truly possible to get torque result data from an MTF6000 using Kepware's Open Torque Tool Protocol driver?

We are currently experiencing a performance issue with our OPC UA communication. We have an application developed in FactoryTalk View SE version 15, which displays several graphical screens that rely on data coming from Kepware 6 through an OPC UA connection.The problem is that the graphical elements take a long time to receive updated information from Kepware. The data refresh rate is significantly slower than expected, causing delays in the visualization of real‑time values.We would like to understand what could be causing this slow performance and what actions we can take to improve the responsiveness of the OPC UA communication. Specifically, we are looking for recommendations to optimize OPC UA settings, data update rates, server load, or any other configuration that could help increase the communication speed between Kepware and FactoryTalk View.

My client has ThingWorx Foundation 9.4.4, Utilities 9.4.0, and Navigate 9.4.2 and want to upgrade to everything to 10.1.  The Utilities 10.1 Help Center upgrade matrix lists 9.5.5 as the minimum version that can be upgraded to 10.1.  Is that truly the case or can I upgrade from 9.4.0?  Or do I need to upgrade to Foundation/Utilities 10.0 then upgrade to Foundation/Utilities 10.1?

Hi All, I've created an Industrial Thing with a Kepware connection. I want to create an application where adding and binding properties will be done from code without using Composer.I tried to connect the ready properties with remote bind using the service SetRemotePropertyBindingWithout success.I tried to create a new property using AddPropertyDefinition and it also didn't work. my aspcect json looks like that :{ "industrialDataType": "String", "tagAddress": "DB2000.STRING0.20", "scanRate": 1000, "tagType": "Static", "readOnly": "true" }Where I did something wrong?

Looking to create a service that will copy/move a file from a ThingWorx FileRepositoryThing to a Windchill Product subfolder. This is to be triggered by a service call from a ThingWorx mashup. Where I have seen information is for creating a file related to primary content for a task. This would be in a subfolder under a product.

We are planning to replace those machines one by one, but we want to make sure we do the transfer correctly without risking:• losing the licenses• having them become invalid• or incurring additional costsWe understand that the standard procedure is to use License Utility → Transfer a product activation to generate a transfer request file, upload it to the PTC licensing portal, and then activate the license on the new machine.However, in our case, we do not currently have access to the original PTC licensing account / login information that was used when these licenses were activated. Hi all,I have been tasked with setting up a new kind of alerting in thingworx. It involves tracking a property value constantly and if it has been outside of the limits for a certain duration (in my case 30 minutes straight) then it will alert.  I'm stumped on how to go about this in an efficient manner as we would be constantly checking many properties at once with this logic. ~100 per thing across several things. Is there any built-in way to do this? Or has anyone done something similar? 

If I create a notification entity in composer, and a trigger, it will put information about this in 2 tables in the DB (notificationcontent_model, notificationdefinition_model). When I delete a trigger, it is not deleting this row from the table. Because of this, I cannot create a new trigger with the same name on the same notification entity. For now, I have been deleting this row in the DB table in order to ensure this name is available for use again. I also noticed the same thing happens if you delete the entire notification entity. None of its data are removed from the tables in the DB. Is this a bug? Are there any side effects to removing these rows from the table in the DB when a trigger is deleted? 

  Hi everyone, I have a use case where a client application calls a ThingWorx service every 10 seconds.The service is very lightweight and only returns a single property value (no database queries, no file access, no loops). From a ThingWorx performance and best-practice perspective:   Is this polling interval considered acceptable? Are there any concerns regarding scalability or platform load for such a setup? Any guidance or experience-based feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Any CSV file generated by the Data Export mashup function is formatting any string data fields like an excel formula (ie string value: Example; in CSV file: ="Example").This improper formatting is visible both in Excel as well as when opening the CSV file in a text editor like Notepad++ This issue only occurs when the Data Export option is set to "CSV Excel Formatted". When the Exporter option is set to "CSV Standard" any string fields are treated and formatted as plain strings. This workaround however comes with the warning: "Enabling this property allows users to export data in a non-sanitized CSV format. Use this option only if you trust the data source." implying that this option should generally not be used.Inclusion of a BOM had no effect on this issue with either formatting option.What can I do to prevent the improper formatting of the string data? The issue is affecting the ability of users to analyze the exported CSV data when needed. 

Hi everyone, I’m facing an issue with a Thing-based DataChange event (Generic).I have a Thing (Dataset) that contains a property and a DataChange event bound to it.The event works perfectly fine with administrator user but now for other user which is not administrator and have rights on this project only.     However, when I test with another user account, the event does not trigger at all — even though: I’ve already granted full Run Time permissions (Property Read/Write, Service Execute, Event Execute, Event Subscribe) to the user group. I’ve also given Visibility permissions to the Thing. Still, the event only works for the admin user.   Could anyone please confirm what exact permissions are required for a DataChange event to trigger correctly for non-admin users?        

Hello I have followed all the steps as mentioned in the article, I have installed the new tomcat 9.0.110 but my thingworx is still redirected to older tomcat version if I stop that thingworx page is not loading  Two questions  1) do we need to use older(9.0.88) web.xml and server.xml and copy into new tomcat webapps  2) I was not able to understand point 6 in the article  https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS272588 as it says directly copy the older ones and paste into new tomcat folder  VS  Point 19 and 20 says that we need to edit web.xml and server.xml https://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx/platform/r9/en/index.html#page/ThingWorx/Help/Installation/Installation/install_java_and_apache_tomcat.html#wwID0E4KGM do we need to remove the older tomcat folder from  C:\Program Files (x86)\ThingWorxFoundation\tomcat  

I have a python code that reads data from excel and sends to kepware, I am trying to set this up and setup the tags in kepware as a server, and the python as a client. This will eventually be connected to a DeltaV system which is another client, but for now I want to test my code sending data into Kepware. Which drivers should I use for this purpose? 

I am using ThingWorx version 9.3 with the MQTT Extension version 3.1. After configuring MQTT, the connection remains in a disconnected state, but it has been verified to be connected through a client tool.

Hi all, I have an alert set up in thingworx and I want to reset the alert each time it is called. This way it will alert every time a value is outside of the alert limits, not just the first time.  For example, say our alert for property X is an Above alert type with limit line of 5. Say X goes to 6, and an alert is triggered. If it then goes directly to 7, an alert does not trigger. I want it so that on any value that is above the threshold the alert triggers. Is this possible?

Hello, I am trying to configure Atlas Copco Micro Torque MTF 6000 in Kepware and as per device documentation the MIDs for this device are used differeltly than that of full Atlas Copco Open Protocol. e.g.     My question here is, how should I use the MID 008 to read the last torue value, I know that in device settings there is an option to enable the use of generic subscibe which enables MID 008, but what will be the tag address then for torque value? or it will be same "LTR_TORQUE_VALUE". (FYI I am a Thingworx developer & have a limited orientation towards industrial protocols & their working)    

Current Status: There are currently two methods for data collection in our project: PLC-based collection and soft collection (files/databases/protocols, etc.). For soft collection, the data is pushed to the OPC UA Server via the OPC UA protocol. Both PLC and soft collection devices are configured in Kepware, which ultimately integrates with ThingWorx. .Issue Description: The collected data parsed by the soft-sampling device all records the post-event time. How can the timestamps be stored when logging data for points bound to the modeled device in ThingWorx?  Use the time parsed by soft sampling instead of the default timestamp from the sampling points?

We are currently using Pingfederate as CAS and Microsoft Azure Entra ID as IDP . We want to switch and only use Azure Entra ID as both CAS and IDP. We are able to authenticate users using Entra ID in thingworx but now we want to do API communication between Thingworx and SAP. We did a API configuration in entra ID and able to generate token. Now token requests to Thingworx REST endpoints using OAuth 2.0 access tokens (JWTs) from Azure are returning 401 Unauthorized errors.
